You register, then receive a list of places that are dog friendly. When you have checked it at all the stops your dog receives a special tag! Some of the stops even have discounts. So anyways, about the preserve... This is a little off the beaten path but all in all not too far off 275. It runs along the river and has some nice views of such. There is ample parking in the lot, along with dog waste bags, trash cans, a Port o Potty, and a covered pavilion (although it has no tables right now). There is a non motorized boat launch, although it is a little far for carrying your kayak from the parking area. The trail map is easy to understand and the trails themselves are well marked. There is a woodsy area and a grassy area of trails. Its really all beginner stuff, so not too strenuous, just nice scenery. The place seemed clean and well maintained.

They had low climbing walls and nets, low enough for small kids, challenging enough for some of the older ones. There's seating all around the play areas, for watchful caregivers. There are some benches and picnic tables outside the fence, and several of us who didnt have immediate supervisory roles sat there with ice cream or coffee (or in my case, bourbon-spiked-coffee :-).

We took the free Connector streetcar from almost the most-northern stop, at Findlay Market to the most-southern stop on 2nd Street west of Main (May 2026). It's a less-then 15 minute walk to the Rosenberg Riverfront Swings (funded by a Mr. Rosenberg) which offer a stunning overlook of the Ohio River and the Kentucky riverfront! We walked south across Mehring Way, then west through Smale park. A little ways past the suspension bridge, the path curves toward the river, and there are about 20 two-person and three-person swings, shaded under wavy wood-slat canopies. Midday on a weekday there were plenty to choose from. What a splendid peaceful oasis!

The tournament is located in the Lindner Family tennis center in Mason, Ohio which is a small town just outside of Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Open is a lead-up tournament before the U.S. Open. I've been visiting this tennis tournament almost every year since 2021 but my first year visiting was in August 2016. I recently visited in August 2026 to watch all day quarterfinal matches. EASY ACCESS TO PLAYERS -- This year, on Friday, 21 August 2026, when I visited, I got to watch American, Coco Gauff practice, and also Italian, Lorenze Musetti practice. The line was reasonable and there were even lots of chairs open to sit to watch them practice. I love coming to the Cincy Open because attendees get easy access to the male and female tennis players compared to a grand slam tournament. Although I've never been to a grand slam tournament (yet), I heard and have seen videos/pics online of extremely long lines to see players practice and long lines for food. While the Cincy Open has lines for food, the lines aren't as crazy as a Grand Slam tournament. In addition, the lines to enter the tennis courts are not as long as a grand slam tournament. In 2025, the tennis centre opened with a brand new campus after approximately a $250 million dollar renovation. I enjoyed visiting the tournament last year with the new facilities and I've also enjoyed visiting it this year, in 2026. FOOD/DRINKS -- There is a food court outside with about 10 vendors serving actual food and dessert such as BibiBop (rice, noodles, and protein), Acai bowls, tea/coffee, ice-cream, etc. TENNIS GROUNDS -- After the massive renovation was completed in 2025, the tennis grounds are even better. The whole centre looks similar to a big country club. There is one big center court, a grandstand court, then other smaller courts. There are also plenty of practice courts for the players to utilize. This is a paved path that runs from Dayton past Newtown…read more They are trying to expand the connection from Newtown to Lunken, which would then connect to downtown. They are working on putting in a bridge to get across the river after the trailhead in Newtown. They are hopeful to start in the spring of 2021. I usually park my car in Loveland, as I live in that area. When I ride my bike, I try to head towards Milford. From Loveland to a little bit past Milford and back, is about a 20 mile round-trip. If I ride from Loveland to the trail head at Newtown, there is a small addition of the trail that runs through a park in Anderson and dead ends under the bridge where the project will eventually begin. This additional 3 mile stretch can add 6 miles onto your bike ride, and it's one of my favorite parts! There are tons of wildflowers to see and is in direct sun. When it is windy, this 6 mile stretch can be difficult, as there is nothing breaking the wind (you are not in the woods anymore but out in the open). You can usually see planes flying low, as they are trying to land at Lunken Airport just across the river. Whether walking, running, or biking, I have felt very safe on this trail. I keep my cell phone close at all times, but I have never felt uncomfortable. Know that you may be the only one on the bike trail in certain areas. If you do you not prefer that, you may want to stick near the areas that have parking lots attached to the trail. These areas would be Loveland and Milford and Newtown. It is definitely one of my favorite parts of my town. My life would be so much different without this beautiful Bike Trail!

Take off that leash and let 'em run!…read more This is a great, and big, park for your dogs. They have three, or four, separate enclosures for the dogs to run. They're also categorized by the size of your dog or they have the big open section for any dogs. There are some obstacle type fixtures for the dogs to climb on and a few trees here and there for them to sniff around. There aren't many seating areas, but there are some and there are some covered seating areas as well for dog humans to sit and watch their furry friends running around and making new friends. It's a bit of a winding road to get there, but follow the signs and you'll find it. It's nice and quiet and your dogs are surely to have a good time. A few notes: - Occasionally they block out sections to allow the grass to grow. This is great and ensures there's always some nice green grassy areas to let your pups run. They take very good care of the grounds as well. - They have double entrances so you can reduce the chances of a breakout. - Keep your dog on a leash until you get into an actual enclosure. It doesn't matter if your perfect dog would never run. Others may. Also, don't be so sure that your perfectly trained pooch won't make a dash for a new excited friend they've never met. That overstimulation can be unpredictable when around a group of other dogs. - They have some drinking fountains for dogs as well. Bring your own bowl if you want to reduce any disease transmissions. - There are poop-bags available and garbage cans for your full bags. Your dog will poop. It's that simply. Bring your own bags if you have them. If you don't, there should be some there. - Clean up after your dog! I shouldn't have to explain this but you need to remember, dogs are running around here and so are their humans. Sure, you may miss one here or there, but for the sake of everyone else, try to clean up after your dog. If you're too good to do that, stay home. It prevents a mess as well as diseases. - If your dog doesn't play well with others, stay home or leave. We literally were coming in once and some people who were already there had a bit of a rambunctious dog. The dogs owner said, "you might want to be careful...he doesn't do well with other dogs". I looked at that as someone who is fatally lactose intolerant walking into an ice cream shop. Don't be ridiculous. This is a public dog park. If Cujo doesn't play well with others, YOU find somewhere else to go. Wiggly Field is free. Let's keep it that way. Take care of this gem and it will take care of your four legged little buddies. Would I go back? Yes. We go here as often as possible. Our little one loves it. She doesn't get to be around too many dogs so this is always a good time.
