They also have water for dogs, benches to sit on, a picnic table to eat at, and a gorgeous huge ancient oak tree that my dog climbed up, impressing another dog owner. There are plenty of poop bags and garbage cans to dispose of your dogs' poop. Some owners didn't pick up their dog's poop but that is the owners' fault. I picked mine's up. My dog had so much fun running around with me, I had brought a toy. Since it was a wet cooler (but warm for the month) weekday midday we were alone for a while then joined by a sweet lady bulldog. When a small beagle came in, it chased my dog around and when another sleek fast dog joined the beagle in chasing my dog, the beejesus was scared out of my dog. I sat on the bench and my 70-lb pitbull jumped in my lap for protection from the dogs.

My lab collie mix used to be a regular at this dog park, as we would bring her at least 2 times a…read moreweek. She never had any issues at all and all the other dogs seemed to love her and want to play with her. We took her in April and she got attacked by all of the other 14 dogs that were there, tried to hide behind a man sitting against the fence to get away from the other dogs. She had to get 4 stitches in her neck from another dog biting her. None of the other owners seemed to have any issue with what happened when all of these dogs came after mine for no reason at all. Tried to take her back in June. It went a little bit better until a woman with 2 dogs showed up and both of them went after my dog. We left before it got bad, but that woman had nothing to say about the way her dogs were acting. Lots of unaltered and aggressive dogs with seemingly irresponsible owners. Definitely wouldn't recommend going here unless you want to deal with a stressful situation every time you take your dog to the park.

We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and there were good number of young families enjoying the space with us. The playground is fenced in and relatively small. Its main feature is a castle ruin that showcases climbing and sliding. It has an elevated turf for children to climb up and down. There is also a modern aspect to the playground with sandbox, swing set, and musical toy. Also worth noting is there are bathrooms nearby. I cannot comment on the cleanliness since we did not have to use it but it is convenient and an important factor for young families.

The park boasts multiple water play features, giant swings, an interactive foot piano, an imaginative play area for kids, expansive pollinator gardens, and Carol Ann's Carousel. Several historical monuments can be found like the Black Brigade Monument and the recently dedicated Marian Spencer Statue. I was on a roadtrip and my family dropped me off in downtown Cincinnati and I gravitated to Smale Riverfront Park because I wanted a place to explore nature and see river views. I explored the scenic walkways along the Ohio, flower gardens, fountains, public art, picnic spots, and plenty of space to just chill. One of my favorite features were the riverfront swings, big, bench-style swings tucked along the water that are perfect for kicking back and enjoying the view. They're surprisingly comfortable and such a great spot to unwind and reconnect with your inner child. The park has amazing views of the Roebling Suspension Bridge and Ohio River are worth the visit on their own, the paths are wide and great for families, and there's lots to explore without feeling overcrowded. There are splash zones for kids, places to sit and picnic, and tons of photo ops.

This is easily one of the best playgrounds that we have ever visited. It is interactive and…read moreimmersive with several zones. One zone consists of two small adorable playhouses meant for young crawlers and toddlers. Right next to that is a musical instrument section, balance walk, and a huge colorful maze with textured walls. Towards the back is a play area with a turf hill and 14-foot mega tower with plenty of opportunities to slide and climb. There are tube, flat bed, and curved slides. The tower can appear intimidating but my 3.5 and 5 year old girls fearlessly climbed the ladder to access the tower and came down the tube slides without issue. Surrounding the tower are several climbing structures. One consists of faux tree logs and another resembles the back of a bear. Another major feature is the zip line. My 5 year old was super excited and went on it several times.
