Between the injuries, treatments, procedures, medical bills, uncertainty about the case, and just wanting to finally put the accident behind me, there were definitely some stressful and frustrating moments along the way. One thing I can say, though, is that I always felt like I had someone in my corner. I started out working with Jonathan Holtz, who was excellent and always took the time to answer my questions and explain what was happening. Over the course of a case this long I had a few different attorneys represent me as things progressed through litigation, with Scott Bonavita ultimately handling the case toward the end. Scott was great to work with and I really appreciated how straightforward he was with me. He gave me his actual opinion about the case, the risks of continuing toward trial, and when he thought it made sense to settle rather than just telling me what I wanted to hear. Glen Levine also personally stepped in at different points when I needed help, which meant a lot and wasn't something I expected from one of the firm's partners. In the end, they got me a settlement I was very happy with, and then continued working for me by negotiating my outstanding medical bills and liens down significantly, which made a big difference in what I actually walked away with. I also have to give a special shoutout to Jamie Winninger. She was awesome.
