This is like Fresh Market, but in NC :). Honestly, it's priced very high. I bought the asparagus on sale (it was at the end of its life but it was cheap), a huge apple cranberry pie on sale (it was very good!!), and some bread they promise is baked fresh daily. Well, that loaf certainly wasn't baked that day. It was dry. The shriveled pomegranates were almost $3 each... compare to ALDI 1.89 and they seemed fresher. Upsides -- The staff was amiable and the place is clean and more interesting than ALDI, for sure! It has a bit more variety and world cuisine than a standard grocery store (like tahini). Still, I won't go back unless I need something out of the ordinary (that I can't get at ALDI or Food Lion). read more

Can't get over how old and dirty this Lowes is. Very outdated and beat up looking. Went into the ladies room and wished I could have walked out. Filthy. Very kicked in and dated. The handicap stall was a nightmare with number one and two on the floor. So disappointed to see Lowes put their name on this store, it's flat out gross. read more

Very thankful to find this well run grocery store near downtown Mount Airy during our recent family trip to the yearly Autumn Leaves Festival. It is very clean throughout and offered excellent meat, produce, and deli departments. Was especially impressed by the bakeries fresh bread selections. Prices were very reasonable and employees, in particular our cashier Dakota, were all extremely helpful and nice as you would expect in Mount Airy. Will definitely return a couple more times before we depart. read more

We were pleasantly surprised to find this well stocked grocery market on our way into the mountains of Virginia. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. The selection of organic and unprocessed food was impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and just plain nice. We will make this a regular as we pass through the Mr. Airy neighborhood. It was a few miles off of the interstate (77 North) , but well worth the drive. What a nice change from the local Walmart/ food chain stores ! read more

We're new to the area and this is our favorite grocery location by far. Very clean, polite staff and quick pick up. With kids it's easier for us to plan ahead and pick up our groceries so we order online. The only thing I noticed after ordering online a few times is you just have to pay attention to the dates because logically they're trying to get the older stuff off the shelf first. (The first time we ordered we got home and my husband put all the meat in the fridge and a few things went bad, it could've been avoided if we'd put some of them in the freezer.) read more

Great store for double coupons but beware of the produce! Stopped shopping there after we found flies in a case of monster energy drink and worms in a sealed bag of lettuce on one shopping trip. Great staff and customer service, but poor food makes this a one star review. read more

Nicest grocery in the county. They still have a butcher's counter which is quite nice. You are likely going to pay more of a premium to shop there but not as bad as whole foods read more
