Surplus City is like Ollies, but a little broader and more idiosyncratic, if that is possible. They reminded me a bit of Building 19, but not as wild as Spags. Makers would find lots of hardware and materials to use. Prices were low enough you might try something to see if it works as a craft, hobby, or repair. To Mary: Most of what you suggested is correct (stay distant, don't touch your face, I would add in particular, your mucous membranes). Nearly any people who have been told by medical staff not to obstruct their own breathing should not be out and about. See the CDC web site. I fear that you misunderstand the medical and healthcare advice out there. I find that I am better informed when I follow the CDC, WHO, and PA public health rather than other sources. "If you think wearing a mask is going to stop a nano-sized virus you are kidding yourself". Technically, you are true, most masks do not stop 100% of viruses. On the other hand, if you mean that masks will not stop this pandemic, I believe you are incorrect. The CDC, PA Dept of Health, all the professors at Penn State Hershey, and Penn State Biology, and all the MD, PhD, RN/PhD, and MD/PhD that I talk to believe that masks can stop this pandemic if enough people use them. For your sake, and for ours, so we can get back to work and play, wear a mask to protect yourself (they are not perfect, but help a lot) and help others in case you are asymptomatic. Also, the virus is not nano-sized, but micro-sized. Nano is down by the molecule level, the molecular weight of this virus is not high, but does appear to be caught in significant amounts by most masks as it is thousands of molecules (see: https://nanohydroponicscom.files.wordpress.com/2016/05/nano-size-range.jpg?w=882), and Dr. Google. The science and engineering of how masks work relies on college EM physics. google for details. I suspect the electro statics also catch nanoparticles, and Dr. Google concurs.

He said the guy he asked for help just waved down there and apparently didn't have the time or care to help him locate the bolt he needed. If that wasn't bad enough when he found it himself and came up to the register to get checked out apparently he told my husband "Go down there!" Pointing to another girl and when she didn't know the price the guys said to my husband "Well! What was the price??" That was it my husband was so pissed that he just left. He couldn't believe how rude and useless this guy was and told him "thanks for all of your great customer service!!" With that out of the way, let's talk about this experience. I had been looking for a specific item for the past few weeks. You know how you get an item in your head, you know it exists, but you just cannot find it anywhere you look. That was me recently. I knew what I wanted/needed, but could not for the life of me locate it anywhere. With my head hanging low, I entered this facility. Walking in here is like walking into a different world, craft world that is. This is like a mega store for crafting needs. I mean, how in the world are there that many crafting supplies that you need this big of a layout? Having never been in one of these before and not knowing where anything might be located I started wandering. And wander I did. My first line of attack was just to walk the center aisle and glance down every aisle as I passed. That did not work, this place is like a maze without a map. At one point I felt like I was Pac-Man chasing the ghosts, only the ghosts were associates that were working here. Each time I saw one they would run away like I had eaten the big pellet. So much for getting help here to ask where an item might be. My next line of attack, and this took forever, was to go up and down each and every aisle until I found my item. Did it work, yes, did it take forever, definitely, did I have any assistance, no. Having found my one item I ended up making a b-line to where I thought the front of the store was. I stood in line to wait my turn to pay and started noticing the Christianity closing in on me, that and the basic signs on the walls. The one and only time I had an interaction with an associate in here was at the cash register. It was as if the employee was brainwashed and on autopilot. No affect or personality. As soon as I got outside I had to light up a cigarette like I had just survived something dubious.
