Visited the Baytown store this morning and as we walked in we noticed two young men greeting the customers and asking them if they need assistance. My husband asked them to look for a product sku#. They stopped immediately and greeted us as well. The store didn't have the item in stock in which we needed, but I had to stop and give a review on the excellent customer service. I am an avid LOWES customer and have spent thousands of dollars of materials through this store including multiple home projects through the PRO center. To Management m: It has become a serious disappointment to go to Lowes on the weekends due to low staff availability to get items that are locked or too high or just waiting on paint counter or in appliances or lumber section to use the saw. As a Veteran and supporter of Lowes Im loosing faith in your senior management to properly staff your store as a customer. You have all these areas of your store that REQUIRE an attendant and they are not available. Today I waited over 10 min at the thermostat section aisle 12 and had to go to the PRO section counter to ask to page someone TWICE! A lady came in from outside saying she was still waiting and the lady said "Oh no one came. Let me page thrm again." Then when Xavier started walking over my way, there were 4 other customers that were also needing help & got to him before he made it to me. And more were heading his direction since no one was on the floor. So I went to find a manager which paged AGAIN. Management- It's unacceptable to wait 30 min for help at your store! I like Lowes and generally find them to be superior to Home Depot in many ways, but after the experiences I have had over the last six months, I have become very disappointed with Lowes, especially the Baytown store. The most recent incident happened today when I placed an online same day pickup order. Admittedly the order was large. Eighteen different products, 42 items in total. I placed the order just before noon with the expectation that it would be ready in two to four hours. At 652PM I tried calling the store to see if the order was going to be filled today. After fighting with the phone system I got transferred to Customer Service, but after the phone rang for about a minute, it hit me with an error tone. Four times over four different calls no one answered. With the store closing at 8PM I decided that I had waited long enough, so I canceled the online order and just drove to the store. I was able to pick up everything I needed in about 25 minutes. When I got to the register I found that the gift cards I had used to place my original online order were no longer working. The store was closing in five minutes so I went to the Customer Service desk where there was a line with four people in front of me, and only one employee working the desk. I waited in line for about ten minutes before I gave up, left my cart, and went home. I knew I was too frustrated to have a productive conversation with the employee, and I did not want to cause a scene. I really like what Lowes does. They offer comparable products to Home Depot at slightly higher prices, but with a better store experience. The military discount is a great perk, and I love that I can place an order online and still get the discount. With the discount, Lowes is generally 1-3% cheaper than Home Depot, plus most of the employees are very nice and helpful. At the end of the day however, the execution is lacking. This is not the first time the online ordering system has left me high and dry. In November 2020 my account was flagged by Lowes corporate loss prevention for some reason and orders I placed were canceled as soon as I placed them with no explanation. Multiple calls to corporate customer service did not resolve the issue, so I went to the store and (after 20 minutes of waiting) spoke to the manager on duty about what happened. I asked for a call back from management to explain what was going on. I never received that. My orders were no longer canceled so I let it go. On March 20, 2021 I had an order that was also not fulfilled in a timely manner at the Baytown store. I brought some items to return and let the employee know that I had an online order I was waiting for. She claimed that she would call someone but never actually did and left for a break immediately after. After spending ten minutes at the customer service desk I walked out onto the sales floor, picked up the item I had ordered, went to the customer service desk, wrote down my order number for the employee, and walked out of the store. I have spent over $10,000 at Lowes across over 100 transactions during the last two years, which, as a former retail employee I know really doesn't hold much weight in a customer complaint, but it illustrates how often I patronize the store. While I love the systems and processes Lowes has, the execution is sorely lacking at the Baytown store. I spent almost a decade working in retail and would have NEVER tolerated this type of customer experience in my stores. I am extremely disappointed in what has happened over the last six months. I have defended Lowes against multiple family members in the construction industry who swear by Home Depot because I used to experience great service, but now I see their point. The response I receive from this will decide what my next steps are, because at this point, I am fed up. read more

Never order a large appliance from Lowes: any Lowe's, online or in store. Just save yourself the trouble and avoid this store like the plague. There is a reason the reviews are so low. I ordered online and I got stuck with this store as my store despite there being two closer stores. They use XPO for delivery which does not let you choose a delivery time. XPO did not show up with my first delivery and ended up loosing the $5k order. When I called Lowe's they said my order showed it was delivered so what was the problem? After spending 4 days on the phone getting hung up on by people at this Lowe's store and never getting called back as promised. I had to drive 40 minutes out of the way to this store. After half an hour or paging a manager one finally showed up. They said they didn't know where my appliances were at and I would have to reorder my appliances which were now back ordered. I left the store angry because I had a deadline for getting the appliances and delivery wasn't for another two weeks but at least it would be resolved right? Haha, yeah right! The manager that reordered my appliances entered the wrong address! My online receipt has the correct address the reorder receipt doesn't list an address so two weeks go by before I get an automated call from XPO the night before telling me the wrong address. We frantically called the store, who was rude to my wife and accused her of not confirming the address when it was the manager's incompetence... The store told us to call the warehouse that they could not help us. I called the warehouse and they said they had the correct address. I called XPO and they said they would update the delivery. The next day I stayed home from work for a second day to wait on my delivery. My delivery window came and passed so I called XPO (for like the 10th time in this saga). XPO told me my delivery window had changed! Changed!! That is right, they will not let you choose a time you have you appliance delivered and if they want they will just change the window on the delivery day without calling!! In a later conversation, Tiffany G from XPO confirmed that this is a thing that XPO does, shift delivery windows to deceive customers into thinking that their deliveries are on time! I eventually got a call from a driver who told me the new address (correct address) was too far outside of their range so my appliances would not be delivered. I spent the rest of the day being ignored by Lowe's "customer service" who would promise a call back that I never got and yelling and increasingly incompetent XPO agents. Finally, my order appears to have been rescheduled for today. I say that because I got an automated call telling me. No actual human has talked to me about that. When I spoke with XPO about the reschedule, I told them I would not be available for part of today. Guess when they scheduled my delivery! Yep, right in the middle of when I will not be available! They really expect me to stay home for a third day! When I called XPO they told me that the store had to reschedule (the previous XPO agent did reschedule so that was a lie). After refusing to call the store the agent tried to call customer service and could not get through after multiple tries (why I had to drive to the store). So... when will I get my delivery? I don't know. No one from Lowe's cares. XPO is full of incompetent morons. That's where I am at. I have cabinets being built and if I have to change my order or I can get appliances at the same dimensions it's going to cost me a lot. Today is June 19th. My original delivery date was June 5th. We are two weeks in and there are not enough brain cells between the employees at these two companies to make this happen. read more

I like Lowe's because items seem to be a bit more accessible than at Home Depot. However, Home Depot employees seem to know where EVERYTHING is. Sometimes is can be a bit difficult to flag down a Lowe's employee. Someone also told me that the plants seem to have a longer longevity than at other stores. Someone also told me that they have some sort of a guarantee on the life of their plants, and if they die, one can return them on a certain day to and have them replaced. Was on an Air Purifier mission, but this Lowes only carries Idylus which are good, but don't last very long had them few years ago and they made noise after few months. This is a new Lowes, very clean parking lot when I was there, helpful staff, huge store, great garden section, good layout, etc.. normal hardware lowes. Hum so fuck it I left and went to home depot. Got my carpet and my installation fees within minutes. Waited 45 min for a pallet of tile to be brought to pro services for me only to walk back and see it wasn't even moved at all. Dealt with 3 different sets of people and was blown off by all three sets. I would recommend going to either Home Depot or at least a different Lowe's . We had a leak in our kitchen and needed to replace all the cabinets. Lowe's had a good selection of high quality cabinets to choose from and we thought, being a large chain, we would get good service. The project started in July, it is now November and we are STILL waiting to get our kitchen finished. They have ordered the wrong item or sent defective or damaged pieces at LEAST six times (we've lost count). The cabinets are beautiful but sadly the service is not. Run! I would give them a -5 raiting if I could I purchased a hustler zero turn mower, it came with a 3yr manufacturer's warranty, l also purchased a 3yr extended protection plan offered by Lowes. Their sales associates told me & their website clearly states 5 times that it "begins after the manufacturer's warranty expires." Now they're trying to claim their warranty runs in tandem with the manufacturer's. 5 months ago on 4/29 I filed a warranty claim (they've had it ever since) they've said it was repaired 4 times & tried to send it back to me, I've refused to accept it because it still wasn't working properly each time. The last time they broke the plastic fender ($91) when they strapped it to a pallet for delivery, they placed the banding across one of the only plastic pieces on the otherwise all metal mower, now they're trying to say they won't replace it because it "could have been broken before" (I took photos of the strap cranked down on the fender causing the crack). read more

Recently I purchased french doors with the mini-blinds inside the glass and I couldn't be happier with the doors, the install and all around helpfulness of the staff at Lowe's. I went in store to buy a dryer on June 15. They did not have the dryer in stock that day so an employee named Jonathan said he could order the dryer and have it shipped to the store. We opted to picked it up from the store vs having it delivered. We paid for the dryer that night and was told by Jonathan the dryer would be here by June 22 and that someone would call us when it was ready for pick up. June 24 I call Lowe's because I had not heard anything. They said that the dryer was not in. Over the next two weeks I called a total of five times and each time they said the dryer was not in. July 3 I called and spoke to Jonathan. He said he didn't know where the dryer was and would go look for it and give me a call back. Six hours go by and I call and talk to the store manager, it takes her five minutes and a conversation with Jonathan to figure out that the dryer was never ordered by him that night, that we PAID for the dryer. I had a kitchen nightmare from hell. Ordered cabinets and got the complete tear out and installation. Tear out left the wood from under the granite behind. Lowes ordered wrong cabinet. kitchen will not be completed in a month. Plumber came not installing my dishwasher. Won't drill a hole to plug in disposal. granite guys took FOREVER. I have never had such a horrible experience! I ordered two appliances online on 11/18/16. I got a call promptly after stating both appliances were not in stock and I would be called back to set up delivery date. A week later I still hadn't heard anything so I called and store employee says i will call you back with that information. I never got a call back. I called corporate who tried to joke with me as I was extremely frustrated,which just made it worse. They said in 3 days we will have your appliances and you will receive a call to set up the delivery date. I finally got a call from delivery service late at night stating my delivery was the next day! Now this morning I received another cal from store employee who states my appliances are on back order and I would be receiving them in 4 weeks!! I called and cancelled my order for sure!
