Asked the lady behind the counter I was checking to see if they had full ones in stock because I was trying to pay for an exchange. 1st Carlsbad is completely out of Camping Propane cylinders, Lowe's App shows 143 tanks in-stock. So I go to Lowe's, get there and can't find Isle 60, neither can the employees. Customer service tells me to go to the register, the cashier ask the manager who seems to be walking around aimlessly. She says they can't find those bottles and the app is wrong. So they know the bottles are not at the location but they don't change the app, so people have to ask repeatedly where Isle 60 is on arrival? So I ask about rentals, they have rental bottles. I purchase a rental and manager says the dude is out there, I go outside and no one is there. I go ask again the same manager says Rolando...maybe is already out there. Again no one there, so waiting out here for 10min still no propane key guy!! OK, 3rd time I go ask customer service. They will send the guy out they say....still waiting! I recently had ceramic tile flooring installed throughout the majority of my home. Understand I've been a great Lowes customer for several years & this is the first installation I've had done (family recommended) - I won't have another. There is no customer satisfaction, there is no post installation inspection from Lowes to ensure you got the quality installation you pay dearly for. My "crew" came from Texas & consisted of an older man who spoke minimal English & his 2 teenage sons who had a little bigger English vocabulary. My livingroom floor is georgous as is my dining room & halls (3) however, where the tile met the carpet in the bedrooms & 1 closet the tile was laid for the thresh-hold & my carpet was DESTROYED in all 3 rooms. They can't be fixed. Numerous phone calls to the Service Pros (they schedule the installations from available contractors) & to the Lowes flooring manager - lots of run around & no attempt at resolution. In addition to the destroyed carpet, there was grouting on my walls, incorrectly cut floor molding & staples sticking out, & messes left in several areas. I'm a senior citizen & not in the best of health & Its really sad that customers are treated this way - don't count on Lowes or their installation guarantee. read more

This particular Lowe's has continued to prove itself poorly managed and yesterday we learned they do business with contractors who price gouge. We bought a new water heater and went to the desk to set up an install. They wanted a thousand dollars for an install. ONE. THOUSAND. DOLLARS. To install a water heater. People, don't fall for it. We found a different business who's charging us $125 for the install (which is fair). I have no idea why Lowe's thinks $1,000 is fair for a water heater install--Lowe's, who can afford that?!? That charge is disgraceful and not an industry standard. You should be ashamed of yourselves for not thinking about your customers and engaging in price gouging. Absolutely shameful. And the employees reading the charge on their computer screen had no idea it was seriously inflated (another issue, the employees there tend not to know where or what things are). Worst Lowe's I've ever been to. And they don't care because the lot of Carlsbad HAS to go there so there will always be paying customers for them to abuse (and get away with). read more

Wow went online to get phone number for local Lowes,took me to yelp and I noticed a 1 star rating to my surprise. Got number and called nothing no matter which department I tried no one answered. Finally called number for local outside pickup and ask for a manager she said she was a manager I complained a our no one answering she apologized I needed an electric fence charger so she had (me) go online to look it up while on the phone lol then I found which one I wanted and told her she then says they don't Cary any of them I'd have to order online myself long story short wasted about 30 minutes then tried to call corporate guess what they don't answer either so off to tractor supply I go. read more

I honestly do not know how this place keeps its doors open. Always groups of employees standing around talking, and you have to interrupt to ask for help. They never have online orders ready, and the whole place gives off the "I don't care" vibe. If there were another real alternative in Carlsbad, I'd go there for sure. read more

I haven't seen my wife so mad since Trump won the primary. We parked by the garden center, loaded a thousand pounds of block and garden supplies, and got in line behind four other groups. A customer service gal came out and closed the gate, and told all the folks in line they would have to go to the registers inside. Nice. We pushed that monster through the store, and stood in line at the only open cashier for 15 minutes while three customer service gals stood by the entrance doors. The poor cashier couldn't identify the block since it didn't have tags, even using the app. Meanwhile, the line grew to twenty two folks (we counted) before a cashier was added. We had them cancel our order while I went back out and got the tag number off the shelf out of courtesy to the cashier and the other customers. Instead of taking us back into the front of the line we had to go back through the entire line. Fifty two minutes to check out. I went back into the store to suggest to the customer service folks that they had unnecessarily made a LOT of folks angry, and that perhaps they should send someone out early to close the garden center, that they should check out folks already in line, that they should announce that the garden center would be closing at 5:00 pm (why?) on the PA system, that they should never let the register lines get over four carts long, and that everyone should be able to look up any item price. I got exactly one sentence into my mini-rant when the "customer service" person turned away to chatter with the other girl at the counter. I walked away. When the garden center closed in our face, I suggested to my wife that we just leave the stuff and let them restock it. She wishes now that we had. Shoot, she's so steamed she may just go back and load carts and leave them randomly about the store. Nah, our time is worth something. Maybe Loews Carlsbad should figure that out. read more

They were supposed to deliver my stove on Thursday but never did, they kept moving the delivery date I will never order from them again

I first went on line to see the in stock lumber at Carlsbad Lowes then went to the store with my list of materials for a portable tiny home. Once arriving I was greeting by Sonia, a Lowes Pros Specialist member, who talked me into opening a Lowes Pro account and credit card telling me I would get better service better prices 20% off first order and free delivery next day on my order So I went ahead and did as she suggested so I would receive the benefits. After more then 6 tiring and frustrating hrs with Sonia and changing the building design 3 times because they didnt have the lumber needed for my Tiny Home and dealing with the very slow and very incompetent Lowes Pro Specialist that was completely clueless and inexperienced through out the whole process of absolutely everything, I finally left with the promise that it would all be delivered early next day, and that my discounts would show in my account online. Next day part of order came, called store, asking for rest of order, and told they would deliver soon, also I was told they were not going to be able to provide the subflooring I ordered. Well this went on each day for three days with me making many phone calls and then they show up Friday at end of day with delivery. This very late delivery making it impossible for me to meet deadline promised for job and caused me to lose the job for the TIny Home costing me Big $$$. Then to top it off I look online and no 20% discount and I was charged for delivery. So the incompetence of Carlsbad Lowes once again has proven to be very tiring, and costly. So close to a thousand in discounts that were promised and never received, all my time invested, the $$$ loss from not being able to do the job in time promised and of course absolutely no care or remorse from Carlsbad Lowes. So now I will be spending another day of my time to load all materials on a trailer and return to lowes. For future jobs I will travel out of town to a home depot or other store. Lowes in Carlsbad NM is the absolute worse building supply I have ever been to in almost 50 yrs of construction. Save yourself a lot of time and drive couple hrs to another town and shop at home depot where the staff are more competent. read more

I'm a contractor and I needed to place an order through the pro desk. I've never had so much difficulty placing a special order. Living out of town I called and left messages for 2 weeks and no reply. Finally I went in person to attempt to get order put together. I was handed off from manager to manager until finally I was placed with someone in charge of ordering. But he was in receiving all morning. So I returned after lunch and was able to tell him what I needed. He said he would get the order put together but was never able to get around to it. He later went into a management meeting until 3 so the day was shot. I sat for 8 hours and got nothing accomplished. I left messages for another 2 weeks as he promised to get the order placed yet somehow never was able to get it done! I finally went to Home Depot in Hobbs and my order was placed within an hour! read more

I ordered a refrigerator on the 1st of July. Was told it would be delivered on the 12th, which is a Friday. The day of delivery, the phone call came that our address was on the delivery schedule but they had no refrigerator and that it had been lost. We contacted the home store where it was purchased. We had a hard time getting a manager to speak to us via phone. We were put on hold for 45 minutes where we had to hang up. After hours of being put on hold, we even had an employee say, "If you want to come look for the manager yourself, you can if you want". We called corporate!! We were told by corporate that it was unacceptable. They said that our particular store was having a hard time with deliveries. They placed the complaint for us, with 24 hour follow up guaranteed. Someone contacted us the following day. They promised that they would give us a 20% discount for our trouble and said they had to find another refrigerator from another store. They said they found one for us and said it would be delivered within 3/4 days. This was on Saturday, the 13th. I called the store on the 19th, still no refrigerator!! Then I was told it would be delivered on Thursday, the 25th. When I told my mom, she said they told her Sunday, the 28th. Which brings me to today. I contacted my Lowe's store this morning around 9:00am, they told me the truck had my order and they wouldn't be coming back to the store until it was all delivered. I called the store again around 5pm. They took my number and name. I waited All day, went by the store this evening for me to be told they don't deliver on Sundays. I'm very frustrated with the lack of customer service or concern that a product they have already charged a customer has yet to be delivered and keeps getting lost. You would think this refrigerator had a mind of its own since it keeps losing itself. There is no one who claims responsibility and keeps getting passed from one manager to another. I am VERY unsatisfied and hope this review warns people NOT to purchase appliances from this store if they want it on time. I didn't even want to post 1 star! read more
