Back in the day (30+ years ago) Bridgeport Ace when still in the old building would have had just a bit better selection and been the go to, but Sandy's is still there and still old school in 2026. I did not get my eye exam from them. I got my eye exam from the EYE DOCTOR in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The prescription I got from them I went to EYEMART EXPRESS with. When I first had my glasses made which were progressives, I had a problem with reading fine print. I went back to the EYE DOCTOR and got another exam. And then EYE MART EXPRESS made the second Pair of glasses. I still had a problem with the glasses. It wasn't EYE MART EXPRESS. something about the exam I got from the EYE DOCTOR just wasn't right. Anyway, that's a whole other review. Since then, I've gotten another eye exam and I'm much happier with my new glasses. But back to the glasses, I am reviewing and this business. I had a warranty on the glasses, and since it was less than a year I went back in there, and I had a new pair of glasses made no questions asked. Glasses are pretty expensive and so I'm glad I didn't have to spend a bunch of money on getting a new pair.

Prices are a little more than reasonable, but decent for what you get out of it. The one employee that was in the store didn't seem all that busy (we were the only shoppers in the store in the 20 minutes we perused the stores interior), but was anticipating our arrival at her register for checkout (except at one point when she went around picking up dropped items). I mean, it's more a question of me being just..."me" than it is the products themselves; I was out of my element to come into a store like yours...and nothing more.
