I always have some project going on so I am here every week. Most of the staff are helpful and actually ask you if you need help. One of the things I hate about Home Depot is that you can NEVER FIND staff to help. Anyway, at Lowes you can get help when needed. They are dog friendly so I take my 3 wiener dogs on every visit. I also use the Lowes app which is user friendly. You can create your profile and automatically add your military discount, etc to your profile. Make sure you check the app because you earn rewards based on your purchases. You can use the app to apply the reward and bill your credit card. The app also has a search feature so you can find the exact aisle and bin location. It works great! read more

I have bought many appliances from them over the years. I recently bought a $2000 frig. It was defective from the manufacturer and they were not going to honor it because it was over 48 hours since the purchase. The door wouldn't stay shut and we had to prop a bar stool up against it. I purchased a ladder as a Christmas gift for my son. He wanted to upgrade for a different one so I printed my receipt for him to return at store in ft worth. They would not let him exchange or have gift card. Only refunded my credit card. Will not get better ladder or anything from Lowe's again. read more

I bought a box of large bolts that cost over a dollar apiece. Most of them were incorrectly threaded. The customer service people wouldn't refund my money because some of the bolts were "used" (I had attempted to thread nuts onto most of them). They were rude about it, too. Poor quality merchandise and poor quality customer service. Great combination. read more

This Lowe's has to be among the worst in the chain. We ordered a stove, dishwasher, and microwave that had a guaranteed delivery date of 6/3/23. Not having heard anything by that date I went to see what the status was at the time. I wound up dealing with George, an assistant manager..it is beyond me how he advanced that far as he was condescending, unhelpful, and would do nothing to live up to the commitments made by his store. He informed me that he would do nothing to get me my items as promised. I had rearranged my travel to be present for the delivery and he didn't care. He informed me my items would be delivered a week later, when I would not be in town. DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR CRITICAL BIG TICKET ITEMS. GO TO HOME DEPOT IN SHERMAN. Here I go, starting from day one, March 11, 2022, we purchase a washer and dryer. We took the washer, and they ordered the dryer. Delivery date was set for March 19th, 2022. They called said it would not be delivered on the 19th. I called they said changed to the 20th. I thought it's Sunday there's no way, but I'll call Sunday if they don't show. Sure, enough they didn't deliver on Sunday the 20th. They said it was at the store in Durant OK. Called Durant store they said it's marked as a pickup. I said no it's a delivery. Finally delivered Monday 21st. IT'S the wrong dryer. We ordered a propane dryer, and they sent a gas. I've called many times and I can't get any help at the Durant store. Not even the store manager will help resolve our problem. read more

Trey W manager at lowes in Durant Ok, very unprofessional. Have been trying to get our Refrigerator delivered since last Saturday 11/12/2022 did not happen. They did not call we had to call them. Rescheduled for Wednesday 11/16/2022 even received confirmation. At 6:30pm called them to see we're frig was at, low and behold was not loaded. They tried to reschedule for Monday 11/21/2022 I said tomorrow morning or I will call Corporate. why doesn't corporate do something about this store. The Manager even hung up on me. No curse words just agitated that they cannot fulfill their end of the agreement. Does no-one even care at this store? What a joke. I will call Corporate but I am sure no-one will be written up for this. I've been to many Lowes stores over the years and by far this has been the worst store ever. I have spent over $24,000 on home improvements using the Lowe's in Durant. Then I purchased a Generator that blew up and all they would do is replace it with a less expensive and different kind of Generator. I figured it was better than nothing. Recently I purchased a John Deer Riding Lawn Mower and a Grass Catcher. The Lawn Mower has been and is again in the Shop for a continuous (SAME) problem over and over. It has been in the shop more than at my house. I think it is time for them to call this crapp as it is.. A LEMON and either refund my money or replace it with another mower. The Manager says they have not had any problems with this mower. Well the John Deer company here in Durant says they have six (6) of them to work on with the same repeat problem. Go Figure. Well, I've been repeatedly disappointed in the service from this particular Lowes for the past year & my visit today held another example of bad service. After waiting in line for about 3-5 minutes to checkout using one of the 2 outdoor cashiers, the cashier opted to send us to the other LINE to wait for the other cashier so that she could restock the soda cooler. While I feel you should never elect to perform maintenance over customer service, had this been her plan all along she should have at least alerted us to the plan when we got in line behind her last customer. This is truly one of a series of customer service fails from this location. We had to have the blind installation person out to our home multiple times because the store failed to order the correct items, failed to charge us correctly & called us repeatedly to come back into the store to attempt to fix their mistake. I'm not going to even venture a guess at the number of times we've been in the store, needing help & had to go looking for an associate, only to find anyone on the floor was talking on their cell phones - that's when you can even find an associate on the floor. It would make sense that I would quit coming here. I actually do try to avoid this location, but given that local places often close early & the other nearest Lowes or Home Depot is 30 minutes from my home, my boycott sometimes takes second place to convenience. Really wish the customer service would improve because the selection here is decent & it usually seems fairly clean & well stocked. read more

I purchased 4 large trees worth $129 each last week and ask the store to hold them for me until I was able to pick them up, the checkout person neglected to add that it was an item to be picked up later, when I went next day to service center to pick up my trees the person had no clue what to do so I left to come back another day for pickup. Luckily, I ran into the man that helped me with the trees on day of purchase and was able to get my trees. I went to this Lowes again today and purchased 3 more large trees worth $59 each for me to pick up in 30 minutes, this time they did add that to my receipt. I arrived less than 30 minutes later at the store and presented my receipt at the service desk then walked out to get my trees, but they weren't there, apparently someone else also purchased them after me. The manager never attempted to even help make this right. I am in the process of building a house and already have several estimates for building material, kitchen with Quartz countertops, doors, windows etc. picked out at this Lowes with total so far $110,000 but since this incident happened, I question using this Lowes due to their incompetence and feel safer using another store. read more

I purchased a keyed entry door knob set and left it a week ago at the Durant Lowe's to have it keyed. I left my house key, along with my name phone number with customer service. I have driven to the Durant Lowe's twice and have also called. Today, I called to save myself a 45 minute drive. I called 5 times, being disconnected each time. I ended up talking to 4 or five different customer service reps; ended up putting me on terminal hold. Something is terribly wrong. read more

I had the worst experience of customer service last night when we went to Lowe's in Durant and I will NEVER go back. From the cashier basically calling me liar about the phone conversation I had with them prior to me coming in on the delivery fee, to the kids out in the yard arguing with my son about the sheetrock fitting inside our trailer because they did not want to have to load the sheetrock by hand. The one star I gave up top was for ONE employee that was very helpful and honest. The employee even told me that they were saying it wouldn't fit so they would not have to load it for us and the manager was present and did nothing. No apology, no nothing. After spending thousands of dollars in a place you expect some customer service and it was everything but. I am not saying I will never go to Lowes but I am saying I will never go to Lowes in Durant, Oklahoma ever again. read more
