I visited Lowe's in Goose Creek on Saturday to purchase lawn products, including grass and turf builder. The store wasn't particularly busy, which made the lack of customer service in the garden center even more noticeable. As a woman shopping alone and looking for lawn-care products, I expected at least one associate to ask if I needed assistance or recommendations. Unfortunately, no one approached me or seemed available to help. I eventually found what I needed on my own. At self-checkout, my military discount also did not apply even though it was in the system. The gentleman working self-checkout was nice enough to review my receipt, but he couldn't explain why the discount wasn't applied and said it happens frequently. If this is a known issue, Lowe's should determine why it is happening and give employees a way to resolve it for customers. I accomplished what I came for, and the store wasn't crowded, but the overall experience was not very customer-focused. A little more employee presence and engagement in the garden center would make a significant difference, especially for customers who may need guidance selecting the right lawn products. read more

went to Goose Creek Lowe's Saturday and have not been so mad and upset there in quite awhile. plumbing department female refused to assist me to help me find the materials I needed to repair an underground water pipe leak. She was rude!! And very unprofessional!! Didn't care that I needed help and didn't try to assist me!! And other customers were walking away with no assist from her! We needed to get our back deck replaced. We decided on Trex Composite. I paid for all the decking before it was built. The builder reached the last part of the build and realized Lowe's and Trex never sent the hardware for the steps and Banisters. It has been 4 weeks since Lowe's promised to get the hardware needed. They have been giving my builder and myself the runaround. The product was paid for and I still do not have it! A warning to builders and those of you looking to use Lowe's to acquire materials. Customer service has been non existent and my builder will not use them again. I give Lowe's Commercial only 1 star! read more

I want to complement one of the employees at the Lowe's in Goose Creek for going above & beyond to help me out today. Unfortunately I forgot to get her name, but she works near the #29 desk location. I purchased a jug of Eco Smart pesticide on-line a few weeks ago to pick up at this location and it stop spraying. I was unable to get the lid off to fix the problem, so when I called Eco Smart's customer service they told me to take it back to the store. This employee could not get the lid off either, so she took the time to cut the top of the jug, grabbed a funnel and a couple of Lowe's spray bottles and transferred all of the pesticide into these bottles for me. She was amazing and very thoughtful! I tried calling the store to talk to the manager to let them know how awesome she was, but instead I got connected to a foreign guy through an answering service saying that he could not connect me to the store, I have never had an experience where you couldn't talk to someone at the store, weird! They really need to work on their customer service department. You can stand there for 10 mins and still won't get an type of acknowledgment. Overall the prices comparison for Lowes and Home Depot are competitive enough to where sometimes Lowes is better. I love getting my plants from them. The costumer service is what tarnishes them every time and sends me to Home Depot. I bought a new washer and dryer one week ago, 6/8/23. It was delivered 6/9/23, a Friday. I ran the set a couple of times and the washer just did not start randomly. I would go to change to the dryer and the clothes would still be dirty but the detergent had been used...somewhere. I tried to exchange and/or get my money back one week later, 6/16/23. They refused to give me my money back or even exchange the set. They pointed out a 48 hour exchange for major appliances. I really try to like this chain store but more often than naught they really disappoint. Items not priced correctly, inaccessible, some locked in paddocked cages (i.e. power tools, batteries), workers who try help but can't because they don't have the keys unlocked the cages, broken down rental truck, garden centers with dead, dying and dried out plants, long waiting lines. I really like their buy online and pick up in store feature. They have parking spots in the front just for online pickup customers and you get a email in a few hours when it's ready. This saves me from looking around the store and trying to find someone to ask where something is. Today I was in the area and I went to go inside for a 5 gallon bucket of Thompson's tinted water seal for my fence. I'm really glad I didn't buy this online because I checked out their oops paint section and they had a 5 gallon bucket of Olympic fence stain for $20!!!! This saved me $65! The paint guy said someone tinted it and didn't like it so they left it. Works for me! read more

This Lowe's location used to be my favorite, by far, in the Charleston area. Over the past 6 months, however, it has taken a serious decline. I don't know if they are having a hard time finding quality or quantity of employees, but: 1. Often, items are not where they are supposed to be located, which would be okay, if it weren't for... 2. Employees seem to be very sparse and tend to run away from you, instead of looking to help like they used to 3. So many items are locked up, but (see #2) 4. Self-checkout has replaced several registers, which SHOULD make it possible to have more employees on the floor, but (see #2) 5. Generally, the only employees you can find are the MST, and they are quick to inform you that "they don't know" and they aren't customer service. 6. The aisles are very disorganized. Very few items are located at the shelf front they are supposed to be. Hardware department is by far the worst, with Plumbing and Electrical being second and third. Obviously, these departments have a lot of smaller items, but it is like they aren't even trying. The same items are found out of place for many days/weeks. read more

While customer service here is better than other locations it can still be improved. They still are not aligned with the customer service you receive at a Home Depot. For the most part, Lowe's is Lowe's, no matter where you go. This Lowe's is good at keeping items in stock and maintaining clean, orderly facilities. I appreciate the military discount Lowe's gives to active duty members and their families. I have noticed that this particular Lowe's often has super long lines for returns regardless of the time of day or day of the week. Additionally, it is difficult to find someone working in any particular section to help you find items. It seems that this Lowe's needs more employees on the floor and in the customer service/returns area. read more

Love the clearance flowers section. This location gets 2 stars knocked down for customer service issues. It never fails that someone that helps me has a bad attitude. Once, a cashier didn't even speak to me, just grunted. The one cashier I had that was extremely helpful, had to call a manager for coupons I was using and the manager had a bad attitude and was whispering to the cashier that my coupons were fraudulent.. IN FRONT OF ME. I've been chastised by the self-checkout person because "you have to go through a register to use the military discount" and I was afraid she was going to hurt herself putting forth so much effort to ring up my single item at the register she was standing at. Wife and I purchased a dishwasher on April 19th. After paying $900 dollars for a dishwasher, you would expect wonderful customer service and communication; unfortunately we didn't experience any of these! Scheduling the initial install was like pulling teeth, trying to communicate between the store managers (which do not return your phone calls btw), and the installation department; whom also contracts their work out to a third party company that could take up to an additional week to schedule you. After we finally received our dishwasher, it broke down before we ran our first cycle of dishes. Reporting the situation to Lowe's has been an absolute nightmare. We have been without a working dishwasher now for a week and a half! Having to wash dishes by hand every single day, after paying $900 for a dishwasher is absolutely ridiculous! And to top it off, the management doesn't care, nor have they shown any kind of sympathy towards the situation at all! We never buy an appliance from Lowe's ever again! read more

The parking lot has become an inventory extension of the Goose Creek Store store. They have many, many truckloads of inventory (bulk inventory) and additional fenced off sections (garden plants & lawn mowers) that takes up more than half of the parking spaces. This causes unneeded congestion and safety issues for drivers and pedestrians. This isn't happening at other Lowes store, (Summerville & North Charleston). Come on Lowes you can put this stuff in the back area of the building. Your overall appearance makes the City of Goose Creek look trashy. read more

After much disappointment & frustration with a handful of fence contractors trying to replace my ancient wood fence with all new...I should have called Lowes first. I thought they would be high, after being quoted a ridiculous price over the phone by the Northwoods Lowes several years back ($4,000 est for only 90 ft of 6ft. wood fence). I've had people not show or call, lacking in insurance, canceling appointments after taking off work...I went on Lowe's online quote request and filled out the form on a Sun., selected the Goose Creek store and someone called Monday and Mike Oliver from Exterior Projects came out after my work hours. He gave me a quote that was just as good as anyone else, a bit lower than some, explained everything clearly..could not have made it any easier. Huber Remodeling, one of their two fence installers contacted me soon after and the work work was completed a week after the holidays...Lowes delivered the materials a few days before..could not have been any easier. My fence looks great & follows the grade of land, unlike my neighbor's new fence done by someone else. My old debris was hauled away, while my neighbor's contractor left him hanging with his claiming their original price did not incl. hauling away...and they actually left part of his debris over my property line....A few minor things kept me from giving perfect 5 star .. an old post was put back up between the property lines on one side, but i luckily found one extra new board in the neighbor's debris pile and nailed it to the post so that there was a continuous new look across the property lines. I lost about a foot of property on that side, maybe cos the fence was built against the neighbors fence in front of the neighbor's tree roots in lieu of over like the old..if i had known this beforehand, i would have cut out a bush root that i fear now may grow up between the fences.. I had cut it back to a few inches off the ground for the winter, now i can't reach it . The other thing was I was supposed to get 2 solar 6x6 gatepost caps but was sent ones for 4x4 post . I took them back , but they didn't have the same for 6x6 posts, so I had to just get wooden non-solar caps since another brand was alot more. I didn't realize that I had done the math wrong until after I glued the wooden ones on, that the wooden ones were about $28 total in lieu of $38 for the solar ones..so I was out $10 cos nothing was scanned for the return & new ones ... i can't prove i returned the solar ones... oh, well at least I don't have to worry about my fence falling anymore and I would have paid more with other people... Thanks G. Creek Lowes for overseeing the whole process.. I didn't have to do anything but pay Lowes..they handle the contractors & make sure everything's done before the contractor's are paid, and contractors are licensed & insured. read more

Found a stove I wanted and it happened to be on sale $1500. Placed order on a Monday but had to wait until following Friday for installer (3rd party) to verify that opening was, in fact, 30 inches ($35.00).. Lowes placed order following Monday at which time they ran the charge. Were informed that Monday it would take 3 weeks to arrive. Not happy but dealt with it. 3 weeks later (Friday) we get a call that the stove is in and 3rd party installer would call to set up a delivery time. Got that call on Saturday and install was scheduled for following Friday. So five weeks go by, Lowes has had our money all that time and at 9:15 on the Friday it was to be installed, the installer called to say item was damaged. Had to INSIST for a refund to our CC, including the $35.00, on same day. Flash back to February -- building a fence. Lowes is convenient to our location and went there for wood and supplies -- as needed rather than all at once. At least once a week for several months, aisle would be closed and even with manager intervention, my husband was told that they didn't have anyone to drive the tow motor so come back tomorrow. Let's see -- spent close to $5,000 on the fence and $1500 on stove in the last 3 months and don't understand why Lowes can't afford to A. Hire someone who can drive a tow motor on every shift so shelves are stocked, B. Hire a third party installer that is careful with products to be installed, and C. Hire customer service representatives that understand their role rather than the one we got stuck with that immediately want to argue. How can you possibly argue that we shouldn't get ALL of our money back and why should we have to spend time defending our position? Insane. Went to Home Depot, stove will be delivered and installed one week from today. I WILL NEVER set foot in any Lowes ever again, don't care if I have to drive to another state to find what I want. Sad thing is the Home Depot salesman said that the Lowes in Goose Creek has (had) a stellar reputation. I think NOT! These folks will be out of business sooner rather than later if they keep this up. read more

Very disappointed with Goose Creek Lowe's. Went to the store before Thanksgiving to show my wife what she can get me for Christmas. It was a Craftsman pressure washer. She took a picture of the box and the price sticker so she would know which one to get. It was an everyday low price of $160. Two weeks later we go to get it and it is now $299. The manager said they have to raise off season items prices to compensate for the lack of sales. It sounds more like they raise prices on items that can be sold as gifts. Not sure how many every day low prices get raised during the holiday season. read more
