A sales associate was super helpful the other day. Wish I got his name. He stopped me to ask if I needed help finding something, which I certainly did. Nice guy. Good selection of things in this store. But pricey, but I guess everything is going up in price. Check out their discount plant section. I found a few of them that seemed to be in quite good condition. They were half off. The plants normal pricing definitely seemed wildly expensive. Will probably be back to check for some more good quality discount plants in the future. read more

Too bad there's no negative star. I've been waiting for some flooring I've bought to be delivered and placed. For three months, I've talked to everyone, I've been put on hold, just generally ignored and lied to. I was told Monday (2 days ago) that they would deliver the flooring today. They brought one single length of flooring. One. Now I'm told that they are going to install next Thursday, even though they were supposed to do it today. lowes emailed a 20% off purchase coupon.i had 3 different projects to get the materials for.spent about 1 hour getting the items.the coupon didn't work at checkout.went to cistomer service,they got the asst. store manager.she said i was the third person in the last three hours with this problem. she scrolled down to the bottom of coupon and showed me the disclosure stating that lowes can refuse any promotions if they choose. then she said if i didn't like it,i could complain to corporate. went across the street to home depot and used a coupon of theirs. read more

We went to Lowes last weekend for a dehumidifier. Jacob was really awesome in helping us. He not only showed us where it was located, but he loaded it in the cart for us, rang us up in his department cash register, and even offered to help carry it to the car for us. In store shopping is great. Rudy in the windows section has been very helpful and went out of his way to help us. Delivery and trying to speak with someone in delivery is IMPOSSIBLE. I've been calling for 2 hours and it keeps ringing and put back on hold. They are so far behind in deliveries today due to a broken truck (really, one delivery truck for the entire store??). When we placed the order we had them put in notes that there is NO cell service at the location and our workers leave at 4:30pm. Still no update and if they try to deliver with no one there I will be even more angry. This is 100% their fault for no communication and only having one delivery truck. No happy and we've been spending a lot of money there for renovations. read more

Avoid Lowes for window installation at all costs! They started a job in March of 2023 and are still not done after 8 months due to defective products, installation and service. The Lowes contractor deliberately installed windows that were too small so there would be gaps between the window frames and siding, so he could then hit us up for new siding. Who knows how often and for how long the contractor, Alternative Builders, has been pulling this scam, but that was just 1 of the many countless issues with the product and installation. It's been 8 months since this nightmare ensued. Lowes is very unconcerned, they really don't support the consumer and have passed this issue internally 4 times from one customer service rep to another, with no satisfaction on our behalf for a $20K job. Pella is the window manufacturer, they've really screwed up as well, the quality of their windows is very poor. Windows were installed with cracks and dents on the interior and exterior frames, excessive amounts of sealant oozing out between the window panes and frames, 6 of the screens were defective (holes, tears), incorrect size screens were provided, they ordered incorrect parts that needed to be installed or replaced. Do yourself a huge favor and go through a window specialist, do not go through Lowes. read more

I wish i could put 0 stars. Purchased cabinets1/27/22 was told would take a few months but that was cool due to we are remodeling the kitchen. Got a call beginning of April for from delivery company and was given a date of middle of April for delivery. We had our kitchen demoed and the night before delivery was told by the delivery company they don't have our cabinets. Called Lowes spoke to store manager and was told they been having issues with delivery company and we were not the only ones called and was an error. He looked into it and was told it would be another 2 weeks since they are still at diamonds facility. Received a call beginning of May telling us that the delivery place has our cabinets and we need to set up an appointment. We tried many times and we can not get in touch with them went to Lowes and they too were having issues trying to contact them. They also said that they had to ride up for another delivery due to the delivery company not delivering 1 cabinet and they had to get it due to delivery company being so difficult to work with. Lowes called me back and set up an appointment for delivery for today 5/12/22. Well guess what no cabinets, called Lowes at 10am spoke with MOD on duty and was told we are not scheduled for a delivery till May 24th. I was furious. Took off another day off work for this!!!! Was told he would see what he could do its the first he is hearing of this. Are you kidding me this many issues and you know nothing? His response was there are 6 Managers here. They don't talk to one another on troubled issues within their store? They got their money and it keeps costing me more and more each day that goes by. Called the store and asked how many ondura panels they had. Was told 14. Drove 45 minutes to the store. Found they had 4 plus 2 broken ones. I ended 5. What had happened was the associate was too lazy to walk back and see how many he had. His little machine told him he had 14 which was wrong. All he told me was, "the count was wrong." this type of behavior is all too typical of this store. read more

The Harrisonburg Lowes is by far the worst place to shop. I have only met 3 people that were nice and wanted to help you. Most all the others are rude and act like they don't want to be bothered. I was even told by a female something that was not true, and after talking to someone else it was plain she knew the correct answer. And like another review, the manager is just as bad, if not worse. I was berated by Kaitlyn, the building supplies manager, today in front of everyone. She was very unprofessional and should not be working in customer service. I have given Lowes all my business for my rental and maintenance company for 11 years and this is how I'm treated. I'm not sure what happened to being treated with respect. I purchased black mulch with a three-month color guarantee. After five days and the first rain, it was light brown. After a wait, I spoke to the manager about the guarantee and I was told that I would need to shovel all 15 bags up off my lawn and repackage it because they "need something to return for credit."
