Secondly, their actual service is even worse and will sell you lumber they don't even have. Most disorganized lumber department I have seen you can't even get help from an employee they will let you wait around and not help you at all. I would give 0 stars if possible. Went into store in May to order blinds. Set up measurements appointment. Crume installations came out and measured and encouraged me to go with a different style. Went back in and reordered. Blinds came. Lowe's has a ridiculous process that you can't contact installation team nor can local store. The local store has to contact Lowe's installation who then contacts local install who then calls you. It took three weeks for installer. He drills brackets into brand new woodwork of my brand new house and says they are wrong brackets. He will order new ones but he's moving away. After a week, I call the store back--which has an incredibly long process to route you to the right dept, a tactic to make you go away I think. Anyway, new brackets ordered. Wait till they come in. They arrive. Call store who calls Lowe's installation who calls Crume who calls me and makes me wait three more weeks. They come today and shocker--wrong blind brackets again. I'm called Lowe's and told them I'm finished. I want my money back and I know they are a custom order but I'm not dealing with such horrible customer service. They tell me to bring them in tomorrow and they'll refund. That's great but what a disaster. Terrible customer service. I've ordered all my appliances there and have been a loyal customer but I'll never go back. Save your time and money. This started in May and it's almost August. read more

In the Battle of the Big Box Hardware Store, Lowe's has always come out on top for me, the orange one down the street a little lower on the list. I've come to rely on Lowe's for do-it-yourself quick fixes to larger projects. They almost always have the parts/pieces/equipment I need, and often (not always) the best advice. I recently took on a project to expand and replace about 1/2 of the wood on our deck. This Lowe's had everything I needed and I managed to get it all in one trip. Since moving into our house every major appliance purchase has come from Lowe's, and not only was it at a good price, but also came with great installation. One the flip side of that, a while ago we went in to get some replacement blinds for our family room. I gave the exact measurements of the blinds to the lady who proceeded to adapt that incorrectly. A 70 inch actual measure blind IS NOT the same as the window opening, so instead of 70 in blinds we got 68 inch blinds...and a nice light gap at the edges of our not-so-room-darkening blinds. Another time we took a lawn mower in because it wouldn't run and was still inside the manufacturer's warranty window. This became a complete debacle because the store had NO CLUE how to intake the or process the mower. They didn't write anything down or put anything into a computer. Just scribbled something on a piece of paper, taped it to the mower, and moved it aside. Fast forward 2 weeks and we called about the mower and they basically shrugged and said we haven't the slightest idea what we were talking about. It turns out that the guy at the service desk who took the lawn mower followed exactly NONE of the steps he was supposed to. It ultimately came back to the store and was put out for sale....ayeap...but one of the managers was able to locate it before it go sold. Still, I like the staff at this Lowe's and the prices are pretty easy to get along with. I'd like to note and pass along that Lowe's has a great Military discount program. You have to sing up for it in advance and provide proof, but the discount is good for 10% off of just about everything as long as it's not discounted or marked down, including appliances. The orange box store down the road tops that discount off at anything priced over $500. The Military discount, while part of the reason I prefer to shop at Lowe's, isn't the only reason. They tend to be better staffed (aside from that service desk guy who couldn't process the lawn mower, and the lady who cut my 70 inch blinds at 68 inches), friendlier, and well stocked. The drive to this Lowe's is probably double my drive to the orange box store down the road, but is very much worth it. read more

Lowe's and its local team of managers continue to disappoint. I will NEVER again spend my money here for major purchases (appliances, riding mowers, grills). If you can't buy it and put it in your car, do not have faith this Lowe's will handle it properly. Our first issue was with a riding lawn mower that took weeks to unravel and fix (like we had to keep hiring someone to cut our grass). Corporate and the local store don't seem to communicate. We'd receive messages our mower was delivering and wait all day just to call and learn it was never on the truck! Not once but three times. Then we learned our mower was discontinued so they never should've taken our money. Even after we got another mower I learned they never delivered the bagger we paid for. Still waiting. This round I ordered a washer and dryer. They had a set in stock and told us they'd deliver by the end of the week. The delivery team arrives and disagrees with my husband about which set of steps to walk up. The team then gets stuck going up our staircase and dents the wall, chips our paint. Only then did they reroute to the direction my husband asked them to use. In moving my washer, a delivery person drops the washer in place ... BREAKING the surrounding tile. Both pieces were also banged up and out of alignment, certainly they'd been dropped. It's been weeks of working with Lowe's - taking pictures, filing a claim, spending time on securing estimates for repairs, getting the claims check, getting the repairs. My husband has wasted hours of his life going back and forth on the phone and letting repair teams into our house. He was able to secure a discount on our new set but trust me, he earned it. Even delivery of the new set didn't go smoothly. Pick up was set for Thursday but Lowe's was a no show. When he called he was told they will not schedule pick up differently than drop off. Again, bad communication between corporate and the local store! We waited hours for delivery on our Saturday due to Lowe's having drivers call out. It's unbelievable how one store can mess up so many times for one customer. I am sure several people around Louisville have similar stories about Lowe's. We will take our dollars to smaller, local owned stores that appreciate customers and the experience they provide. read more

My wife and I were at the store near closing time and trying to figure out a "pipe venting issue" in the plumbing department. It was a strange fabrication project that we were working on. Gary from tools and hardware was out of his area taking garbage to the back and he decided to stop and help us with a "air conditioner venting issue" He spent 10 minutes and was able to listen, assist and help us come up with a solution.Several other employees were in the area but made no attempt to ask if they could help. I am just hoping someone in management sees this and passes along our application. read more

Absolutely atrocious customer service. A blackstone was bought for me by my father in law in Tennessee. We drove back to Kentucky and began assembling it. There were missing pieces. We drove the half assembled grill to the Louisville store. We were told there were none in stock and a store credit was the best they could do. We asked to have it shipped to our house. They told us we would need to deal with it online. After thirty minutes on the phone, I was given great stories. The call center is unable to order the blackstone or check for availability without a zip code. After me personally giving the manager multiple zip codes across the United States, we found one in Chicago. Lowe's stated they were unwilling to deliver to our address for free, and we would need to pay the shipping fee. I am honestly appalled at this customer service. My father in laws business has held a business account for over twenty years. Regardless, a mistake was made, and Lowe's is unwilling to correct their quality issue. read more

To order you have to go to the dept and then if you want to change anything ....well just be prepared to be sent from dept to dept and back again because they keep saying the other dept "should do that". I usually don't go to this Lowes, however they had a water proof and fire resistant chest that I've been wanting. On their website it showed they were in stock. Upon arriving, customer service stated they didn't have anymore. The customer service employee was kind enough to show me alternatives. After showing me alternatives they proceeded to price match and gave me the online price for the alternative chest vs the On-Site price. I will definitely be back to shop more here. As Lowe's stores go, this one is a bit better than some that I have shopped in over the years (in other towns). Hubby and I have shopped at both this Lowe's and a competitor that is located nearby and we find that Lowe's almost always has a better selection and a bit better prices. What has impressed me most about this particular store is the knowledgeable sales staff. The folks in the plumbing and electrical departments go out of their way to help and advise the consumer/ DIYer about their project and needed supplies. Also, the lawn and garden has a wide variety of outdoor plants each season that is almost as good as local nurseries and at cheaper prices. I will say however, that their indoor houseplants should be avoided as I have never brought one home yet that was not infested with aphids or some other bugs (and they do not refund for dead houseplants like they do outdoor plants). The checkout lines can get long on weekends bu that is true for most any store on weekends. Parking is plentiful and most of the time there is someone readily available to help move heavier purchases to your vehicle. read more

Really bad experience has me going out of my way to Home Depot. I needed to pick up a 4 x 8 sheet of underlayment board and it needed to have one cut made so I could fit it into my hatchback. Upon inquiring I found out that the saw they use was broken and had been out of commission for months! I was told by an Ass't Manager to go to the tool world section and buy a rechargeable circular saw and cut the board myself in the parking lot. Yeah, right. Perhaps the worst customer service experience I have endured in some time. I also tried recently to return broken pots we ordered online from Lowe's. They wouldn't do anything because the order didn't originate with their particular store. That certainly made no sense. I did have a young employee give me a broken palette so it wasn't a total loss. I do a lot of carpentry projects and Lowes just loss a frequent customer. OnLine or in=person one star rating is too much. read more

This store has worst customer service. We purchased online and THEY CALLED to confirm delivery yesterday 15 March 2019 for today 16 March. After several hours and no contact, We called Lowes delivery department several times to confirm and they assured us that they were on their way and delivery truck is still out. After calling 4 times over several hours they finally looked it up and the merchandise was damaged and unsuitable. So they knew all day over 12 hours that they were not going to deliver on 16 March. the customer is an elderly disabled couple (my parents) with a broken refrigerator. We selected Lowes as they were "in stock". It's extremely disrespectful to transfer the order to another store and not notify the customer. As of now my parents in Louisville Kentucky have no idea if the other store in Louisville will even deliver or not. We cannot reach them with the number provided (502-238-5273) by the 501 South Hurstbourne, louisville ky Lowes. Not sure if the number is good or not. Feeling really tired and disrespected. Update 17 March my parents received a call from the other store wanting to deliver on next Sunday after a bit of explanation on how they were treated by the south Hurstbourne store they said they will deliver on Wednesday. Let's see how they do. Update- They called my parents today 19 March from the Bashford Manor Lowes store and confirmed delivery between 1 and 3PM on 20 March. This is for store 474, Lowes in Louisville KY. I had been looking for nice patio chairs since winter. My old patio chairs had fallen apart so I was looking for something that would last. I found on Lowes website some chairs that I was interested in. They were expensive $505.00 for 2 chairs. I ordered 2 sets. I made my order on April 5th. The chairs arrived on April 12 in 2 boxes. They were metal swivel chairs that had to be put together. I put together 3 of the chairs but the 4th chairs the holes for the bolts did not match. I called Lowes, explained the problem and was told the chairs will be picked up and a new set of chairs will be delivered. The delivery driver came, picked up the box that still had the one unassembled chair. I asked if he wanted the other chair, and he said no. Lowes then called me later and said they needed to pick up the other chair. That's fine, but in the meantime I had decided that I wanted a refund for the one set of chairs because I didn't think the chairs were worth the $505 for 1 set. I explained this to the person when they called. Several days later the delivery guy came to the house to pick up the other chair. I gave him the chair, already put together. He then proceeded to take another box out of the truck to replace the chairs. I explained that I was returning the chairs not looking to replace them. He said I would have to speak to the store for a refund and he left the chairs. When I called the store, they said they would come back and pick up the chairs the next day. I left the box outside my garage so they could pick it up. They never showed. That night we were scheduled to get rain so I moved the box into my garage. I had not heard anything about the pickup so I went about my day. I normally work from home but I had a doctor's appointment, so I left my house for roughly an hour. When I returned, one of the put together chairs from the first order was on my deck, along with the matching chair. One chair was gone and on the patio table was a receipt for the chair. The box that should have been picked up was still in my garage. By this time, I had had enough. I spent over $1000, for chairs that I still didn't even have a full set of. I called the store and explained I no longer want the chairs to come get them and issue me a full refund. I have been dealing with this since April 12th, today is May 5, 2023, and I still have 3 chairs, (not a full set) and no refund. They were scheduled to be at my house to pick them up this morning. According to the store manager I was the first stop. It is now 11:30 and still no sight of the delivery guy. I called the store and they passed me around to different people, then said they will pick the chairs up at 1 today. I am still not sure how I will get a refund since they can't even get their delivery's in order. I'm sure I will probably have to write a review on that as well. Wish me luck!!!! read more

Lowe's at 501 S. Hurstbourne Parkway is a good place to pick up all of those household items you need such as light bulbs, replacement hardware and bath items. They have a great selection of outdoor patio furniture, pillows, cushions and accessories. The customer service people are helpful and kind. I had to return a defective item without a receipt recently. I did not have the MyLowe's Card and had changed credit cards since the purchase. They took care of it quickly and efficiently. I was on my way and able to pick out a replacement quickly. read more

My aunt, Sharon Lavender, custom ordered Graber shutters on 05/29/19. The first set of shutters to arrive were the wrong color and had to reorder. On 12/11/19 the installers replaced the shutters, the custom measurements are not correct. She has made calls to the store and in person to the store, asking for a manager. She has given her contact number, no one calls back. On 12/19/19 she was able to reach Doria Applewhite. Once again, she is told that someone will call; no one calls back. On 12/23/19 she tried to contact the store manager via phone. Two calls were made, both times she was rudely disconnected. She has now filed a complain with the Better Business Bureau. Went to get new keys made. Tried the keyosk those keys don't work. I went back and had the people at Lowe's cut new keys. Those keys did not work either. I took them back to Lowe's. Where I pointed out the issue. I was told "that does not matter". Where I said two different people cut these keys neither had the feature I was pointing out and neither work. I was told again. We needed to replace our washer and dryer that had just gone out. We like going to Lowe's for appliances because they always have competitive prices and will deliver free and haul away the old. When we arrived there was a sales person right away to help but, allowed us time to look at our pace with no pressure. We decided on a matching pair that were on sale and he helped us get it all written up with the extra hoses and ducts, etc. that we needed. We also had received a coupon for $50 in the mail which we had no trouble using. Within three days both were delivered, installed and running with no problems. For the most part they carry what you need. Traffic is bad to get in and out of and pro sales has no parking. The store is clean and neat, some of the staff is friendly. Others have no manners and don't speak. They could use more friendly people and knowledge. The install staff isn't what they should be. For a big box hardware store (like HD) they are very, very similar. HD will be cheaper on 5 items but then Lowes will be just as much cheaper on 5 different items so my experience is that it evens out. It really comes down to which store you are closer to and then down to whether you have a brand preference of not as they have many of the same brands but then each store will have exclusives. For a hardware store it's clean, staff is friendly, knowledgable. read more

I love when delivery men are late and end up scuffing up all of your doorways/chipping paint off the frames just because they are too dumb to understand if an appliance is going to fit through your door. This is the first and last time I'll go to Lowe's for anything. I only got appliances from them because of a sale, and I now understand why delivery and installation is free. First of all, they didn't even install the dryer like they were supposed to because they were too lazy to figure out how to do their job properly. Then the washing machine (that they did actually install) was done extremely poorly and they left the faucets noticeably leaking. So, they basically left it all up to us. Thanks, Lowe's. We'll be sure to never be back and waste our money at your store again. For the future, I hope you hire some people who actually know how to do their jobs and not some naive morons.
