ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They kept us waiting nearly a month, never bothered to communicate, and thought the remedy was to make even more money on us??? We are VERY good customers. We have purchased a lawn tractor, numerous pieces of lawn equipment, chainsaws in different sizes, and even purchased a chainsaw for each of our kids. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. When Hutson purchased this business, it had a stellar reputation. It takes years to build a good reputation, and weeks to demolish it. They have lost a good customer.

We bought a Sugar Kettle Fountain Kit in Nov 2024. The kit costs more than $3k and weighs almost…read more700lb. Once it arrived in Austin, Texas, we had it installed but had problems rights from the beginning. The motor that comes with the kit is not appropriate for this kit. We had to get that fixed by installing a valve on the intake. Then the real problems began! The bowl started to be coated with rusty slush almost from the second day. The people at Blue Thumb told us to keep the fountain running 24 hrs a day and it would "clean up". After a few days we had the whole thing dismantled and power washed to remove the rust. When we restarted, the same happened again. At this point we called the supplier and asked them to, at a minimum, cover the cost of have the bowl powder-coated (approx. $500.). They told us that they know of the problem and are now offering a new model with powder-coated bowl. But they would only give us a paltry $150.00 compensation for the troubles! That we have refused to take. So far the labor and repair on the installation and clean up has cost us at least another $3K and we still do not have a fountain! This should serve as a cautionary tale for anyone ordering anything from the Blue Thumb. They don't appear to stand behind what they sell.
