I placed an order for a small item. could have chosen standard delivery but instead I chose to pay extra for same day delivery. same day turned out to be 5 days. I requested a refund of the delivery charge. I was told I would have to deal directly with the service they chose to deliver my package. I think that since they chose who would deliver it that they should be responsible for refunding my money. I don't shop there a lot but I will be taking my business to Home Depot from now on.Lowe's used to be my favorite store.Not any more. read more

I like store pick up, the garden center, and convenience of going to the store. I will say their service team does not have the best record, they often seem to have no idea what they are doing so often watching a YouTube video is a better bet and is often quicker. Luckily we mostly shop in store for what we need so we don't need the service too much. read more

Was very unimpressed with both the customer service and also management. Ordered a stove over the phone, had to call back the following day to see if they had ordered it...to which I was informed "No, we were very busy so I didn't get a chance then and will do it today." Never received confirmation email so called to speak to a manager. Manager was incredibly unapologetic and seemed to care less than the associate working and gave a half hearted apology at the very end of the conversation. I work with Lowe's in Zanesville all the time and seem to be very pleased, but this Mount Vernon location has been anything but helpful. read more

I placed an online order for $266 for Same Day Delivery. My item never arrived and it's been 5 days. Lowe's will not allow me to cancel the order or refund my money. I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and then a case manager called me. I told him I don't want called by Lowe's ever again. I suggest on not buying any flooring from the Lowes in Mt. Vernon, OH. The 3rd party contractor they hire to install are always a "NO SHOW". They put us off a few days then on the day they were finally to arrive they said they would be 2 hours late and then did not show up. Tried calling Lowes and they are no help, it is a circle of getting no where. The manager was the least helpful person, not sure when I will get this flooring installed. On Nov 4, we went to look at a dishwasher and a stove we had picked out from an ad. When the guy went to ring the items up, he had trouble with one of them. He also said our Lowes credit wasn't working, prob because they were changing all rewards to some pro thing. So he has my husband sign up for a pro account. Still unable to ring up our 2 items. So a girl comes over & they tell us they have to ring 1 on 1 register & 1 on the other. Still no luck. After nearly an hour, they take us up front to customer service, where they finally get the items rang up. They hand us some papers, tell us they'll call when items are in. We get to the car & I notice there is no bill of sale for the stove, just a register receipt. Next day, the girl calls to say they have 0 of those stoves in their warehouse, do we want something similar. I said no, drove the 20 mi back there to verify we want the one we paid for. Next day, a guy calls to say it's cancelled. But it's still on my bill. 2 months, 2 disputes later, cancelled and reissued new card, STILL on the bill. About to take it to small claims, charging us for item they didn't have & had to way to supply. Worthless. read more

Mount Vernon Lowe's has become the worst! Went to get "more" of what I was needing and the rack was empty but stock online says they had over 1000 pcs. After taking several minutes to even find help, I was told online stock qty was correct and I would have to drive to the outside location to get what needed after I pay. I then stop to get other stuff on my list (descent size project list) With no help offered or found I loaded my cart and get to the last item on my list to find they don't even have. This is an item needed to even complete anything on my list. No help so just left loaded cart in isle. Now I pay for what they had outside and go to get loaded and no help. When I do drive around twice, and finally find someone to ask, I am told they can't remove banding outside. What? That's it I was done. Back inside I went for my money back. Was a big waste of a trip to Mount Vernon. Time to get all at Menards. Will be worth the little extra distance. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Needed an above the range microwave for home. Checked the Lowes website and the Mount Vernon store had the model I needed in stock. Drove the 8 miles to the store and walked back to the appliance section. Sales associate was working with a customer at the kitchen design desk... no problem, I'll wait. After approximately 10 minutes, I walked to the sales counter and pressed the help button. The staggered announcement for help in the appliance center went over the PA at least 5 times, no one came......not really a problem yet, they are likely short staffed and associates are busy helping other customers. I walk towards the front of the appliance section (maybe I can get someone else's attention) and notice that the appliance associate has gone to the sales counter. I turn around and approach the counter and he glances up and walked back towards the customer he was working with, he does this two more times. Never once acknowledges my presence, never says "someone will be with you shortly", nothing. I walk towards the front of the store and encounter an associate pushing a cart with a large item on it, ask him if someone can help me. He stammers a little ( in his defense, he was clearly delivering an item somewhere) asks what I need, tells me the microwaves should be on the back wall and I can go back there and get one, or I can "try to get the guys attention in appliances". He's right, they are in the back, on the shelf, at the top, completely inaccessible to me without help, which there is none there either. I have shopped at this Lowes for years, and have never experienced the complete lack of customer service that I did tonight.Complete wast of my time. I guess I'll drive the 45 minutes to Newark or Mansfield and spend my time and money there. Unbelievable. read more

Appliance Installation. NEVER AGAIN! When a customer pays hundreds $$ on top of the cost of an appliance to have it properly installed, the company that Lowes of Mount Vernon uses should provide a competent installer. We chose to use the cooperating company CNF electric owned by Charles Fisher as the installer for our dishwasher and over-head microwave because my husband has spinal stenosis. We paid extra, over $200 for this professional service. The installer came two hours late, for the first appointment, yes it took making three appointments and a visit from the owner to have two appliances installed. The employee of CNF electric, Larry, was late, inept, unprepared and weak, meaning he could not install the appliances on his own. He asked for my husband's help. He burnt a blanket on my stove, making my house smell toxic for hours. He read directions for installation for over 50 minutes. He stayed for three hours during the first "visit". Took two more hours for the over-head microwave before I dismissed him. Mr. Fisher was full of excuses for him and attempted to make me feel guilty for not allowing such inept and inadequate service.
