Tried to have them come do a water treatment estimate for a water softener. They assigned Moore Water Treatment. Moore was not easy to work with so I told them I would find someone else. I called Lowes a couple minutes later and Moore had already gone in and called the service. Lowes said as Moore closed the order, I would have to go back to the Lowes.com web site and fill out a new request for a quote. I said no thanks! Very poor service all around. read more

Lowe's on 180th and center has once again proven itself to be a hot mess of a store. Last night (March 9, 2024) we picked up a Moen bathroom accessory set to install for a customer this morning. After attaching the towel ring to the wall, the customer noticed it was covered in sharpie marks. Upon closer inspection, it appears there was an attempt to (poorly) conceal scratches on the item from being dropped or scraped. This set was on sale, and it was the last one of its kind in matte black. Based on the condition of the packaging, it obviously had been bought and returned. Thinking that shouldn't be a big deal, we bought it anyway. Bad move. Now we will either have to return it and look elsewhere for a matching replacement, or ACTUALLY cover the damage by removing it from the wall and using a proper spray paint-- which we will have to purchase out of pocket of course. Not to mention the additional time spent on the clock to deal with Lowe's mistakes. highly recommend NOT buying an item from this store if it appears to have been opened-- the staff clearly does not inspect for damage before putting returned products back on their shelves (and that's generously assuming it wasn't the Lowe's staff themselves who damaged the item and tried to cover it up) We also bought a bathroom storage shelf last night for this same job. Due to the package having been very obviously opened up and taped together, we will likely be returning it and shopping somewhere else to avoid potentially installing MORE damaged items in our customer's bathroom. read more

Pretty fancy inside!! Well, except for the men's room decor, where the decor was borrowed from a gritty truck stop. The hand dryer was so rusty it could have come from Davy Jones' locker. Really loved the dirty hand-water streaks on the wall. Pass...I'll just wipe my hands on my pants. With everything going on now, this should be more important to you. I have used many Lowe's services over the years, and appreciate the hard working sales associates. Recently, I purchased carpeting to redo a small bedroom. The carpeting is fine, and as advertised. The installers, Kelly's Interiors, chosen by Lowe's, did a fine job installing the carpeting, but then asked for over $100 in additional fees, which were not included in the original contract. I strongly objected, and they took off a portion of the charges, however, I felt like they were definitely taking advantage me. Not sure if I will order carpeting there again.... I needed to pick up some AAA batteries and decided to give Lowe's my business vs heading to the grocery store or Costco. Staff were friendly and cordial but the store didn't appear clean or organized. I luckily found the batteries by the checkout areas vs going down every aisle, reading signs of possible batteries being present there. Checkout was quick and efficient. We spent 8,000 on flooring and here we are after almost two months FINALLY getting a call from their subcontractor because when we went into the store to actually speak to a person they finally got us there.... I went here yesterday for paint for my son's room. The guy at the paint counter was SUPER helpful and knowledgeable. Not only did he know a ton about what base to use to adequately cover the color currently on the wall without need of a primer coat (which saved me major time!), he was also super knowledgeable about what materials I could use to quickly and safely prime the chair rail (which is currently high gloss) for painting. He went above and beyond, and seemed to enjoy and have fun with helping suggest paint colors to best suit the look I was going for. It was a good experience and I will definitely be returning to this location for future paint needs. Well done! read more

We contracted with Lowe's to purchase our pergo flooring and have it installed through their professional services in 6/2018. After several issues with the install, over 30 phone calls from me to Lowe's with promises of a return call ever single time but never a follow through, it was completed in early August 2018. Lowe's never called or confirmed if the job was done properly or if we were happy with it after all our issues. Fast forward 3 months, and our floor started to separate and have huge gaps through which you could see all the way down to the subfloor (over forty 1/8-1/4" gaps). We filed a claim since the labor was under warranty for 1 year. After waiting 6 weeks and once again many broken promises of "calls back", the contracting installation company came out and said they had never seen anything like this before. Lowe's told our contractor to "knock it back together and tell them it's seasonal gapping". The contractor was able to fix about 10% of the gaps. He told me to demand new flooring from Lowe's because this is definitely not seasonal gapping. After trying to call Lowe's and also communicating with the installation office in person, they said they would contact pergo and open a case for their warranty and that I would be contacted in 48 hours. This was 4 weeks ago and I have heard NOTHING. I have called several times and, once again, have always been promised that I will receive a "call back tomorrow". Needless to say, I will never be doing business with Lowe's again after being a loyal customer of theirs for our home remodel project for many years. I suppose my next step will be to spend some time standing in their flooring section advising all potential customers to take their business elsewhere. It's been 9 months since this disaster started and we are still unable to install our baseboards due to our flooring issue. It's an awful feeling when you are treated so poorly and feel so helpless after investing thousands of dollars into what you thought would be your dream flooring. read more

I had three employees walk away from me after waving them down for help or saying "excuse me", and two tell me something I was looking for was on the complete opposite side of the store than it was. The only person who I eventually could get to help me, while kind, had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. I actually really like Lowes. They have a great selection of tools and I've found their plants also always seem to do well. The people are helpful and friendly and seem to like their jobs. It's laid out in a logical manner so items are easy to find. Prices are competitive and even better with their sale prices. I recently took a 25' tape measure that I bought at Lowes with a "lifetime hassle free warranty" and was told they wouldn't exchange it without a receipt. I said "who keeps a receipt for a tool purchased 7 years ago over the lunch hour while on the job? And who else sells Kobalt?" She said Home Depot and True Value sell Kobalt tools. I can't find any indication online that that is true. This Lowes is.....ok. It had an OK selection (not huge but not tiny), it has OK check-out speed most of the time, but we have also stood in line for 25-30 minutes. The one very redeeming part of the store is it's staff. They are all very outgoing, friendly, and know the products and services offered. That has made the big difference with us and I rated it 3 stars instead of most likely two. Customer service makes a big difference and this Lowes has that very much going for it. read more

It just seems like Home Depot always has more of what I'm looking for. For instance I wanted to hand the TV from the wall and needed an M8-1.25 screw. In the world of TV's apparently this is a common size so I tried finding it there and they didn't have it even though they had the space in the drawer for it. Also, they are much higher priced than Home Depot, which I find surprising considering they are competitors. I purchased a 14 piece set of clamps which were about $12. They weren't the best, but they were what I needed. Found the exact same thing at Home Depot a few days later only it was a 22 piece set for $9. I will say this that the staff are usually friendly and courteous, so that is a plus. read more

I like this store, and the sales people are very helpful. What I do not like is the way they do deliveries. We purchased a refrigerator from them that they ordered. We were promised delivery on a certain date, but then received a call shortly before it was to be delivered changing it to the following week. We then purchased tile, some wood trim, and everything needed to have the tile installed. I received a call asking if I wanted it delivered on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I chose Saturday and the window was between 12-4 (which I also hate--that's a huge window.) When I didn't receive my 30 minute call ahead by 3:30, I called the store. Someone had changed my delivery to Sunday without contacting me. I chose Saturday for a reason! When I spoke with the store manager, she had no explanation and didn't even know who the person was that changed it. Their delivery service is extremely unreliable, and we probably won't purchase anything from them again that needs to be delivered. read more

We ordered new counter tops at this store and are very happy with them. The ladies in the counter top dept. were very nice and helpful. ( Sorry I can't remember their names) The gentlemen that came to install them got to the house at 9 a.m. and were done by 11 a.m. They were very professional and efficient. We then went in to try to find a backsplash, I asked Kent for help to determine what kind we wanted. He stopped what he was doing and gave us a lot of suggestions and also showed my husband some ideas on how to install them. I would highly recommend this store. read more
