I have had an unsuccessful attempt to get warranty or replacement parts for a $600.00 item that failed after a few months of service. Customer service sent me on several goose chases to finally end up at the same contact message after 8 months of follow-up. Formal case numbers included and zero contact. I followed all requested for information and then was told to contact Rona....which ended up in the same situation. I offered to pay for the parts needed to fix the problem myself and got more misguided information. Now I have no choice but to throw a massive garden structure into the landfill and pay for a new one. NOT a friendly or sustainable company. I would not recommend dealing with Rona as they are unethical in business practices. read more

Verdict: I will never, ever, EVER shop at Lowes again. I would rather pay $50 more than ever allow Lowes the chance to sell me something again. A couple weeks back I bought a carpet here. I drove to Orleans from the West end of ottawa for a specific carpet, and I had a coupon that was emailed to me online for $10 off my purchase. After racking up over a $400 bill, I was rudely informed by the store wannabe manager that the $10 coupon was only for online orders. When I asked them if they would rather me leave the carpet at the cash, go home and order it online and have it delivered for free, I was informed that I may have to just to have a measly $10 coupon honoured. In the day and age where human jobs are rapidly being replaced by machines, I would have expected the wannabe manager to honour a coupon that amounted to less than 1% of the total purchase. I have been to this Lowes a few times and the staff are always super friendly and helpful. They have great sales and price match so that is awesome also! The store is very clean and organized and usually well stocked of anything I need. I bought some lumber the other day and the first 5 cuts are free so that was perfect because I only needed 5. They say if you need 20 or more to call and book ahead - probably so they can have more staff around. The guy helping me was more than happy to get what I needed and apologized when he had to take a call and see his manager - which only took two minutes max but I didn't mind at all because he explained that he was the only staff there right now. I just had a Horrible experience at Lowe's at 3828 innes road, I went there to purchase an umbrella item:808555 for 399$, I called the store to make sure the item was available, and they indeed told me it was available, i went to the store and one of the store associate told me that they do have 1 left, and she proceeded to go in the back of the store to bring the item, I went to the cash and I was told this is a 700$ umbrella, I said fine, bring me the one that I came here for and they told me, that one was sold out and if I want another one that I should pay the 700$. It's pointless to call the store and ask if the item is available. Even when the store clerk went to the warehouse, she could have scanned the item to avoid me to drag the big box to the cashier. I asked to speak to a store manager, I spoke to Laura (assistant manager) which wasn't any help. I asked Laura if the store manager is available since she wasn't trying to help. She said his name is Eric and he was not in today. frustrated, annoyed and disappointed I left the store and decided to call the store so I can speak to another manager, to my surprise Eric the store manager (who was suppose to be off for the day as per his assistant Laura) answered my call, long story short he wasn't any helpful either, I was not asking for free umbrella, all I was asking is for compromise or to be compensated for the money I paid for the truck I rented, I will never go back to that store again nor spend my money. read more

Wow I would love to write a great review about my shopping experience with Lowes here in Canada but I guess I can't because apparently they cannot ship to me. If you live over 100 KM away from them they wont ship anything. Not a $4.00 Hand tool or a $3000.00 refrigerator. What? IN this day and age??? Do they not know how to set up an account with a postal delivery service? Home depot will at least ship small stuff and no, I do not live in the boonies. I just happen to live more then 100 KM from Lowes. You are really limiting your sales by not shipping since I know I can't be the only one who wants the $3000.00 fridge. read more

We have been in lockdown for a month now, you would figure that a retailer as large as Lowe's would have a system in place. We did our order online for some 3/4 inch plywood and other small items. Placed the order on Sunday, got a notification on Monday that the order was ready. Followed the instructions and booked a pick up time 8:30 am. However, upon arrival was told that the order had not yet been pulled. Then told that of the 4 pieces of plywood only 3 were available - this was after waiting for over 1 hour for the order to come out!!!! Spoke to the manager who seemed to have little concern for the lack of inventory or the fact that when the order was placed the inventory was in stock. It is also reprehensible that it is the poor staff who wind up doing the running in and out of the store are exhausted by the demand and also end up having to deal with upset customers. Why are the orders not pulled ahead of time? There are no customers in the store - the aisles could be filled with the orders ready to go. read more

During a long weekend Noah K and I decided to tackle some projects that included sealing a driveway and mounting a flat screen TV. Neither of us knew exactly what we needed, and after a disappointing experience at Home Depot we decided to check out Lowes. This store has a similar layout and feel to Home Depot - it's massive! I would absolutely advise tracking down a staff member for help. We had an excellent experience here with a staff member names Michael who not only suggested a cleaning product to remove tar, but followed up at customer service to check and make sure they had it in stock and to find where it was located. He then walked us to the item and chatted with us about how to properly use it - customer service at it's best! When we inquired with another staff member about the driveway sealing he took a solid ten minutes to find the products and tools and chat about the procedure. He was friendly and helpful and recognized us the next day when we came back for a stud finder. The staff here are excellent, but I do find the store so huge it can be intimidating. Come with a list, and before you get lost in the huge aisles find a staff member to help you out. Not only will they find what you need, but they'll do it with great advice and a smile. read more

I was at the store this afternoon to return a few items. There were two employees helping with the returns. While one employee was still serving one customer, the other employee decides to walk away when it was my turn to be served. She started looking at some papers, looked at me a few times but couldn't care that people were lining up behind me to do the returns. Then she started chatting with another employee and casually walked away. May be it was her break time but it would have been nice if she could send someone else or could at least say that someone will be with me shortly. These little things go a long way when it comes to providing good customer service. read more

WORST customer service ever! I ordered on line lowes.ca as I do not go out due to covid. I ordered 14 items, being wall plates, light switch and outlet. ALL the same colour! Well, not only have I received my order in 3 separate shipments, some were the wrong colour. I completed the online form for a return. What a joke. I provided all the required information to only receive an email from lowes asking me for the very same details that I had already provided and told that I have to go in to the store to do the exchange. I tried the chat, to be told the same thing. Well, I went to the store! Lowes needs to get its act together and provide true customer service. I was told by the cashier that i had not ordered the items from this store, so she had to do a refund and proceed with a new purchase. I had to repeat many times that I did not purchase from another store, I purchased from Lowes online! I will stick with the smaller stores and Canadian tire. read more

I bought a washer and dryer from Lowe's and am very happy with the service. The price was also very good, other stores were selling the same model for more. They gave me a 2 hour time frame for delivery and they delivered it when they said they would. They even called the day before to confirm the delivery time. I like that the time frame was only 2 hours. Some places make you sit around for 4 or 5 hours. After the delivery, I got an automated call asking me for feedback about the delivery. This shows that they care about customer service. I would buy appliances from Lowe's again. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! The customer service is phenomenal. I went here to pick up some supplies to seal my drive way. I love the do-it-yourself jobs around the house. A company a while ago, came to my house and asked if I wanted my drive way sealed and repair some of the cracks. They quoted about $400-500 for the whole job. That's pretty pricy! So I googled the shit out of how to properly seal my drive way. I went to a number of different home improvement stores to gather up some information. Some of the other places didn't have as knowledge and friendly customer service like this place. The other places felt like they just didn't care about pleasing the customer. The moment I entered lowes, I easily got help from one of the customer service reps and they guided me through the whole process and the equipment I will need to seal my drive way. They were pretty bang on to what I've researched on the internet. I would highly recommend checking out this lowes. read more

Twice I have ordered online. First time was a Pergola kit that got shipped to the wrong address. Second time around they reshipped and sent it to my old address. I felt like a porch pirate driving in and taking my two boxes. They did give me a credit for my aggravation but there was a lot of phone conversation. Today I ordered online some basic items to pick up in store and should have had a two hour window. Ordered first thing in the morning. No confirmation the order was ready and now on hold for way too long with the store. Sounds like it is one person who deals with the online orders. Not impressive service all around. read more

Shopping for window replacements, both guys never got up from their seat to help us, it's as if they really didn't care if we bought all our windows there or not. So we went to Home Depot and recieved excellent service! On another occasions my husband wanted a socket set but the're were none on the shelf, so he ask the guy who looked it up on the computer and he said there were 14 sets in the store but they could be anywhere. He told my husband to come back Saturday (in 2 days) as he would be working and have time to go look for them. REALLY! My husband needed them now! Lowes have the laziest workers, they are as motivated as Walmart staff! read more
