Then, heading towards the crates. Heavy duty, gold top and black box, and better than the clear ones that break faster. I even dropped the heavy duty ones a few times and not a scratch on it. Used my veteran discount & self checkout included staff that scanned our items. Also picked up some garden soil on sale. We ordered cabinets (made by Kraftmaid) from our local Lowe's, we shop there a lot. The sales associate, Ruby, would earn a 'ten' in her efforts to be sure our order reflected our wishes, and her attention to detail. The installers, who work for Embry, Joseph and his team, were spectacular a 10 for sure! But there were snags, all originating from Kraftmaid, which created delays. We are not exactly 'finished yet, but overall we really like the transformation in our utility room. Hats off to Lowe's for providing this type of service, to Ruby giving us all the time required to get it right, and Joseph for making sure it was properly installed, and being honest about defects and how to address those! read more

Complaint Against Lowe's On May 29, 2026, I placed Order #300902150262791005 with Lowe's for a vacuum and an outdoor welcome mat. The Lowe's website showed the welcome mat as in stock. When the order was delivered, I received no notification, knock, or doorbell alert, and I later discovered that Lowe's had delivered the wrong item. On May 30, 2026, at approximately 10:00 AM, I contacted Lowe's Customer Care and spoke with Diane. She verified that I received the incorrect item, refunded the gift card used for the purchase, and assisted me with placing a replacement order, Order #300906150261343706. During the call, she confirmed that the Pearland, Texas store had the item in stock and advised that four units were available. I received an order confirmation showing the replacement order had been successfully placed. Approximately 30 minutes later, Lowe's canceled the replacement order, stating the item was unavailable. This directly contradicted the inventory information provided during the call. I also discovered that the gift card used for the replacement order was not fully refunded. When I contacted Lowe's again, I was told a replacement gift card would need to be mailed to me and that I would have to pay again if I still wanted the item, despite the issue resulting from Lowe's errors. When I requested assistance, I was told no other solution was available. I asked to speak with a manager but was instead connected to a supervisor who advised that I could not speak with a manager by phone, obtain a manager's email address, or receive corporate contact information. I informed Lowe's that I am disabled and rely heavily on deliveries. Despite explaining my circumstances, no meaningful accommodation or effort was made to resolve the problems caused by Lowe's mistakes. I am a longtime Lowe's customer, and my complaint is not simply about a welcome mat. It concerns receiving the wrong item, conflicting inventory information, an incomplete refund, being asked to spend additional money to correct Lowe's errors, being denied access to management, and receiving no meaningful assistance. I am requesting: (1) immediate resolution of the missing gift card refund; (2) reimbursement of any funds being withheld due to Lowe's errors; (3) review of the customer service and escalation process; and (4) a reasonable resolution regarding the item Lowe's repeatedly confirmed was available but failed to provide. read more

No associates asked us if we needed help, and when we asked they referred us to their website. Besides the terrible customer service and employees that do not care about customer service, I will explain the straw that broke the camels back. I rented a sewer auger to clean my clogged drain. When I used it, the machine worked in forward only and I could not retract the the 100' of coil. I called the rental department and the guy had zero technical advice, not a technician available to potentially help. During the wrapping if the coil around the machine to return, the electrical box fell apart from previous repairs. When I brought the machine back, they wanted to charge me and I asked to speak with the manager. The manager took exactly 1 hour to speak with me and then she said, sorry your 4 hour rental has completed and I owe the fee. Me? I canceled my credit card because the machine was in disrepair and they are now having creditors calling me to pay the bill on a piece of equipment that did not work. They knew the machine had issues because it had all sorts of tooling marks on it from previous repairs. Do not make the mistake of renting tools or having other customer service issues. Both are bad, and neither are my fault. First order, I was given a date and told to show up. I took a half day to do this. Products were not there, I wasted time, effort and money. That's a problem for me. Second order (today). I made an online pick up order. They showed it being in stock. I get an email that my pick up is at another location. No call, no choice whether to drive out to another location, or have them transfer it to this location to pick up. Not very friendly to your customers. I placed an online order for potting soil on 4/18/24, received confirmation that my order was paid for and ready for pick up. I came to pick up on 4/19/24 and went to customer service only to not be helped and four sales associates were standing around on their cell phones. I asked "can anyone assist me" and was met with a sour attitude by Breyzee, and asked for my barcode for in-store pick up. Then another sales associate, Kimoe, came over and asked for my barcode. Breyzee then stated "we ran out of the potting soil." I asked for an explanation, because I had paid for it. She answered "well, we ran out." I again asked "I am seeking to understand how I pay for something and receive confirmation it is available for pick up and then you all sell the items I paid for." She said "you're not the only one this is happening to" - which didn't answer my question at all. I asked if the soil was any where else and she stated it was at every surrounding store but not this location. I asked if I could go pick up at these other locations and was told "No."" I then asked what my options were and Breyzee said "you can get a refund if you want." I said yes and asked for it to be processed. Breyzee then informed me that I would need to get on the long line at customer service for the refund to be processed. There was no apology, no empathy, no customer service at all. This young lady should be placed in another area of the store so she doesn't have to interact with customers because clearly she absolutely despises this aspect of her position and she is not good at it at all. read more

This is actually ZERO stars. I just can't post it without stars. On May 5, I purchased a Genie 7055 TKVE garage door opener for my new home. I've had one before and it worked fine. The sales assistant asked if I would like to purchase their warranty. I asked, "would I have to call the actual Genie company"? I was told no. For $59.97 I bought their 3 yr warranty and they had a $99 installation special. I received only my receipt. That's it. A couple of weeks later it was installed. Since that day, there have been issues with it . Little ones. But, issues nonetheless. It finally just stopped working and I had to use the manual release. I called Lowe's to ask what do I need to do to get it fixed. Well surprise, surprise...I was told "you need to call Genie." Calling Genie is an effort in futility. Make sure your schedule is cleared and you have a lot of time on your hands. And a ladder. Make sure you have a ladder in order to climb up to see the tiny serial number on the main part of the opener. Ironically, the opener started working again before I finished the live chat with someone who was rushing me. I ended the chat. BUT, a few days later, it stops lowering. I trouble shoot for the 100th time and have to use the manual release. I called Genie. After about two hours, I get a call back. Did you know that the opener is covered for a year but they don't cover labor? BUT, I have to submit a receipt first. How was I supposed to know that? I thought I was covered by Lowe's. I then called Lowe's again. Initial guy on the phone didn't know how to answer my question of what do I need to do to have someone come out and fix the opener under warranty. He puts me in contact with Luis who gave me the number for their warranty people. I told him if I didn't get a resolution, I'd be calling him again. Well, good luck trying to get a live person with warranties. What I got was the live chat guy, Jack, who apologized over and over again because Genie has a 5 year warranty so Lowe's will not honor their own warranty. Let me remind all of you, Lowe's was real quick to offer their warranty AND take my money. I then called Luis again but guess what...he's at lunch I'm told. Phone guy wants my number so Luis can call me back. That was Tuesday, July 1st, at about 1pm. It's now 5:30 July 2nd and he must still be eating because I never received a call back. That's okay. I have the corporate headquarters number and email. I've had enough corporate compliance meetings to understand fraudulent behavior. Knowingly charging a customer for something when it's not going to be honored.....sounds like fraud to me. So now, I'm paying out of pocket tomorrow morning for a repair guy to fix the damn thing. The manual release is no longer working. I guess basic customer service is just a thing of the past. So, the advice I'd give is choose where you purchase items wisely. Don't buy the warranties without ALOT of research and don't buy Genie Garage door openers because getting help from either is useless. read more

I am beyond frustrated in my dealings with the millwork department of this store. A previous door order was delayed and eventually apparently dropped from their system and records(?) -- after being paid -- and even though we followed up repeatedly to get our door, it took a number of months to finally get the door installed after constantly chasing them down in person at the store and over the phone. THEN, the door they sent and installed was wrong. It took multiple store visits, again with multiple promises from the store that they would follow up with us -- with no follow up -- to remedy the situation. After about a year in total, we finally had the correct door on the hinges. I guess we are gluttons for punishment because we went back to the store for a second door order of two doors. Of the two doors, one of those that arrived to be installed was again NOT the correct door. The installer promised us that the store would follow up on the mistake, and of course they did not, consistent with our experience previously. Now, we are in the process of trying to correct this latest situation after yet another store visit and unfulfilled promise of follow up on their mistake. We can only guess how much more of our wasted time it will take to get the final door on, but this will absolutely be THE FINAL door we purchase from this store. read more

AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS! The manager, so-called, with a heavy southern drawl (I'm forced to say this in describing him because he refused to give his name) is an arrogant and rude buffoon who KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called with a very legitimate complaint about an employee who gave horrible service (yawning along with obvious disconnectedness) and highly inaccurate advice that ended up being very costly. I assumed, as any rational person would, that I'd encounter a manager who had a slight clue what it means to deal with customers effectively through listening, understanding, empathizing, and ultimately owning the problem a customer was experiencing. HA--that would be a pipe dream at this store or with this character. This guy was all about his own ego or his pride that all he could do is tell me to change my "tone" and demanded that I speak to him with "respect." Talk about someone who demands respect he never earned! Well, I don't yell and I'd never resort to cursing when I have a problem; I do, however, speak firmly and directly, so I guess he has a problem with clarity. Long story short, I explained the problem with the employee and/or the damage resulting from the inaccurate advice. I told the story with precision accuracy and included important details. He didn't offer a single affirming comment or provide a sense of empathy; nope--just dead silence. I finished and the silence continued a full minute until I finally had to say: "so....what is going to be done about this?" To which he answered "that's none of your business what I say to my employee. you're not privy to that information". To that absurd answer, I said "I really don't care how you address the employee; I said I'd naturally hope he would be addressed, but added the fact that my question was directed at him and the whole situation by asking what would be done to resolve the problem with me. In response to this, he went back to my tone and sarcastically said I'd be "hearing a dial tone if it (my "tone") don't shape up and give respect". Meanwhile, the hypocrite refused to look at his own "tone" as he berated me --a customer--in his unprofessionalism! He seemed to really enjoy telling me that he'd hang up on me throughout the short call before he ultimately fulfilled that promise when he did hang up on me--just after I asked for his name! read more

And, installation is a racket! Lowe's insisted the electrical outlet had to be moved to accommodate the size of the oven for double the price. Lowe's managers were unkind, argumentative, and dishonest... and we were patient and explained our frustrations over and over. They did not care a bit about us as a customer. My recent visit might have been one of the most PAINLESS appliance purchases we've ever had! We were in need of a new dishwasher. I looked online and found the one I wanted. The website said they had 3 in stock at this location. My friend urged me to call the store and check because she needed a dishwasher a few weeks prior and NONE (?) were in stock (so she had to get one at Home Depot). I called the store and the gentleman who answered said his computer stated there are 4 in stock. Great! Arrived at the store, a male appliance worker asked if we needed help. I showed him the dishwasher I wanted. He went in the back and brought it up for us. We paid (with a choice of 12 months interest free or 5% off with our Lowe's card). The guy helping us had to go up front to assist something up there and we had to wait around for a bit for someone to wheel the dishwasher up to the front. They called him back and he apologized for the wait. He then helped us load it I for the bed of our truck and on our way we went! Dishwasher was originally $799, Labor Day sale we got it for like $529! Happy with both the experience and LOVE my new dishwasher!!! read more

Lowe's Home Installation is 100% Fraudulent. Lowe's does not handle the "Home Installation" that they promote. It is contracted out to a third party call center. The call center then sends out the order for the installation to different company's in your local aware. The call center is a bunch of foreigners that can't speak a word of English. They are extremely rude, disrespectful, and just hang up the phone on the customer. I know this from personal experience after purchasing a light for my dining room. I have a 12 ft ceiling and the call center arranged for a company to install the light in my dining room. (I had no way of knowing if this company is Bonded &/or Insured.) The guy shows up in a banged-up red pickup truck. No company logo - nothing. Who is this guy and who does he represent? This guy is only about 5 ft tall with a ladder shorter than himself. All he says; "I'm not qualified to handle this job." Seriously - Get Out of My House. I contacted the Call Center who scheduled another appointment but I was completely blown-off. Again, I contacted the Call Center and another appointment was scheduled but I was completely blown-off. I was utterly fed-up and insisted Lowe's refund my Installation charge. I did receive my refund and hired someone else whom was qualified, bonded, and insured to install my dining room light. Lowe's Home Installation is 100% FRAUDULENT. Imagine the following scenario. You were hungry and you decide to order takeout, you pay the food service and they agree to show up with your order at a designated time. The doorbell rings and you open the door and there is no food. The delivery person then asks you "what do you want me to do?" This was my experience at the store over the last two days. I put in online orders for local pick up and each time I showed up to pick up my items their in-store quantities were incorrect. I was then asked what steps I wanted to follow next in a condescending tone by someone 15 years my junior. The customer service at this store is terrible and is staffed by a bunch of young people who desperately need training in problem-solving and understanding the correct tone and attitude to have with customers. I just waited 30 minutes for an online pick that was supposed to be ready and waiting for me. I could have walked the store in 5 minutes and gotten it myself...pretty terrible service. I was told to walk down to lumber and that my order was there. So I did and it was only half there, I was missing baseboards and trim pieces....3 items total...the lumber manager said my entire order should have been waiting for me at pick up since the three items weren't lumber...to my understanding someone lazy didn't do their job. Their in stock products showed they had more than plenty, but once they started rolling it out, there was only 4 feet of it. They said they would leave a note for the manager. Absolutely horrible customer service from the assistant store manager. We opened a lowes account, purchased appliances to the sim of over $5000. Not only did they have a warranty via the manufacturer, we also purchased the lowes protection plan. We paid the appliances off and brought the account balance to a zero balance, a week later the deep freeze we purchased broke. Neither the manufacturer nor lowes honored the warranty. They continued to pass the buck between both entities with no resolve. We have been without a deep freezer for months now. We are a middle class foster family, so being able to purchase bulk and on sale items to freeze and feed our family is a must to our finances. We went into lowes today to get the issue resolved after spending more than 17 hours of time on the phone with both companies to get the issue resolved. The assistant store manager not only was curt, and uneducated on their internal customer satisfaction policy and protocol she was smug and rude. I worked in retail management for 20+ years, never have I seen such disregard for the patrons who make their paycheck possible. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced. I will not go to Lowe's In future and I will be sure to share my experience. They will only send out an e-mail to confirm pick-up. He also had the, "tough sh1t for you, but that's not my problem" attitude. I called the other location and asked to be transferred back to the Pearland store. The customer service rep actually said she tried calling me but got no answer so she transferred my pickup order. Then I proceed to explain that the store she transferred to was not convenient, so she says what would you like me to do? I say can I speak to manager?
