Lowe's in Rocky Mount Customer Service is terrible even the manager. I had 4 dead Gardenia bushes which I purchased on my Pro Lowe's Card. the young lady at the customer service attitude was ok but one of the manager not even over the garden center was rude. older white bearded guy, red vest. anyway he comes up, I can't even tell what the plants is, I said, they're dead. I guess he thought it would be green and blooming. He said Lowe's policy state you need a receipt, I said no it doesn't. I have the picture and bar code and it should appear on my card. I was told it could not be found. The cashier tried but he walked away. Lowe's policy on plant return within a year is a scam and some ASM need customer service training. I will add to this post once it get the ASM name. Rocky Mount Lowes is the worst in the state for being stocked. Just moved down this way and now I guess Knightdale isn't that far after all. they have excellent customer service. read more

I'm still waiting on a refund of product and services that the construction installer absolutely dropped the ball and did not return any of my calls. They're quick to charge your card but you practically have to beg them to REFUND the services i paid for, but did not get. Once they refund those charges, i'm cancelling the Lowes card. This has to be the absolute WORSE run Lowes in america. Ive been waiting to have doors installed since August 2022, its now 2023 & job is still incomplete. The in-store customer service is terrible nobody can help with issues. I bought hot water heater to be delivered was given delivery window from 12-4pm It did not arrive nor was I called. I scheduled someone to install hot water heater for the next day BUT ITS NOT HERE!!! I even scheduled delivery a day before because I KNEW some way Lowes Rocky Mount just might mess this up, AND THEY DID. I figured a simple delivery they could handle, BUT THEY COULDn'T. And NOBODY called to tell me anything. I was forced to drive back to store where cst service said delivery is late but they would call....NOPE Cutometrs should NOT be treated this way. All customer service knows how to do is point fingers/pass the buck. Calls go to 1 useless prompt after another & your are just on hold forever. Since its the only Lowes in town your all but stuck to this ridiculous business. Going there is a total crap shoot whether you get the services or items you want. The poor in store employees hear SO MANY customer issues/complaints they are numb as to exactly how to help you at all. Can you tell I am totally frustrated? read more

My husband and I were really impressed with a young man named Christian in your door/window area. We visited the Rocky Mount, NC store on Monday 10/24/2022. Christian took time to talk with us about our efforts to jazz up our old front door which we have been looking at for 30 years. He had a broad and deep understanding about the products you offer and the pros and cons of each as it related to our needs and budget. He was so pleasant and professional. It has been a very long time since I have run across a person in retail who was so knowledgeable and helpful. I would suggest that you acknowledge his extra effort and easy style when talking with people. We are measuring our door per his instructions and plan to return to purchase one of the 3 doors he said would fit our needs. I hope this positive review reaches Christian and his supervisors. Terrible experience with customer service outside of Vonquail and Sophia. People weren't attentive and almost seemed like they had an attitude that you needed help and asked additional questions regarding a pickup which turned into 32 minutes of standing around in this store. Even the person who brought out our item seemed to be in a funk and that was our first time interacting with them. Would rather drive to Raleigh to feel like the money were spending is actually appreciated . The sign outside the bathroom says actively caring for people but that's a stretch and false advertising at best. read more

Lowe's is the primary home improvement store in Rocky Mount since Home Depot closed down several years ago. This store always has a good selection, but the customer service can be lacking. Last month as I was checking out I told the cashier I was a veteran. Veterans get an extra 10% off at Lowe's. I showed the cashier my drivers license which shows that I'm a veteran. She said ok and I put my license back in my wallet. As I was paying it seemed like my bill was high. I looked over my receipt and she did not take off the 10%. I asked her about my veteran discount and she said I did not mention anything about being a veteran. I told her I showed her my license and then she copped an attitude and said you can go to customer service and get your money back. It really ticked me off and I just left with an "average" feeling about Lowe's. read more

Do not order here if you actually want your product to be installed. I ordered a dishwasher and installation on June 6th- its now June 24th and I still have no dishwasher. Lowes online says its been delivered to the store, Lowes in store says its been delivered to the store and they're waiting for the installer, the installer says that they're waiting for Lowes. No amount of phone calls or emails seems to fix this issue. No one is willing to take responsibility for anything for this problem and keep transferring me to "someone who can help." I am currently on hold AGAIN and have been for 40 minutes, and thats just for today. Would not recommend if its not available in store right then and there. read more

I bought 8 boxes of flooring at the cost of $400.00 The cashier asked if I needed help and called for help. I moved my car up to the loading area and waited for 10 minutes. No one came. So this 66 year old woman loaded 8 boxes into her Escape all by herself. No one ever came out to help. I do appreciate the person in flooring pulling the boxes and having them ready for me to check out. 5 stars to the flooring dude! read more

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. It took over 30 minutes to pick up a freezer I had already paid for after speaking with a customer service person. The people at that location have no gitty up in there go no pep in their step. They get to you at their convenience, not the customers. And you can't set up a deliver time you have to wait I find this hard to believe. Customer service and helpfulness I give them a 2 out of 5 stars. I went to but 3 items first thing in the morning, as I approached the front check out area there was a lady at one of the registers. Her light was off and the "gate" was closed, blocking customers from checking out. I walked around searching for customer service to be checked out. Needless to say she was the only one. A gentleman came to me and asked if I needed something, "of course I need to check out." He replied that she was open and I said, "no her gate is closed", she then replied that I could use self checkout. "Ummm NO I'd rather not." So she scanned my items and walked off, 2 minutes passed, I looked around for her as I had paid with a giftcard and the screen said waiting for cashier to enter code. She finally came back, typed in the code and walked off again! The register printed my receipt and I was on my way. The customer service SUCKED and was not very friendly at all! Wow is all I can say. Do not use the leasing program they offer unless you ABSOLUTELY have to!! They charged us $388 extra for a grill that was only $269. So now we are paying almost $600 for a grill!!! What a ripoff!! read more

July 26, 2022 at 8:15 am I called lowes home center in Rocky mount ,Nc to check to see if a microwave Ilike the one I had purchased July 1, to pickup a missing part from the box. I first called them on 7/18 and I was told to check back a week later which would have been July 25, 2022. I wanted to give them time to put stock up on Monday so I waited to call on 7/26 they transferred my call to appliances phone rang about 10 minutes no one ever answered the phone, finally some lady picked up and I told her the phone had been ringing in appliances for 10 or 15 minutes she then transferred me back same thing happened again then another lady came on and she said if no one picks up she will connect me to a manager well guess what they must not have any managers in the store because after that phone just kept playing music and no one ever came to the phone. As I wrote this review I was still holding for someone to answer the phone , such poor customer service that a customer have to stay on the phone for almost an hour it is now 9:05 am and no one still have not answered the phone. I would not recommend this store very poor customer service. read more

Horrible service. Carts for heavy material were all full with material not being used and in the aisle. Employees standing around and wait for money to fall from the sky. They're unmotivated some seem to be wandering around when there's carts that need to be put in place and items that need to be restocked. Worst Lowes location I've ever visited. read more

6/12/2018 I went to the door department to get two storm doors. I got there and the employee was waiting on another customer. After 20 minutes of waiting for him, while he was talking to the customer about nothing, I left. He was talking to an old caucasion guy while two blacks are waiting for service. On the way out the guy says,"you find everything"? The only reason I that the service is so consistently poor is because there is no Home Depot. It would be zero stars if I had the choice. We purchased a new washer and dryer back in November and have had a to have 2 service calls on the washer in two weeks and finally talked to someone at Lowe's who said it would take three service calls and the technician to deem the washer as not being able to be fixed before they replace it and I type this as my wife and I sit at laundromat on a Monday night Washing clothes. Has Lowes flooring department in Rocky Mount NC closed down for Christmas already? Have been trying to contact them via phone for 4 days now. No one answers. Still waiting to hear from Cristina Greene on when Lowes will be delivering the remainder of my flooring materials to my home on for an installation scheduled for 12/19/17.This has been one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. I have had to initiate over 25 phone calls starting with the estimate to find out anything. Then I fought thru getting on Legacy Flooring's installation schedule. Jonathan from Lowes offices did help in getting the ball rolling. Spoke to Cristina 4 days ago and she was supposed to call me back on a delivery date for the remainder of my flooring materials. Not the best store around. You can find someone that actually takes pride in work on occasion and willing to do the job they are paid for. More often you will get someone that will all but run to avoid doing work of helping the customer. Those at cash register seem to be serving out a prison sentence with their miserable attitude. If you need to get help finding things, advice of any type, or wish to order appliances to be delivered then go to Wilson or Raleigh. This store is only a go to place when you know what you need, where it is located, and do not need any employees to be pleasant. read more

Vonqual K. Is the best employee of the entire store, he voluntarily helps patrons, I've driven up to a loading area and watched 5 employees scattered like bats from the daylight. He came after they scattered and voluntarily offered assistance, better yet he told me he would take over and not to lift a thing. He handled everything with care, all my transactions returns and purchases. This store is and have been notorious for the poorest customer service. It's too bad they were here before Home Depot and the city citizens were accustomed to patronizing Lowes, they don't deserve it, according to their poor reputation to be here. Home Depot had a higher standard in hiring practices and their employees proved to like customers, imagine that Lowes, with the lowest customer satisfaction. The store manager ducks and avoids complaints more than the employees, he has a guard to fend you away, they take the data and swear you'll get a call and you can believe me, the call won't come in your lifetime, nor the store managers. If you have small purchases, give the business to Central Builders, Ace and others, I'm sure they'd give you the help you need and are more likely to appreciate your patronage. read more
