I am writing to share my experience with your associate Alvaro Aguilar My husband and I were shopping in your store on Saturday, July 18. Alvaro stopped us and asked if were were finding what we needed. We had and told him we were about to check out. I realized I had forgotten my card (we live 1 1/2 hours away) so we went to customer service to see what our options were. Needless to say the older lady at the customer service could not offer us any options so we were about to put our purchases back on the shelf when along came Alvaro. He spoke again and asked if we had been taken care of. I explained what customer service had told us. He immediately guided us to a register and proceeded to call a help line. WATCH THEM!! last week I stopped by Lowe's in Sulphur Springs to price out a landscaping project I was specifically looking at the half wine barrels- shown below. They were clearly marked last week at $54. Yesterday I was in Greenville at Home Depot. I priced their barrels as well, they were $55. There wasn't that big of a difference in cost so I came to Sulphur springs this morning. I ran into several issues with bad pricing. The wine barrels was probably the most glaring. in the SKU off of the wine barrel. It popped up $69. By purchasing two barrels it would've been $30 more than it should've been at $54. I mentioned their comparable prices and pulled up the Home Depot website, showing them the cost difference . They tried to argue with me, saying that the wine barrels were different. They're the exact same damn barrel by the exact same manufacturer. When it became a parent, I was just gonna walk out and go over to Home Depot. They gave me the barrels at the listed price of $54. I walked right outside and took a picture and brought it back into them to show them that they had priced them at 54.98. Railroad ties, commonly called, "landscaping ties" are three dollars more here in Sulphur springs than at Home Depot in Greenville. I'm probably just gonna go to Home Depot to pick up my railroad ties, and 2-14 foot steel ranch gates. If they can't keep their prices straight, I'll just do my business at Home Depot in Greenville. This is a large landscaping project. This stuff adds up fast especially when it's not correctly marked. Their website is unreliable as well. it will have one price on the website, and then you get to the store and it's completely different. Use extreme caution when going to Sulphur Springs Lowe's. Do your homework or you're going to pay more than you should, because of their bad pricing habits. read more

I ordered a refrigerator on 3-24-23 for delivery on 4-14-23. I received an email confirmation, called the store the day before delivery, and was verbally confirmed, and received a phone message the night before confirming delivery between 1030-1430 on the 14th. By 1430 on the 14th, no delivery and no phone call. I called the store and was transferred; the phone rang until it disconnected. I called back, and the person said, please hold immediately, and I was left on hold for 20 minutes. They didn't come back on the phone. My husband drove from Kansas to Texas for this delivery. We are trying to move and can't move into the house without a refrigerator. My husband called the store and was informed they did not have our refrigerator. He was then told that the refrigerator was there and scheduled for delivery the next day, but they had no way to contact the delivery people as they don't control that. And the story changed again; the refrigerator is now supposedly on the delivery truck, and they had a phone number for my husband to call and see where it was. I called corporate to complain and find out what was happening during this time. While I'm on the phone with corporate, my husband gets a hold of someone from Retail Direct and is told they don't have any information on delivery to us. The corporate complaint person gets on the phone with me and tells me that Preston (the manager) has the refrigerator at the store and has put it on the dock for delivery the next day. By this time, we are tired of being lied to and don't trust anything we are told because the story keeps changing. Now my husband has to drive to Sulfur Springs to the store to make sure the money will be refunded. It's one thing to make a mistake; it's another to keep lying about what's happening. I also checked the BBB and found 13 complaints about the delivery company (Retail Direct) that Lowe's uses. Complaints included non-delivery, damage to order and property, and one instance of stolen items. Lowe's has some serious issues with large order items. It took 8 hours of phone calls to go through all the lies only to cancel the order because you can't trust anything they tell you. Don't buy anything that needs to be delivered. You won't get your item and will not get a truthful answer. read more

I bought a new washer and dryer from Lowes. The dryer worked fine but the washer had issues right out of the box. After 6 attempts in calling someone finally answered the phone up there. They said I had 48 to bring it back but time elapsed and i didn't hook it up until a few days. They refuse to help me or stand behind what they sale. I called an independent repair man and he said the computer board was bad. Repair would be about $400. Thanks Lowes for selling me a piece of crap and not helping me. I'll never go back in there. By from locally owned independents if you can still find them. Lowes had the wal mart mentality of "you need us" . Like hell I do ! A typical lowes wearhouse we have in SS. You can find everything you may need for the household, building projects and beyond. They can help you find stuff you may need. They are not so great with home deliveries on certain household appliances in terms of delivering them on appointed time frame. There are a few accounts where I had to wait all day because they were so late on deliveries or they just completely missed delivering to me. This is not good, because I had to miss work for no reason and they really need to improve on getting things delivered on time esp if I live only a couple miles away from this store lol. One good thing about this warehouse is that they carry hundreds of different giftcards from various department to online stores like kidsRus, itunes, and other big chain restaurants. This can be a convenient way for people to grab a giftcard of many choices when holidays or birthdays arise. read more

My husband and I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer set 3 and half year's ago. We bought the extended warranty. Although they both have a 10 year warranty. Our washer stopped working 2 weeks ago.We thought no problem we will call Lowe's they will send a service technician to repair it. We are still waiting so tomorrow I have to go to the laundry mat ti do our washing. They have dragged there feet not in no big hurry, I guarantee you if it was there's they would have already had it fixed. They havexon there paperwork that we bought Wirlpool brand. No it's Maytag, $2000 for both. We took the receipt and paperwork after we bought it and now they can't find it. Someone doesn't know what they are doing. We bought 10 thousand in flooring and 6 appliances from Lowe's. They know the date the amount. The credit card # and still can't find anything on it. That is not good customer service. We are running out of clean towels and clothes. We shouldn't have to go to the laundry mat after spending that much money for a 10 year warranty washer. This is the first time I've ever reviewed a Lowe's store negatively but it has to be said Today I couldn't not say something about the customer service and manager. We went to buy thousand dollar refrigerator And since we are in the small city called Winnsboro and this Lowes is the closest one to our home. The manager explained pathetically that he would not do a free delivery because it was outside his area even though it's the only Lowe's in the area. Left went to Home Depot in Mount Pleasant which is further out from my local Lowe's and they will deliver free . For four times in ten years we have purchased appliances with Lowes. Each time they tell us to simply give our phone number and they will be able to help us with service needs in the future. This has not yet been true. Being that Lowe's is the closest and most convenient place to buy appliances we continued to go there. For the 4th time our appliances broke down. This last time Lowe's was still less than helpful. One saving grace was a single employee in the appliance department which was able to give us the sold on date and a number to call. The following call made was useless. Again there was no help. After being hung up on by the representative (even though I remained calm and civil throughout the call) I called right back. I got a different representative her name was Susie she connected me with Maytag Direct. Then Maytag notified us that if Lowe's had been more forthcoming at an earlier date they would have been able to help us. I notified them that Lowes may sell their products but they do not properly support their customers. We will no longer be buying appliances at this Lowes, but we will continue to buy Maytags. read more
