My partner and I came here TWICE because our A/C unit in our apartment is not working and we're tired of calling them to have them fix it only for nothing to be done.... So Lowe's to the rescue! We got our first unit for the living room pronto. I didn't know much about portable units, so my partner and I got some help from one of the employees who was actually not only empathetic, but was able to answer all our questions and give recommendations about what would be the best choice for us. We left buying one fan and a new portable unit for the living room, which is currently still running strong so we're not sweating and suffocating. Fast forward a few weeks later... I have to buy ANOTHER unit for just the bedroom as we haven't been running the apartment's unit AT ALL due to it plain not working as well as leaking. Back to Lowe's we go! We had two other very helpful employees assist us on getting a clamp for the hose as well as a new smaller unit for the bedroom. I love how the employees were friendly and took their time explaining the warranties and protection plan to make sure we get the most out of our purchase. I purchased forty bags of play sand from Lowe's, including delivery services arranged and paid for through Lowe's. Lowe's subcontracted the delivery to RXO (formerly XPO Logistics), whose driver caused over a grand in property damage to three separate properties on November 11th, 2025, as well as almost hit my neighbor. The driver was uncommunicative, had to be flagged down from leaving the scene, and did not speak a word of English. Property 1 received massive tree damage that required removal. The driver also damaged the mailbox. The mailbox at Property 2 was completely flattened. Property 3 received damage to the mailbox and the rock structure around the mailbox. I included pictures of all properties, as well as receipts for the damage, and even pictures of pieces of the truck that the driver left: again, that's literal pieces. Despite Lowe's direct role in arranging and profiting from the delivery, most of their representatives have repeatedly attempted to shift responsibility to RXO, directing me to contact their representative or speaking with them on my behalf. I received most of it after threatening to take them to small claims court but am still waiting on $150. Meanwhile, do you think this asshole company offered me even a coupon after all this? No - Well congrats, you lost a customer and I share this story whenever I can. Way to embody everything people hate about large companies. To RXO - eff you for putting unsafe drivers on the road. Everyone who works at the store is mute and unable to greet a customer or assist them unless they're selling solar panels. Then I go to exchange propane tanks and after waiting in the hot sun for five minutes the employee arrives and proceeds to go through half a dozen racks of propane storage boxes and they're all empty. The one that does actually have propane in it has a different lock, which he has no key for. It's another example of how there is no attention to detail or accountability for your job anymore. The worse lowes ever I bought a refrigerator they told me I can come back and do a warranty, the next 2 days the refrigerator rock side to side they told me it been 48 hours I can't return it. I talk to the supervisor in paints he was so rude I called corporate. They told me they can't fix it unless something manually wrong with it. I'm stuck with this frig. The worst store ever. And I bought mulch from the same store they couldn't find no one to help me, I started loading it my self the cashier coming running out you didn't pay for that, I told her I just left your register and show her my receipt. I paid for my purchase with an unused $100 gift card which caused some confusion. I don't know why. The cashier applied $40 toward a purchase amount of $73 and change. When I questioned it he said only $40 was on the card. I believed him and paid the balance using a credit card. He did not return the gift card to me I guess because he thought it didn't have a balance. I left aggravated and confused as to what happened. Upon returning home my wife reviewed the receipt which showed there was a remaining balance on the card of $60.00!! We returned to the store and approached a new cashier at the same register and I explained the issue. I asked if we could go through the trash- I was hoping the previous cashier wasn't trying to run a scam and he pocketed the card! We found the gift card in the trash! So it was wasn't a scam but rather inattention and pure mistake on the cashiers part and on my part for trusting he knew what he was doing! The cashier wasn't able to pull up my husband's account that was already verified for his military discount and wanted us to take the receipt to Customer Service to get a refund... No sir - not on a busy Sat. When the checkout and Customer Service line is long! Their system has a glitch where it's impacting the ability to pull up my hubs account by his name or telephone number, so I suggested that he login through his Lowes account via the app. To be able to pull up the bar code and this worked & took less than a min. The flowers / herbs / succulents are my favorite part about this place because they have an amazing assortment! I was able to find flowers on clearance from 0.70 to $1/each (YES, please)! Also, I was able to purchase two resin pots for an excellent price. We were in dire need of a replacement refrigerator after waiting nearly 3 months for LG to buy back our defective unit. We went to our home improvement favorite, Lowe's to find a refrigerator they had all the features we wanted. Hard to believe how much product there is out there with so many different features, price points and configurations. Fortunately we met Eleine the appliance department manager when we were finally ready to buy. Eleine truly knows her products really well and fully understands the Lowe's system. As a result we were able to find a top-of-the-line LG refrigerator that had every feature we could possibly want. Plus a few nice extras. She also guided us through the upcoming July 4 sale. Pricing was at or near market best. It keeps getting better, as we had been without a refrigerator for quite some time she was able to expedite delivery for the following day - today. The delivery process was just as good - on time, professional and very considerate of our home. And yes they wore masks and were appropriately safe. Another huge plus, Eleine was able to help us stay within our budget so we therefore splurged and bought a really nice dishwasher. I cannot recommend her and most of her team highly enough. Special props to Savannah, a relative newbie who truly understands customer service. To me, Lowes is a logical choice if you need appliances and knowledgeable guidance throughout the entire process. read more

Paul asked if I needed help when I was looking at a dishwasher and I said yes can . please give me a quote for the dishwasher- all I wanted was the price of dishwasher what it would cost to install it and what it would cost to haul away the old one, and add the accessories I needed for the installation. He proceeded to tell me to take a picture of the the price tag the price tag above the item and look online. I said well what accessories do I need and are there taxes is there an installation fee etc. He got mad at me and said what exactly do you want. I thought I had told him what I wanted the complete cost of the item plus installation delivery and take away. Another sales person came up and said it was really hard for them to use the computers. I've visited this store at least a dozen times within the last couple of months, to the point it feels like my second home! Lowes has just about everything you will need to renovate your home. I purchased granite countertops elsewhere, and bought paint at Sherwin Williams. Otherwise, went to Lowe's for almost everything else. The store is huge and a bit overwhelming the first ten visits but gets a little easier to navigate with practice. There are over forty larger than life aisles with the tiniest bolt to an entire kitchen. The layout and signage makes it easier to navigate through than Home Depot, and it seems to have a bit more to offer. The two major home improvement stores are pretty competitively priced, and they accept each other's coupons and match sale items. When you change your address with USPS, they send multiple 10% off your purchase at Lowes coupons. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help for as long as you need them. Returning items is very easy. The one big thing this store lacks is tool/equipment rentals, so for that go to Home Depot. This store is conveniently located between Sherwin Williams and Home Depot. Perfect trifecta for DIY enthusiasts. read more

It's clean and had everything I was looking for. I'm a terrible homeowner. I don't know how to fix anything or even how to maintain what I have. My first question is usually who can I contact to do that for me. Luckily I have friend that forces me to do home maintenance instead of paying exorbitant fees for the easy things - or maybe that's unluckily because I actually have to do stuff. This time around I needed grass fertilizer and water softener salt. I probably should have done more research into what type to get, because I was shocked that there were so many options. With the grass fertilizer I had choices of weed killers, bug killers, etc. Some cost double the price of others and I didn't know if it was worth it. It must be grass fertilizing season because they were front and center when you walk in. I went with the basic make my grass grow, because it's too hot and I'm too much of a germaphobe to actually put my baby on the grass so I don't care too much about killing bugs. It was $24 instead of $47 for the do everything bags. I hope I won't regret this later. Next step is actually laying down the fertilizer, but I'll save that for another day. There were less options for the water softener salt, but still enough that I felt for people who knew what they are doing there are good options. I went with pellets instead of crystals, because I read somewhere to go with pellets. Hopefully my water softener will continue to work after I dump it in. We also got two new brooms. The price looked comparable to what I saw on Amazon, less than $15, so we just got it while we were there. Nobody was in the checkout line so it was a super quick process. It would have been more helpful if there were more employees walking around so I could have asked some questions, but I still got what I needed. I frequent this store since it's close to my home, but I'm not exclusive. I still shop at Ace and Home Depot as well. I've always preferred shopping Lowe's first because it's more aesthetically pleasing and seemed to cater to the "softer" side of home improvement. Lowes doesn't always have what I want. I went in with a coupon after I bought a new home looking for a new toaster oven and was disappointed that they discontinued selling small appliances, so boo for that! We still purchased several major appliances here over the years including our front load washer and dryer, our refrigerator, lighting and ceiling fans at this location. Over the years the customer service has deteriorated on the "soft side." They are still helpful if you find someone, but no one is coming up to you asking if you need help...UNLESS you go to the contractor side. The contractor entrance employees in front of the lumber department is fantastic. If you walk into the contractors entrance you are greeted and asked right away if you need help finding something. One of the guys at the desk even let us borrow a tape measure and go outside with it to measure some sheds. Mike in the lumber department goes out of his way to ensure you are getting the right materials for your project. Going forward I would rather go in the contractor entrance even if it doesn't make sense...I really appreciate the service given in that department. read more

Lowe's is my preferred home improvement store and has been for years. The store is designed and laid out with the customer in mind. It's easy to navigate the store to find what I need, and it is designed in a way that lets me enjoy being there and want to spend time checking out things (I don't necessarily need) and find new projects to do around our home. Now, to be fair, this is probably what my husband dislikes the most because he would prefer to get in and out of the store, and finds we spend more when I come with him and "browse" for a while (LOL). Every once in a while, when I can't find what I need at Lowe's (which is rare) I venture over to Home Depot. Whenever this happens it leaves me appreciating Lowe's even more! HD seems disorganized and geared more towards contractors than at home DIY-ers. I dislike spending time in HD and try to get out of there as quickly as possible (and therefore buy less there). There always seems to be plenty off staff at Lowe's around to help and answer questions whenever needed. If the staff member I come across doesn't have the answer they can find someone who does. I've learned a lot from their staff over the years, and appreciate that they treat me with respect and don't mind "teaching" a customer who might not know a lot about a particular home improvement area. Lowe's has also become my go-to place for flowers and plants every spring. They always seem to have a good selection and their flowers look healthier than those I have found at other stores, so I keep coming back. I knocked one star off Lowe's because if their appliance delivery and problems we have had with that over the last few years. We ordered a microwave that was supposed to arrive in less than a month... four months later it got there. They did end up discounting the item more because of the delay, which was appreciated, but we were without a microwave for an extra few months which was a pain. When we ordered a stove online (during Covid), the only option was in store pick-up, delivery wasn't even available for a fee! I don't know about you, but a stove is a little too big and heavy for me to pick up and move myself. A few weeks later it showed that delivery was available for that item if we ordered online at that time (but we had ordered it a few weeks before). My husband went into the store and they were able to make the change for us and we ended up getting it delivered in the end (yeah!). The delivery date ended up being pushed back some (not months like the microwave), but luckily still arrived before Christmas. Now I don't know if the long delivery times and delays are necessarily the fault of the store, as it may actually be due to supply problems or issues that relate back to the actual corporation rather than this individual store. Yes, I know.....it's a big-box chain retailer, but when people go out of their way to provide over-the-top outstanding customer service, I believe that you owe them a "Thank you". Lowe's is a well-known chain of retail home improvement and appliance stores throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. They were founded almost 70 years ago in a small town in North Carolina, and they've always been my go-to home improvement store for quality appliances, paint, patio furniture, tools, flooring, hardware and more. This particular Lowe's can be found along Hillsborough Avenue at the intersection with Race Track Road. This is the same shopping center that holds a Publix, YouFit, and Cracker Barrel. If you travel just a bit further along Hillsborough Avenue you'll cross the county line into Pinellas County. I took this week off from work to get caught up on a variety of fix-it and painting projects, and stopped at this Lowe's with a list of tools, hardware, paint, and supplies. My first stop was the paint department, and I pulled out the color swatch provided by my girlfriend, explaining that she wanted a bedroom accent wall in this light blue color. The guy punched a few buttons on his magical Harry Potter paint color computer machine, and then squirted out a small sample to show me the finished product. It was right on the money, so I asked for a gallon and a quart. While waiting on the paint he saw my list and offered to help me locate the paint rollers, drip pan, drop cloths, etc. Turns out that he was the manager of this department, and was super helpful with suggestions. Once the paint order was done, he walked me over to the hardware department and introduced me to his buddy who happened to be the hardware department manager. I told him that I was looking for a few odds and ends (drill bits, battery packs, wall fasteners, etc.), and he walked me through his department, showing me the various choices and making some great recommendations. These two guys were fantastic, and I really appreciated all of their expertise and outstanding customer service. It would have been easy to just point me in the right direction, but both of them took the time to walk me down the aisles and then give me some worthwhile advice on the various choices. So now, as I sit here watching the paint dry on the accent wall, I'm typing out a thank you to the associates at this fantastic Lowe's Home Improvement store. read more

Who knew there were -so many- different 48" types of light bulbs. We ended up getting two different wattages so we could change out the laundry room too. The people are always friendly and helpful when we are there. If they don't know they will find out. Many will even look it up online. Usually everything is fully stocked and if not they are happy to order it with no extra charge and free delivery to store and some home deliveries are free as well. Returns are quick and easy. Always keep your receipt it just makes it easier. The MyLowes card is awesome and keeps all things you buy in a Data base so you don't have to remember paint colour, AV filter type or size, type or watt of light bulbs and so on. I love this store and we shop here almost every weekend for some DIY project. read more

My husband purchased a full kitchen package from Lowe's the week before Thanksgiving. They provided quick delivery with a third party vendor. We had an issue with the stove the day after it was delivered. My husband went into Lowe's and spoke with customer service representative. They were amazing and provided excellent service again!! After getting the run around from one plumber and an outrageous estimate from another, I went to Lowe's to purchase a new water heater. I really wish this was where I went first. I was in and out of the store in 20 minutes. The independent plumber they sent for the install was fast, professional, and efficient. The new water heater was installed in under an hour. I don't know what's really going on with this place but the customer service of associates absolutely sucks and the people are just plain rude. Another perfect example: I went in this evening to buy light bulbs and was treated roughly by the cashier by the name of Sean- He literally scoffed at me when I asked a question then proceeded to give me a receipt when I told him I didn't want or need one and that I would emailed one- he said "not my problem" and gave me a receipt anyways. They paid well compared to minimum wage, but not enough to easily live in the area I worked. Employees and managers were generally really nice and working there was overall pleasurable (for large retail work). Health benefits for part-time and full-time workers is great. Also, being dog-friendly is HUGE and great for both customers and employees alike. The Oldsmar, FL store I worked at seemed exceptionally kind, knowledgable, and enjoyable and I highly recommend them. But Lowe's can be much better.... There were great people working and frequenting the store, and great dogs all of whom deserve a great business to get their home improvement needs met, and Lowe's could be that store. Things that could change: - Minimum wage up to $15/hour. Full-timers should be able to afford living in the same town as the store, easily, at the least. Raises being at least a dollar, as well. - Removing products like RoundUp, patented seeds, non-organic plants and soil. - Adding local art, local plants and seeds that are beyond organic and appropriate for the area, local food and drinks by the registers. Bring in the community you're supporting. - Collaborate with and donate towards Habitat for Humanity. Change requirements that force the tossing of materials and entire products into the dump and contribute towards Homes, low income, all of that. The hardware department alone generates pounds and pounds of unused items every week (from one store) that just can't be sold and would otherwise be tossed. This can help poorer neighbors and help build low-income housing with HfH. - Hire more in each department. It seemed as though the minimum is pushed and held onto, but with a few more people here and there, everything would be so much more exceptional and customers would be so well cared for. - Increased support for department-based meetings so everyone is easily on the same page and can discuss concerns and ideas. - Gloat about all this and the great benefits you offer for full- AND part-timers. People will flock even more. - More comfortable, inviting, and stocked breakroom - More floor cushioning, sitting options, and other ways to rest our feet from concrete flooring for 9 hours a day. - Do WAY better with the music station. I like Lowes, it is a bit slower paced than Home Depot & the staff appears more helpful. This is a clean & efficient store. Most Lowe's are pretty much laid out the same & have well marked aisles to help you find what you need. I always seem to miss an essential item, but it is always easy to find helpful sales associates, with far superior knowledge, than I have in this area. do not under any circumstances use lowes for your fence needs. they subcontracted out my fence installation. their subcontractor subcontracted out the installation to a Hispanic company that could barely speak English. i showed them where to install the fence and the discussed with the crew chief who could seal some broken English to be careful not to hit any underground electrical. after they completed the installation, an underground utility guy showed up to make sure they didn't hit anything. ( 2 hours to late) I get home that night and I have no water. they hit the power line to my well. $1288 later , a well pump repair guy repaired their mess. lowes took no responsibility , had me send them my repair bill and cancelled check and then took no responsibility. I will never do business with them again and if you want to avoid a similar miserable experience. I highly recommend you avoid doing business with them at all costs. A tip if you're spending a bunch there: Go to the Pro desk and ask for the volume discount. You don't need to be a contractor to get the discount. I believe you'd need to spend over $2,500. We had this huge list of items, we weren't sure about everything we needed but Lori and the whole Pro Services Team went above and beyond to help us. We got an average of 12% OFF on all items we got. When you're remodeling, 12% OFF helps a lot! Not all the products were there at the time of the delivery. No problem, they sent the remaining items later on with another flat bed and NO delivery charge! All the items were well packed and the delivery crew put all the items inside the garage for us. Remodeling is stressful as is, so I highly recommend getting all your items with them. They help me managed everything from estimate, to payment to delivery. We also needed something custom. Our new door was smaller than the standard size. I had no idea Lowe's millwork department could cut and work on a custom door for us. AND ended up being cheaper than the standard size door. I like this Lowes. The workers are actually friendly, and you actually have about a 60% chance of finding an employee that can guide you to your intended destination. 60% chance is outstanding compared to Home Depot which I give a 10% chance of finding help. This store is clean, organized, and often much less busy than others in the neighborhood. Keep an eye out for sales on LED bulbs, Lowes sales will actually smoke Costco on price when it comes to LEDs. read more
