Made a quick stop here for a particular hanging plant. I sat in the parking lot and checked online and it mentioned there were plenty in stock. I walked right in and saw the plants inside the store as well as in the garden area. Quick purchase at self-checkout and I was on my way,no issues there. My experience was great--they had what I needed, the app led me to the right aisle and bay for more than 15 items, the self checkout processed my military discount, and the ladies watching the door were friendly and helpful near closing time. I'm not sure what all the low marks are about for this store, but my experience was as good as home (Madison, Alabama). Very displeased with the service we received, not going back. They only have one person working in each department at all times and then most of the time no one is able to help you until an hour later. Then when they do get to you, they have no idea what is going on with shipments or when you will be able to get the item you paid for. I ordered a washer & dryer on Friday and paid for it and it is now the following Wednesday and my husband and I have been up there 3 times with the trailer and they have no idea when we can pick up our washer and dryer. It is now Wednesday, and they have had me on hold on the phone for an hour and then when someone did answer they transferred me and put me on hold again. This is absolutely ridiculous, we have come to the conclusion that we are just going to get our money refunded. Very unhappy with the service we received. read more

I ordered a refrigerator that was received today for my new home. After finally getting the plastic off the refrigerator noticed a dent in the front of the refrigerator. I went to the store to fix the error and was told it would be 10-14 days to get a replacement. ****Door Installation Order Catastrophe**** Tony from Lowe's came out to my house to help me select a patio door for installation. My current patio door has the blinds on the inside of the glass which have malfunctioned. We ordered the door and I was told it would be 54 days from when I went to the store to pay for it before it would arrive. The third party installer came to my house and did measurements. I went to the store to pay for the door a couple of days later. That was on April 9th 2021. The total was $1,655.53. Not only was I excited to finally get the door replaced so that I could finally see out of both doors and not just one, but my neighbors would not have an eyesore of the brown paper over the window part of the door. Tony advised that a project coordinator would reach out to me and would take the lead from here on out. I did receive a call from a Jennifer who advised that the door would arrive a in a couple of weeks. I explained to her that it was not supposed to arrive for a couple of months. Her reply was that she always told people a couple of weeks. She stated she would get back to me and that if I had any questions I could just reach out to her. She never did reach back out on that subject. (No harm done as my expectations were already set for a couple of months) Fast forward to June 9th. I got a text from the third party delivery company "Spirit Logistics Network" who advised that the door would be shipped to my house on June 10th between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. I confirmed the shipment and made arrangements with work to be at my house by 3:00 for the delivery. Nothing ever came. I called Spirit Logistics Network and they advised that Lowe's had taken it off of the paper work from the store. I tried to call Jennifer but it just kept going straight to her voicemail. I left here a voicemail of concern as I wasn't sure what was going on with the delivery. I drove to Lowe's and the manager at the customer service desk advised that the door was at the store and that it would be delivered the next day. I got the text message from Spirit Logistics Network later that evening confirming the new delivery timeframe of June 11th between 12:30 and 4:30 pm. I worked out an arrangement with my boss to again go home early so that I could be there for the delivery. Nothing ever showed up, but Jennifer finally called me. She said I would not get the door until the 25th. I explained my concern with Jennifer and lack of confidence in her as every time I try to call it goes to her voicemail. (Which it still does). She said she was going to get into contact with Tony and call me back. Jennifer called me back and advised that the store was such a mess. They have had the door for a while, but lost the paperwork. We worked out a scheduling of the installation for July 12th. I also got a call from the installer who confirmed July 12th and that the installer would be at my house between 8:30 am and 9:30 am. On June 24th, I received the text message from Spirit Logistics Network who advised that the door would be delivered on the 25th. Once again, I confirmed the delivery and made arrangements with my boss to be at my house for the delivery. Well, the door never came. I reached out to Tony who advised that the delivery would be July 9th. I made arrangements with my boss to be home for the delivery on July 9th and also to be home on July, 12th for the installation. No door arrived on July 9th. Straight to voicemail when I called Jennifer. I decided to let it play out on the 12th to see, if by miracle, the installer would show up with the door. No door or installer on the 12th. No phone call from Jennifer, the installer, or Tony. I went to the store and received my refund from the assistant store manager and explained everything. Why Lowe's could not get a door delivered is beyond me. Heck I would have gone and got the door myself. LOWE'S SAT ON MY MONEY FOR 3 MONTHS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO PRODUCT TO SHOW FOR IT. I really need a door still and cannot figure out how to do so. Very sad and very disappointing. read more

It's a big box store, so your best bet of finding anything specific is to ask someone. The husband and I asked the cashier in the outdoor garden area where the pine straw was and she pointed us to some tractor trailers parked in the parking lot. As we headed that way, a guy (wearing a name tag, but not a Lowe's shirt or apron) intercepted us, and when we mentioned pine straw, he asked if we had already paid. Wait, what? Apparently you pay at the register and show your receipt at the trailer to pick up the product. Having just been to the register, this was news to us. After hiking back to the register, that same cashier could not have been any less friendly if she tried. Receipt in hand, we then went back *again* to the actual pine straw trailer where the guy grabbed the bales for us. Never mind that the cashier could have spared us a trip by actually communicating the first time around. So Lowe's, you might want to work on your employees' customer service skills, since buying a few bales of pine straw turned into a ridiculous literal back and forth exercise. We had a new washing machine delivered today. The employees cracked a PVC pipe putting the washer in. Now it's leaking everywhere and we've had the washer ten whole minutes. Then they just left all the trash in the yard and drove off. I wish I could give them zero stars, but I guess they earned one by only being two hours late. Usually these guys like showing up three to four hours late, right at supper time. So, kudos on being really late instead of extremely late. The employees were also surly and uncommunicative. It's not my fault you're delivering appliances, jerk. And for $700 you'd think they could open their mouths and speak instead of grunting and destroying property and leaving trash in the yard. Researched for a couple days comparing Washer & Dryer front Loader Brands. Always bought Maytag but never had the newer, upscale styles. My worry was all these new bells and whistles may be more trouble and for the high price, I wanted to avoid making this mistake. I found a W&D both front Loaders on sale at Lowes for 599.00 both had high reviews on every site I visited. So my heart was set. Went in to purchase and had to wait almost 30 mins for App.mgr guy to be located... While we waited, the very polite helpful guy in the next dept. ? Jeff? Older guy... helped us look around to locate the Maytag we were wanting to buy... as several others kept paging the appliance associate.... obviously he was the only associate in appliances.... (memorial day sale and you would think a back up person would be there but no associate anywhere to be found, kinda odd if they were expecting customers to actually show up to purchase as we did from their advertisements ) Just aggravating, other customers came waited and left... $$$$ walked out the door more than likely to Home Depot. We thought about it honestly but they didn't have the model Maytag I wanted or I would have 10 mins in.... So, he shows up in a flash, told him I wanted the front Loader models on sale and if there were none in the warehouse, I requested he call and locate them from another store and Is go and and prepay. .... He said they have been out of stock and on back order since the first day of the sale and no where in Al had any and he couldn't promise if backorder would even be avail in June... like my heart absolutely broke, and yes I love to do laundry and it's a huge purchase for us and did so much research and now all that was for nothing. My first mistake was I believed what he told us that there were none avail. He just pushed us on what he said was a better W&D it was Maytag. I told him I washed a lot for a huge family and covers, quilts and was it as b ig as the other Maytag washer for bedding. He said of course. Once again, HE LIED. Now, the pair he sold us was delivered and my first load was baby bed sheet and comforter. It would fill with water nor agitate... Called to have them pick this up...both of them... Went into store next morning, spoke to Emily? I explained everything, she apologized, she said ma'am, that is a water conservation unit... so he pushed that on me just to go to lunch... literally, he spent less than 7 mins including running my visa... He walked away with a book under his arm, waving bye gone to lunch... told her this... She apologized again then told her about the set I really wanted but he told me nobody has any anywhere... Then she got upset, She said ma'am, did he check anywhere for you, I said no, he said they were on back order though end of June.... She picked up phone called Hoover, asked if they had my Maytag front Loader set they had SEVERAL. She said great, put one aside with her name on it and she said her drivers would pick up the next morning..... That is taking care of your customers and having initiative to go the extra distance to get the task done. She has every excellent work ethics and good character. The other guy should not be working with people especially in sales because he wants to only sell what's easiest for him even if he has to lie and talk good hard working folks into buying something they don't need. If you purposely defraud a customer by a non truth to encourage a sell that is easy and quick just to get out of doing the job you are being paid for you should be fired. This created double and triple work on all the other hard working employees at Lowes. I guess everybody has a bad apple, he sure is a lazy one!!!!! I have 4 stars because the Mgr. Landon once I finally got to speak with him, was very professional, kind and took care of our refund. I truly wish I could remember all the emoyees that I've spoke with over the last two weeks, customer service, Delivery guys, Jim, and cant remember her name, Delivery Mgr.... (2 weeks without a w& d) because those worker bees are the reason I still shop at Lowes..... BUT customer BEWARE if anyone refuses to call other stores just as a courtesy, don't purchase anything.... Worst customer experience I've ever had. I ordered a gas stove for my mother in Cuba AL online. Therefore I ordered it online from Meridian MS because this was the closest for this delivery address. Free delivery and the old stove to pick up for $20 on a Saturday. Confirmation came by email. 2 days prior to the delivery I got a phone call from Lowes Tuscaloosa ?? to confirm delivery date and time. Because I was wondering they called instead Lowes Meridian I asked the Lady to confirm the delivery address. She said the delivery address is Tuscaloosa . I told her that this is not the delivery address what I was requesting and told her the correct delivery address is in the confirmation email. "Oh yes sir you are right it's Cubs Al but we don't deliver there".... Correct but that's why I ordered it from Meridian.... Oh let me talk to my manager... The manager told me again "we don't deliver to Cuba". Yeah I got that but your guys screwed up ... Yes we apologize but we can't deliver it. Ok than I suggested to get a small trailer from Lowes for free to bring the stove to Cuba by myself. No I can't do that was the answer. Of course I canceled the whole order and went to Home Depot. Really like Lowe's in the spring especially, but unfortunately discovered a major flaw in their roofing program. Lowe's works with an outside person, Tony, to hire roofing contractors to install the products. When I discovered my six year old roof was leaking in at least three places and had been for quite some time, Lowe's directed me back to Tony, so I called him. He said that the warranty on the labor had expired and the company that did the install was out of business. But he would have his current contractor call me so we could find what the problems are. Spoke with Tony twice, friendly and assuring, but never heard from the contractor. Went to Lowe's and spoke with a manager. Again, friendly and reassuring. The manager contacted Tony and he said he would contact his guy again. After three weeks I got in touch directly with local contractors, quickly found out the problems, and now have over $2000 of repairs scheduled. Major cause: improper install, not following the manufacturer's recommendations. Both Tony and the roofing contractor saw what was happening and let it go. I don't think it's a scam, necessarily, but I do think Lowe's offer to "let us help you with your roofing needs" is a flawed program on the consumer side. Everyone on the sales side can step back and shrug. Use a local contractor, not Lowe's, for your home improvement needs. read more

Been going through a $20,000 kitchen remodel handled by Installed sales department in Tuscaloosa Alabama. PLEASE PLEASE for your sanity sake never allow this place to manage installing a nail for you much less anything else. No communication with you or their contractor's , absolutely no followup with contractor's they employ or you, and they get your money upfront and forget about you. I have had to literally beg for help just to get them to get something done over the last three months. I have had my cabinets in and ready for the counter top for over a month and basically nothing has been done in the last three weeks. It is amazing the number of excuses and its not our fault you get. No mischievous five year old could do better. And if you call the Contractor's direct they are totally surprised you are waiting on them. You honestly get to know the Contractor's on a first name bases and make friends because the two of you have to work together so much to get something done. Forget the idea of getting a Manager involved they promise to fix and hang up and you never hear from them again. Never written a review like this before but run out the door and find someone who will do their job. A NIGHTMARE!!! There is a reason there is LOW in LOWE'S. read more
