Came to this location for split rail fence posts and rails. This was the only location that had enough in stock to replace our old fence. Love that you can check online to see what's in stock and what aisle the merchandise is located in. We would have opted for store pickup, but we wanted to pick out our own boards. I'm glad we did because this late in the season left many curved and split boards that we wouldn't have been happy with. This store was clean and had plenty of employees available for questions. Went in to buy a custom blind and no one was available to take an order. Waited for an associate and no where to be seen. As I left I saw a bunch of them hanging around the customer service and paint area. I ran out of time on my lunch and called the store and it was a pain getting through the AI operator. It kept hanging up my calls. Finally got through to getting forward to customer service and phone was ringing for almost 5 mins and no one picked up. Just got a call from Lowes "customer care" person. Yikes, there was very little "care" involved. I got schooled about their "policies" and every sentence started with "Unfortunately...." When she asked what I "wanted" I replied, "as a customer, to be treated with more respect." When I mentioned that I have been a customer for years and used to love shopping there, she just kept asking me what I "wanted." I usually use HD, but decided to try Lowe's since they had cheap top soil. I placed an order online for a few items to start one of my many landscaping projects. I picked them up curbside, but when I got home, I noticed that one of the bags of sand was busted open. The way it was plastered on the side of my car, higher than where the bag was, means that the associate knew it was busted open and loaded it anyways. There was sand everywhere in my car and will never come out of the cloth seats. I took pictures and sent them to the online rep. He said I needed to return it in store and refused to process the $6 refund. I then called the store and they said they wouldn't refund it without the product. So now I have to load the busted sand bag back up in my car and drive the 30 minutes back to return it. I'm just going to return everything I purchased because that is absolutely ridiculous. I think I can say about Lowe's he stays as if they're consistent. Consistently poor that is. Their staff is not well trained and not there to serve the customer. I simply asked to have my phone number changed on my account because my landline has been discontinued. At first they said I had to do it online. Next they said I have to go to the builders department and they could do it. As it turned out it was quite simple to do. I was shopping for some wire rack shelving and a simply needed to get two of them cut to size. The staff member said that somebody stole the cutter so they can no longer cut their wire shelving. I've been going to this Lowe's at least a year, can't say enough good things about everyone I encounter here. I am always greeted with a smile, and offers to help find things. I got my kitchen designed by Mia in their design department and the results were beyond any dream we envisioned. Mia listened to what we wanted, and made suggestions that also took into consideration the safety of our son who has disabilities. Our kitchen included everything we asked for and more. When the FloForm countertop installers refused to pay for a mistake they made, Lowes stepped up and made it right which was very appreciated. I still can't believe this is our kitchen. read more

I like the store and their employees. However, I do not like to l their rewards program. In the past year, I've purchased a washer, dryer, refrigerator, ceiling fan, over $700 fixing me deck as well as a lot of other smaller purchases. . When I decided to use my rewards, I had $10 off. Yes, only $10. I now go to Home Depot first. I would rather them not have a rewards program than to be so cheap. It's not right to feel taken advantage of by a big store. read more

At this store, I was told that the Lowes website is wrong. The store does not take compact fluorescent bulbs and rechargeable batteries for recycling. The helpful young person behind that counter said he had let his manager know about this error. I wasted a trip to Lowes. Fortunately, Home Depot is only a few hundred yards away. Home Depot is well set up to safely take these items for recycling. Bottom Line: Lowes management, get your act together! Quit with the greenwashing on your website. read more

All my five stars go to Brent, in Customer Service. I ordered exterior house paint samples online. My painter scheduled our project soon and we finally had the time to paint a few test swatches on our outer wall. Unfortunately, whomever mixed my paint, from my online order (in Kansas?...what??), gave me 5 jars of the SAME color. Called Lowes and had the very good fortune of speaking with Brent. Rather than leaving me to deal with it, or telling me to have the "online Lowes" take care of it, he sprung into action. He understood the urgency of the issue and that we were under the gun to choose colors. Brent worked the problem until he had a customer-focused solution. We brought back the incorrect jars of paint, received an immediate refund, and had our new paint mixed....took about 15 minutes total. This kind of customer service just does not exist anymore unless you are lucky enough to have Brent on your team. Many thanks to Brent for being the solution. (*minus stars for Lowes, and other companies, who consider in-store and online purchases separate entities. A customer should be able to return items in-store, even if they were purchased online. We purchased a Bosch dishwasher this last summer based partly on the installation rebate from Bosch. The rebate process was problematic based in part on delayed product shipment. I reached out to Lowe's for help as the rebate time was about to run out - and they could do nothing to help. Then I called Bosch customer service after waiting 3 hours and they gave me another number that "handled rebates". That number was not valid. My message is to take any rebate offer from Bosch with a grain of salt and know you will get nothing in the way of help from Lowe's. This Lowe's appears to be a bit more "upscale" from the outside (red brick construction), but is just like every other Lowe's once inside. The store was basically dead on my visit, with few enough cars in the parking lot to make me wonder whether this location was still in business or not. Indeed it is in business, and the lack of customers made me feel as though I had the entire store to myself. As is typically the case, not a single employee throughout the entire store greeted me, asked if I needed help, etc. They did have the rubber O-rings and silicone grease I was looking for, so I was able to get my mission accomplished. read more

We had our washing machine go out unexpectedly and chose this Lowes after finding the new one we wanted because they guaranteed delivery in 2 days. We waited for the scheduled 4 hour delivery window and they provided no communication. We had to call them several times to check the delivery status, each time they told us it was just delayed. That evening, after us calling them for the fourth time to check on the status, they informed us we would have to call the next day to see about delivery. Still can't deliver today. They have already charged our credit card, but we still have no washing machine. If they couldn't get it to us in the requested time frame, we would have gotten it from somewhere else. I would think twice about ordering larger items for delivery from this store. read more

I had to purchase a new washer yesterday 5/20/24. I walked into Lowe's in the appliance department and was immediately greeted by Brandon Flock. He was amazingly helpful! He showed me what was best to buy, based on production and service maintenance. He provided information about delivery and removal costs, taxes etc.. Being the pessimist I am, I had to compare up the road to the competitor, let's just say the one that starts with an H... I walked into the H store and had to find someone to help me. I chased 3 people down to get some help. And they're pitch and service was horrific! I immediately drove back and knew who I could trust, Brandon! We wrote up the purchase and service contract and I was so happy! I thanked him and said you need a raise! There was also another gentleman that has worked there since September of 2008, he was in a wheelchair. He too provided a plethora of information on products and services provided by Lowe's. My partner had an interview at the Lowe's on Mill Plain in Vancouver which was set by a Lowe's recruiter. I drove because I also wanted to look at their sheds. He arrived early and about 10-15 minutes after the interview was supposed to begin someone finally came out to tell him the person he was scheduled to meet (he was told their name was Dylan) was on a conference call, couldn't meet with him and that they'd call him at some unspecified future time to re-set. This wasted an hour and a half of our time and a quarter tank of gas. I've never seen such an unprofessional, rude response - how is a conference call important enough to blow off a previously scheduled appointment and how was there no one else who could speak to him? You bet I didn't buy a shed there and I never will buy anything there, Home Depot's looking a lot better than Lowe's to me. read more

Just moved to Camas, from Gresham. My husband and I have visited this Vancouver store several times this past month and on every occasion the staff were rude and unhelpful. We were patient and kind while asking for basic customer service help, yet every employee acted like we were asking them to give up a kidney - rolling of eyes when we asked questions, ignoring of us - literally the employees staring off into space - while we waited patiently. On two occasions the employees specifically bypassed us to help others. On one occasion, I witnessed two employees bypassing my husband (a white male who also is a construction worker) to help more "ethnic" customers. They were friendly and helpful towards the other customers, but obnoxious towards my husband. I'd think they're discriminatory towards white males, except that I'm a Hispanic female (accountant). And I've been treated just as badly as my husband. We have never seen the store full of customers - it's a ghost town and now we know why. We have made a pack to never visit this store again. We will absolutely drive 45 minutes to Gresham if we ever need to visit a Lowes store again. read more

Errol was very helpful and told me he wanted to put eyes on it before I drove all that way. We arrived near closing time and the staff rallied together to get us rang up and loaded up; all with smiles and great attitudes - which are hard to find right now! Maren and Errol went the extra mile to break down the box and load components in our SUV when the oversized box wouldn't quite fit! Thank you Mill Plain Lowe's! Trish the manager was extremely unprofessional in handling our situation. We were told by one employee (Erik) we would get a 20% discount on our next purchase when we upgraded our Lowe's credit account to a pro account. Trish was aware of this, but said they would not honor this discount. Trish specifically said 'I know you were told you would get 20% off for upgrading your account, but that's not something we can do.' She proceeded to offer that 'you should yell at Erik (the employee who had offered the discount to upgrade) next time you see him.' Which is such a strange and unprofessional thing to say to compensate us for the inconvenience. Recently I was in the market for 24 appliances (4 kitchens). I shopped 2 appliance stores along with Best Buy, Home Depot & Lowes. Although pricing was similar between the last 2 stores-customer service was worlds apart. Steve in the appliance dept. was amazing to work with: the entire month of November was eligible for Black Friday pricing however he obtained even better pricing than I expected by running it through corporate. He generously accommodated our building time frame by delaying delivery until needed, and even worked with me on maximizing the appliance rebates. The cashiers were also friendly (especially considering my payment was a combination of 10 gift cards & a charge card. Kudos for their efficient handling of 6K in gift cards! What could have been a nightmare shopping trip was a joy. Pro tip 1: November & 4th of July are the best appliance sales of the year. Pro tip 2: The corporate discount pricing applies to just 6 appliances- so don't be shy about asking what discounts you might be eligible for. read more

Dave Edwards in plumbing is GREAT! We had a huge issue with our toilet and it needed a specific valve. While they didn't have the exact part I needed, Dave understood the importance of getting my toilet working quickly. He "made" a valve that would fit both fittings out of other parts to make one piece to install. He and the team took their time to ensure that the part would work. It was really relieving knowing that I was being helped by people who understood the problem and MADE a solution work. It was a great experience. These guys have awesome hours and all their people seem friendly and helpful every time I go.
