This review is specifically for the extra kind and helpful folks in the curbside pick-up department. Jamie (sp?) is likely one of the nicest folks around and when I ordered a few items waaaay larger than my tiny little eco-car could haul was supportive in trying to help me get at least part of my order home. When I followed up to request a return for the remaining over-order amount I got to speak with them again and confirmed their super kind human status. This HD is not close to my home (was just the closest to have the item I needed in stock), but if I ever needed to place a curbside order I would absolutely consider traveling the extra distance for the professional and quality customer service read more

Garden Door Closed earlier than told. I talked to the garden register at 7:52p to ask what hour the door will be closed. She said 8pm. So I went fast to pick up the 3 things needed ( peet moss, compost & dirt) when I go back to the register I find the door closed NOT 8 yet! You know the standard floor plan of these stores. I had to pull my heavy load all the way to the other side of the store, then get my car all the way at the garden side to load. BTW: Who I find in the other side of the store? To my convenience, when I walked into the store, the grill section was literally in the first isle. The selection was great due to the variety that was available. Covid guidelines are up to date. I reached out about a third party delivery company, Rocket Delivery, that they contract with. They are using third parties, of course, but this one is located in a residential neighborhood. Since they contracted with home depot, they started to run 24 hours 7 days a week, in a residential neighborhood. Our area cannot withstand the traffic this business has brought to our narrow tiny road. We have one way in and out of the area, and this third party company is creating a dangerous area where children live. Home Depot says they cannot help, doesn't matter if the companies they contract with create danger, pollution, and excessive traffic in a residential area. The contractor, Rocket, is forcing drivers to use private protpert and to block public streets in order to deliver to a spot meant for a van or box truck. The area was originally the office parking lot. It was never meant for semi after semi 24 hours a day. One night the driver was so drunk I finally called police after 4 hours of him being unable to park, and almost coming into my kitchen. He would have demolished our condos and killed someone. Home Depot has no Safety Department, since they are not delivering, and therefore, does not care about what the companies they contract with do while representing Home Depot. According to Home Depot, "Not our problem" . Sooooooo..I guess since HD got your $$$$ they could care less with who is delivering....be ware. Hopefully the drivers they contract with are sober and knowledgeable enough to not crash into your home. They do so much for the community....side eye.... read more

Great to see Home Depot accepting Compact Fluorescent Bulbs (CFLs) and rechargeable batteries for recycling. These both contain toxic chemicals and should not go in your trash or your regular recycling. Home Depot makes this important recycling easy by providing individual bins just inside the entrance. I received a email delivery confirmation from Home Depot's chosen carrier, however, it was not delivered to my address. I reached out to Home Depot and received this response; "I do apologize for this experience with your delivery Joel! Due to this item showing delivered by the carrier you would have to file a claim with the carrier and dispute the charge with your bank." This location seems larger than it actually is because it is longer than most, but is also comparatively narrower. Its selection of lumber appears to be larger than their other Vancouver location, and seems to be far better-staffed (insofar as the number of on-hand staff is concerned). When I called her on it she said I had to go to customer service to get a refund. No apology just very matter of fact. If I had scanned my items this would not have happened. Hired Home Depot to do a 1500 square foot flooring job in June 2023. The subcontractor they used abandoned the job after pulling up all of the flooring. In the process of the demolition they damaged walls, cabinets, and their tile removal destroyed a number of sections of subfloor. Despite the circumstance, I would say the biggest benefit is that I will no longer have flooring contractors showing up at noon and working until 10pm against my permission, sitting on my furniture and watching YouTube videos for the first 6 hours of every workday, and taking photos of my personal belongings. I've been to many stores, and going into place like Home Depot never excites me. Although Harbor Freight is one of my absolute favorite places to go. Tonight I needed to make the journey into Home Depot which is generally reserved for well the men. No that isn't being at all sexist! It is what it is! However I was pleasantly surprised! Every single person working was so nice and helpful! Even the other customers were super friendly! As I said Harbor Freight Tools is my HAVEN, but I could also get used to Home Depot too! And BONUS Home Depot is open later! Just a tip for all those women out there who are into DIY & crafting, you can get just about everything you need and probably more at these places for a fraction of the cost! But I know some girls go for the pretty factor, but remember just because it's all dressed up and more expensive doesn't mean it's better! What's the point of DIY? Bought brand new Refrigerator, Washer & Dryer from this location 2 months before moving into my new home. When I learned I'd be moving 1-week earlier than expected I used Home Depot's phone system to reschedule delivery (because the website system didn't work). Despite receiving multiple confirmations through email and phone that the rescheduled delivery was set, the day before we were supposed to get our new appliances the freight company called to tell me they didn't arrive. I called Home Depot only to find out that despite the confirmations THEY had never notified the manufacturers of the new delivery date. I had to make multiple calls as nobody followed up with me about the problem. Their only solution was to send a floor model refrigerator to my house (3 days late) to use until they could deliver the new appliances a week late, on the original delivery date. Next, their contracted appliance delivery people installed the washing machine with the drainage hose lose, and flooded both floors of our BRAND NEW house, causing roughly $20,000 in damages, destroying our floors and kitchen, causing an estimated 5 weeks of inconvenient repairs. Throughout the entire ordeal, Home Depot has failed to follow up on phone calls, or offer any store credit, refund, discount, etc... their response has basically just been "oops, sorry" If that's how customers who spend thousands of dollars at their stores are treated when they mess up, you should think twice about giving them your business... I know I won't be ever again. The single positive from the entire experience was Jim Dodson, the employee in appliances who had thorough knowledge of the products and was a great help with selecting what we needed. DO NOT ORDER APPLIANCES FOR DELIVERY!! I ordered mine 14 Feb, earliest delivery was 17 March. Got stood up!! No show for the delivery can (I took off work just to be home). Next available appointment was 2 weeks away. I told the customer service agent I will not take off of work again, and I need an afternoon delivery. They said no guarantees. Sure enough, 9 am this morning they show, I'm 20 minutes away at work. I told my son to open the garage door so they can start unloading the garage door so our 3 appliances can start to be unloaded. They just left. I would have been there before they were even done unloading. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks. I will never shop at Home Depot again. Ever. Ever. read more

It's the Home Depot. They have a fair range of materials and yard supplies with a good constant inventory that can easily be checked from your phone or computer before heading in. When I am looking for materials in the area they have been a reasonably priced option. It's a warehouse store, the experience is along those lines with some friendly staff, and a reasonably dog friendly environment. read more

Really bad customer service from the "Store Manager" I spoke to. It seems like it should be an easy process to get the items you purchased at the time you were told they would be delirvered, or the day after that, or the day after that. Now we are told we have to wait for their deliverers who have our appliances, and have not delivered them to return them to the store before the store will release our refund so we can go to Lowe's who will let us pick up our new appliances today. I can't sing the praises of this Home Depot loudly enough. They are awesome. I am in there weekly for supplies for my small art business and their staff is ALWAYS super friendly and helpful. Every time I need help, someone is there to give knowledgeable assistance with a smile. They definitely go the extra mile, from the cashiers, to the pro-counter to the floor staff... I feel like I'm in a corner hardware store with the amazing service I get. Many of the staff here even greet me by name! Horrible experience. I purchased an item over the phone that was used as a display, I was assured by two people that it was undamaged and came with a box. Later in the day I called to confirm my order was in its box and ready to pick up, a very nice younger guy answered the phone and didn't have an answer so he handed the phone to an older woman named Marilyn who had an attitude from the start of the conversation. She told me it was ready but didn't come in a box and I expressed that's not what I was told earlier. she cut me off to yell "no one told you that", which isn't true. I began to get frustrated with the conversation so I just asked for a refund to my card. She scoffed and laughed at me then said "seriously?". The return processed and I got no confirmation number, I'm just hoping to actually get the return back on my card. I'm disappointed at the lack of respect or customer service I received while staying perfectly polite with every employee I spoke with. After waiting for about 5 minutes and them not acknowledging anyone waiting I walked away. I ended up coming back and I politely said "can I ask you a question " the girl looks me dead in the eyes and says "what" I was in such shock I walked away. I found a manager told her what happened. After I walked away the rude employee said something to me and laughed. No joke I'll never shop there again. I seriously hope those two girls get fired. Paid a couple hundred dollars to have the dishwasher I paid you for be delivered and installed. The guy you sent refused to install unless I uninstalled our insta-hot. They two DO NOT share a water line, AND the Insta-hot can easily be shifted without disconnecting to give plenty of room to the line to the dishwasher. BUT, he refused to do the install unless I unistalled it. He was more interested in arguing and telling me how the Insta-Hot wasn't installed right (btw, that was Home Depot as well). I asked him who I could call. He said he already cancelled delivery and left with MY dishwasher. I've called and talked to your associates twice today regarding this situation, and still not resolved much less a call back to update me. I stopped in Monday 7/1/19 around 1pm. Got a few pieces of lumber for raised garden beds. I needed a few cut down the middle, and they were able to do that in the store with no wait. I headed to the garden department and picked up 4 bags of organic soil for 4.98 a bag. Also weed barrier for 12.00. Lydia( hopefully I remember her name right) in the garden area was super helpful. Actually everyone who was working was really helpful and approached me to see if I had any questions. I needed nails and hammer, got a good hammer for 11.98 and a box of nails for 3.28.
