As a frequent Hilton traveler, this Hampton by Hilton location was disappointing. I had booked a…read moreking suite, and when I got into bed around 11:30 p.m., I discovered the bed was broken. I ended up sleeping--or trying to sleep--in a "V" shape for the night. The front desk did move me to another room the following morning, which I appreciated, but they were unable to keep me in the same room category. I was traveling with a colleague who is a Silver member (I am Diamond). At check-in, the front desk attendant stated that complimentary waters were only available for Gold and higher members. This was awkward and inconsistent with my experience at virtually every other Hilton property, where Silver members are also offered water. Overall, this property has some opportunities for improvement, particularly in room maintenance and consistency with Hilton Honors benefits.

This is no ordinary Hilton and does not have (or isn't working- or ownership isn't investing) in those features. Deborah at the front desk is rude and unhelpful. You can only pay cash or charge items to your room (and the card on file) for snacks or drinks. For those traveling for business where you don't want your sodas charged to the company card, that's not an option here. Visit the gas station across the street. Entry ways with digital keys are labeled as "exit only" which is uncommon for this brand. So you find out when you get there and walk to them that you can't enter. And, forget those streaming services. Not available here. Some of this may seem trivial, but some folks travel for work and these pieces are important to us, and, they generally set Hilton apart from other brands.

Later we noticed evidence of past flooding on the lower rooms of the property in general. As other reviewer mentioned, a coffee maker was found in the room but no coffee or supplies are provided. We didn't feel it was that horrible though as there is an excellent coffee shop right next door and also a Big Lots store just steps away where you can find most anything that you need. The window curtain/shade in our room was torn and tattered. We had to climb on the table in the room to re-secure it to the rod so it could be partially closed. It was impossible to fully close the curtain for privacy (see photo). We ended up using a part of a newspaper to block the hole in the curtain. The desk and chair in the room was comfortable and easy to adjust. Entertainment consisted of a relatively new HD TV and a clock radio with no display dim control. None of the AC outlets in the room were easy to access and there were no USB power outlets like found in most inns that were either built or remodeled since 2010. I can't think of another inn or hotel that we have stayed in that is this lacking in access to power for device chargers, etc. The room doors are exposed to the parking lot and are hardly soundproofed so it seems like you are camping out instead of staying at a hotel. Actually it was worse than camping out because generally when camping you don't hear roaring motors, slamming doors and people screaming at each other from the top floor to the parking lot until the wee hours of the morning. We were not impressed by the "complementary" breakfast items and ordered at the nearby McDonalds instead.

Let me start by saying this, yes, the hotel itself needs a facelift, but it was bug free, clean and…read morequiet, not to mention very affordable. The employees there are AMAZING, especially the front counter clerk, Zack! The employees there will go out of their way to make sure you and your belongings are taken care of. They also feed several strays and show kindness to them. (Which shows character) I love how the location of the hotel is within walking distance to local restaurants, car wash stations and plenty of shopping for everyone. Everything from big name brand stores to Goodwill. I will absolutely stay here again. I loved the mountain scenery and the crisp weather. Thank you Days Inn for all that you did for my husband and I!
