Fortunately for me, I spotted hand-made purses in front of his store one day. It astounds me that this highly skilled and detail-oriented artisan is not well-known in the Indiana area. John "Jack" Tocci has a passion for restoring furniture from days long past. I hung onto Grandma's chair for several years. This piece of furniture was about as beat up as it could get. It belonged to my Grandmother and fond memories were attached to it. No way was I going to be talked into letting anyone haul my family history to the dump. It was a huge dilemma. John is somewhat of a perfectionist with restoration. I was asked to come in to choose fabric in the beginning. When I arrived, John had chosen rolls of material to choose from that was reminiscent of the period. He explained the advantages and disadvantages of each fabric based on years of experience. John is amazingly knowledgeable about fabric, wood, and types of fasteners. I know nothing about "old" furniture so I may not have given the man justice and that's why I posted pictures.

He said he couldn't fix anymore and would have to make a new ring. My mom passed away so I called to see if he could possibly put a rush on it. This was after having for 5 months. That is when I found that it was sent out.....he wasn't even making it. My ring was not even in PA. When I did finally get to pick it up-it was NOT MY RING AT ALL. Total different design. Main diamond was set down, wider setting, with a thinner band. Did not match my wedding bands. Gary said he would have to send away again. Told me it would take 3-4 weeks. After 5 more months, I FINALLY got a return message. I went yesterday to pick up. NOTHING was done at all-NOTHING in 5 months. He claims that he sent it to several different jewelers in New York and they all said the same thing. It is good as is gets. Gary argued with me, told me that he new I would be unhappy. When I said what did you expect, it wasn't changed. Terrible customer service. Slow production. Doesn't listen to the customer. Does what he wants. Not even sure if they are my diamonds. Heart is broken!!!
