I had a Jacaranda that needed to go. It was diseased and was at risk of falling on my neighbors house in a storm. I received a mailer from Loyal Tree Service and gave them a call for a quote. Ben the sales manager came out pretty quickly and gave me a quote that was honestly pretty good. $750 to cut down (it was a 20ft tree, see pictures below) and $850 to cut down, grind stump/root and haul away. I asked for the written quote of $850. I asked about methods of payment, cards, cash, zelle, etc were all accepted. I had received a number of other quotes ranging from $1500-$3000. There was no question they had the best price. Ben offered me a removal date for the next day (Friday). I was still waiting for another quote but it never came. Ben reached out to me late at night (9pm +) letting me know the date was still open for Friday. I went ahead and took it. The team came the next day, they were almost 2 hours early . They got to work. Everything started out ok until they started cutting some of the outer branches and it was hitting my neighbors house. The last foot or so. They were not controlling the branches with ropes. They had a bucket truck and full access to the other house. There should have been ZERO reason that any branches hit the house. Luckily the gutters did not get ripped off but I was not happy. The limbs were allowed to crash into the bushes below which are NOT my bushes. I had to say something to one of the guys about being careful not to hit the house with the branches and not destroying the bushes on the property line. They continued to cut down the tree and unfortunately they were not very careful with keeping the branches out of my flower beds. They broke one of my newly planted plants and then in another garden bed were stomping around like everything in there was a weed. I got VERY upset and had to say something two more times about being careful and to get OUT of my bed. It is clearly marked as a bed My husband is a botanist and has an area where he was growing plants in the piper genus that he studies some of which don't even have a full species designation and no way to replace if they were damaged. They got the tree down and then piled everything up nicely on the street. They ground the stump down and it was done well I have no concerns there. They cleaned it up nicely. I asked when they were going to remove the tree they said tomorrow (Saturday) possibly today (Friday) since it was early enough. Ok sounds good. It came time to pay and I asked how they do it I have a card. They then said, that only the tree can be paid by card not the haul away that has to be cash. I told them that's not what I have in writing. They called the sales manager. He tried telling me the same and I had to remind him I specifically asked them how payment can be done and there was NO mention that the haul away had to be in cash and he gave me a written for $850 including haul away. Credit cards accepted listed on the form. He said the same thing that it would be hauled away today (Friday) or the next day (Saturday). That's ok. He said he would have the office call me. I asked him to send me an invoice via e-mail. I sent him the e-mail address. I get a call the next day (Saturday) to pay. I told them the pile was still there and wanted to know about pick up. I was told they don't pick up on Saturday. It would be Monday. They weren't sure why I was told possibly Saturday. I paid $750 as they did cut the tree down but I wasn't happy about having the pile still out there. I did not want to pay until the pile was taken but felt somewhat pressured to pay. Monday rolls around and the pile was still out front. Tuesday morning and it's still there. I call the office Tuesday and am told they will reach out to the sales manager and the owner and that I would get a call back. I did not get a call back on Tuesday. I did not get a call back on Wednesday. The pile was STILL there Wednesday. I wake up Thursday morning and the pile is gone. I get a call from Loyal Tree Office Staff and tell them the pile is gone. I go to pay the $100 for the haul away and they try telling me it is in cash. I had to AGAIN tell them no that's not what I have in writing. I have $850 total including haul away and no mention that it had to be in cash. She took the card. They do charge a 4% service charge for any cards so do keep that in mind if you use this company. I did let her know how unhappy I have been with the overall pretty horrific communication with this company and then the job the guys did with stomping all around my bed and how I had to say something three times to them to be careful. That I was not getting the call backs I was supposed to have gotten. She said that the office doesn't do the call backs it should have been the sales team either Ben or the Owner. I was told that the messages had been sent to them but they never responded. read more

This company was recommended by our neighbor . They came to our house charged us over 4K . The job was sloppy and not complete . The trees were barely trimmed. They left a mess in our yard. We called several times for Mr Venturi to come out and look at what was done and complete the work. every time he said he would come out , he never showed up . we finally gave up and paid our regular lawn guys to clean up after them. The crew who did the tree removal and stump grinding of our tree were amazing. The sales team not so much. The team would argue over pretty much everything. Couldn't give time frames on when project would be complete. Addional work was requested but never agreed upon and that turned into a back and forth. The crew cut down the tree and left the debris sitting out front for 3 days. Sales team was arguing for payment I said no because the removal was part of the contract and it wasn't done. They finally showed up and picked up the debris. So it's safe to say I would use the crew who did the work again but would not work with the other team in the future. read more

There were a few things at the end that needed additional cleanup that never got done, but it was such a big job, I let it go. It was pure luck that their reps were in my area and knocked on my door with a promotional postcard and an offer of services. I showed them the trees that needed to come down and they came back with the manager a couple hours later to offer a very reasonable price with explanation and availability to do the job within a few days. A formal agreement was sent to my email outlining everything. My follow up questions were addressed promptly and with zero pushiness to accept their services. After shopping around and getting more expensive quotes, I proceeded with Loyal Tree Service. They called in advance of showing up and we're apologetic that they'd be slightly delayed (roughly 1/2 hour) from another job. The crew was diligent, organized, skilled, and careful not to cause damage to the surrounding landscaping or structures. James, the owner, was there himself making sure everything went smoothly (just because the foreman happened to be on vacation). The nicest guy! 4 trees were taken down efficiently, stumps were ground, and debris was piled by the curb for pickup. They were working next door to my house so I asked them for a qoute. It was 700.00 agreed on 600.00 for four branches and a palm tree 3 on the side of the house and one over the driveway. I paid them cash and went to my granddaughters 1st bday party. On returning I saw they had not cut the one over the driveway and the other ones looked like a monkey with an ax cut them. When I called to find out what happened and wanted them to come back and finish the job. They told me the next time they were in the area they would look at it with no date or timeline given but there would be an additional charge. They were rude and and raised there voice with me on the phone. In my opinion if you hire these clowns you should be ready to be taken advantage of. Don, the on site manager explained the process to me of exactly how they were going to remove a monster Pony Tail Palm that had to have been 40 feet high with a circumference of 6 feet wide. Also he explained how they were going to cut the palm up, move it to the street & clean up afterwards. They came prepared with a lot of machines & tools & went to work. The Palm was down & being sawed into pieces in a precise fashion. These chunks must have weighed 300 lbs. apiece. They ran into issues that were addressed quickly & safely. i was worried about trees falling during hurricane,called loyal tree they responded within the hour. i showed them the 2 i wanted taken out, they advised one only needed trimming it would not hit the house. they came back next day, it was amazing how fast they get up a tree. i never felt like they were sales men, they were totally honest. they put what we felt was all trash trucks would pick up by the road, broke all limbs up and put the rest in bon fire pit, clean up was superb, price exceptional. i highly recomend these guys read more

They told me they work with SWA and would cut to spec so it would be picked up. However, they left me with a huge mess and one that is too big for pick-up so either I pay them 200 more try and bribe the SWA driver with a 20 or clean it myself. The original price quoted for the removal of an extra large tree in front of our home was very competitive, so we decided to use Loyal Tree. Then we were told it would it would cost an extra $200 for a third party to haul the debris away. Then an additional $200 for an arborist report which was required to remove the tree. We agreed reluctantly to these additional charges. The crew that took the tree down worked very quickly and were rough on our lawn and driveway. The tree was cut down on a Friday and a mountain of debris was left at the curb with a promise that it would be removed by Saturday. A haul away truck finally came on Tuesday but was only large enough to take half of the debris. Then I was told it would cost us another $200 for a second haul away truck. Fortunately I had not paid their bill in full on the day of the job as they had requested, so I refused to pay the balance until after they paid to have the rest of the debris hauled away several days later. They also left a small mountain of debris from the grinding of the stump which they told me after the fact was not included in the debris removal, and that they normally charge hundreds of dollars to remove the stump grindings. Promised a lot, but did not deliver. Damaged my new sod, broke my new wooden fence, broke two tree lights, and one sprinkler head. Even though they were instructed not to pile the debris under the oak tree in the front yard, they did.
