Truthfully, I felt the need to come on here because I've definitely been working with Rolando now for quite a while, and I can't even begin to describe how he is such an incredible human being to work with. Owning a vacation rental property, I truly have nightmares about my pool heating or pool system going down because it has happened many times. Wouldn't recommend this service . Didn't even start out good kept him for 13 months. Came home from vacation and my clean out by the pump had so much in it the pump was struggling to run. He said he had cleaned it. But when I hired him I told him I had cameras I looked back and I was the last person to clean it. Had multiple talks with him about using his own equipment but his equipment was not working properly most of the time . Looking at my camera again I noticed they never brushed the bottom of the pool. The owner said it was black mold blamed it on me when I drained my pool I didn't acid wash. I went and brushed it a few times turned out it was just dirty from no brushing. Started out great. Rolando was a one man show who got the job done. Then the problems began. He changed my pool cleaning schedule day twice but then had excuse after excuse for not showing up. Then he had a couple of family emergencies but didn't communicate another no call - no show again, but I understood. I then received a text from his wife who promised to be at my house the next morning before 10am but again no call or show. I received a text from Rolando saying his wife was incorrect of the time but he'd be at my house by 1 or before 4. I was not amused and told him so .He became offensive, telling me I had similar problems with other pool people he knows, that's not true, I've had one pool person for 6 years who passed away from Covid. Then other innuendos were made, excuse after excuse for not keeping his schedule. To be honest, I was willing to forgive and move on but he started blaming his scheduling difficulties on me! I have a birthday pool party scheduled and he continued to change the cleaning time only to blame me for not informing him about the party!, like that would've made a difference with his failed attempts to show up when scheduled. After attempting to defame my character by saying his sister-in-law lives in my community and knows all about me and my "tactics" while proceeding to boast about having a contractors license (that's in probationary status for some reason) and being untruthful about not having a certified pool operators permit which is required in our state, I fired him. I'll be filing a complaint with the Contractor's State Licensing Board and Yelp Business to prevent other consumers from having to be disappointed as I was. He doesn't deserve one star and needs a lesson in business ethics. UPDATE; I've never had a vendor or contractor call me a "liar" it just goes to show how disrespectful this man is. Nobody deserves to be a victim of name calling but here it is. As for his licensing with CSLB under probationary status, well, here it is. He's been untruthful about firing me, because then I certainly would've included that in my review as I've never heard of a pool man firing a customer but desperate times call for desperate measures. This review is all about service, not "he said - he said" but he's upset because he lost a good account. In closing, my house is 6 miles from the freeway, we don't get sand debris, just leaves from our bougainvilleas and an occasional bird drowning in the pool during one of those hurricane wind storms he's talking about, jeez, what a fiction writer. He didn't care about my once a week account and didn't care to show up when HE scheduled. That's it in a nutshell. The test is pure drama and fabrication. You talk about your guys but there was only you & you told me it would always be you servicing my pool 1 other guy showed up & I had never met him before. I have proof from the management team along with security that you never turned in the required paperwork for continued entry into our community so that's another lie by you! I recently completed construction of a brand new pool at my investment property and was in immediate need of pool service. After reaching out to several contractors on yelp, Rolando was quick to e-mail me with an estimate for monthly service. The quote was very detailed and listed all of the services offered and cost. He was very responsive to my questions via e-mail and also stopped by for a site visit at my request. He has been servicing my pool twice a week for the past month, and I really appreciate the service reports he sends after each visit. He not only cleans the pool and spa but also performs water testing to ensure proper chemical balance. Photos of the pool before and after each visit are provided with the service reports. I am very impressed with the software he uses to track and record each service as I am able to review and store these records and also gives me peace of mind that my pool is being properly maintained. Invoices sent monthly also help remind me when payments are due and I am able to easily track my receipts. Rolando's pricing is fair and the service level has been great so far.
