We had this pool service for two years warning! If they replace or do repairs get details ask for receipts for your records our salt cell was replaced (new) with a refurbished used one. Needless say he didn't make it right and denied saying someone else did it. Just a word of caution. I am removing my negative review. The owner of J.A. pools came this morning and made good on the installation of the salt cell. My pool needed major remodeling and repairs. I got quotes from different companies but decided to go with Jose. Not only was his quote reasonable compared to the the other ones but also his warranty on the job and materials was better than the rest. Communication was great! Jose was always available to answer my questions and calls. I don't live in the property but he kept me informed through the process, sending pictures and videos. I had hired JA Pool Service to re-pipe and relocate my pool equipment.  After completing the work, I had reported an issue with not being able to remove the salt cell connection because when they installed it, it was over tightened and I could not remove in order to clean.  I had contacted Jose to come back out to un-screw the salt cell and he said he had done it but I still could not unscrew and remove the salt cell.  Attempted to get him back out to resolve the salt cell issue several times with no response!  JA Pool Service advertises: CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEED Customer Satisfaction is our number #1 priority. We treat our customers like family. Our customers are very satisfied with our service.   But JA Pool Service did not provide "customer satisfaction" and I definitely WOULD NOT recommend using them since customer satisfaction IS NOT their number #1 priority! read more

I was in desperate need for a new pool man, my previous pool guy quit out of nowhere, and everyone I was referred to was booked! I actually saw his signage on his truck and followed him until he stopped....the green water in the pool was just too much! He arrived at my house before I did! I own a short term rental property in La Quinta. This weekend I happened to be out here when I was woken up at 5:34am by the pool cleaner. Not only was it super early, but it was still dark, so how is he thoroughly cleaning my pool? I timed him and he was done by 5:41am. Seven minutes to clean a pool AND a fountain. He must be super man! The point of this review is to save you from businesses who are dishonestly charging you $200 for 7 minute visits, just because they know the owner isn't around. My regular pool service was excellent...until they dropped of the face of the earth for unknown reasons....he refused to get a COVID vaccination so maybe he got really sick...who knows. So my pool began the "green thing" JA quickly arrived same day when I asked for emergency one time cleaning and a quote. I accepted the bid and things were great for about two months. Then the time of service was changed without approval. Then the technician was changed. The new tech started leaving his pump and filter at his truck and instead used my pump and filter to vacuum. No pool service should ever do that because the residue in the filter simply turns into food for algae. It is a cardinal rule of pool service to use separate filters. Communication was not good either. read more

The owner is nice. However, when he sent his pool tech out -- it was clear that the tech was inexperienced. As a new client, I would expect the owner to come out the first time to get familiar with the pool and the equipment, not send someone he hadn't trained properly out. The tech left the garden hose with a kink in it I can't get out. Left mud all over the back gate walkway, spilling over into the neighbors' walkway after cleaning the filter. Left the filter leaking. When I called to let him know, he came out the next day, fixed the leak, and sent his tech to clean the mess later that day. No offer of replacement on my garden hose. Then, I get a text saying "I'm coming to clean your pool." Communication skills here are lacking and I get the feeling they don't really care about your business. read more

Jose was able to remove my old Pool equipment, replace it with new High tech pentair pool equipment which allows me To Control from anywhere via an app. He gave me a great deal and was done in less than a full day (8hours). Ricardo, the owner, is hands down the best in the valley. He has been maintaining my pool for over 2 years with perfection. He also is highly skilled at other services which he has done for me. Acid wash, pool tile replacement and removal of the calcium buildup just to name a few. He also repaired my pool deck plus painted it. He has installed an autofill for me and did maintenance work on my pool heater and replaced a leaking water valve as well as did a repair on my pool pump. Seriously he can do it all or knows someone who can. Ricardo is irreplaceable! And on top of that he is quick with communication, always keeps his word , is super reliable and has kept an eye on my house and any deliveries he has noticed when he arrives.
