This company installed granite countertops in my newly remodeled kitchen seven years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this at the time and ended up spending thousands of dollars repainting my cabinets, only to recently learn from another contractor that water had been seeping through the faulty seam all along, causing additional damage. When I contacted the company, they asked for $300 to reseal it, which feels unreasonable given that this appears to be an installation issue. I even offered to wait until they were working in the area, since it's a quick fix, but they were not willing to accommodate. I would recommend looking for a company that stands behind its work and provides better long-term support. Also, if possible, avoid placing seams near the sink--what seems like a minor detail can lead to significant damage over time.

From Leo the owner meeting with us after business hours to accommodate our schedule which set a great first impression. I worked with Rich whom I think it as the project manager there and I have to say, Rich hands down is the best project manager I have ever worked with. He was incredibly patient with me and helped me select the quartz countertops I wanted. He showed me a variety and I was not sold on most of them. He even did his own research using Pinterest pictures of what I wanted until he found the slab I've been dreaming of! Rich kept me informed along the way, texted/called back within minutes if I had a question. I changed my mind on the quartz slab 3 different times and he was incredibly patient. If you're thinking of renovating your kitchen, this is hands down the company you want to work with. What a dream team! The guys who installed the slab were great, and really took their time in installing the countertops, and cleaned them beautifully before they left and did not leave an ounce of trash behind. I was in need of a small piece of Carrera marble for a restored antique drinks cart which I was giving my wife for her birthday. It had been in her family for generations. I had been working with a marble and granite company in Waltham for months and at the last minute they doubled the price and extended the delivery deadline. I had also received universally poor experiences with several other fabricators in and around Newton, Watertown and Waltham and held out no hope that I would find any company in the business that was different. I called Stone Depot and spoke with Cynthia. Wow, what a difference. She was helpful and responsive and immediately sent me pictures of the Carrera marble slabs they had in stock. Her price was 2/3rds that of everyone else's, and she promised to have it fabricated in under a week. I drove down there, and we agreed together on the piece they would cut. 3 days later it was done and ready for pickup. She had pushed it through because of the fact that it was for my wife's birthday. I cannot recommend Stone Depot in Dedham enough. Cynthia is amazing and the team did a fabulous job delivering ahead of time. If you want to work with a company that is a delight, fabricates a fantastic product, and over-delivers on their promises then you should check Stone Depot out. You won't regret it.

But when Luis sent over the estimate, he included this; "We will make sure it fits before we leave." Smart man. And guess what, Luis was right. The wood on the cabinet underneath was not allowing the cook top to fit and it too needed to be cut. The men picked up the cook top a few times in order to try to see if it fits. Very personable, kind men. The only thing I didn't like was the dust but when you have to cut granite inside a house, it can't be avoided, unless they tape up plastic. But, you still get dust. The estimate was 275-475 and it completed the work for 325 cash. We are very happy with this company and would recommend them.

Jim helped design the kitchen in our new house, and had many valuable suggestions and lots of good…read moreinformation. We knew what we needed, and what we wanted, and what we could afford, and Jim did a great job making our kitchen better than we'd hoped for. The showroom is well stocked with samples of kitchen cabinets and hardware, so we could see at the outset how lovely our kitchen would be. In addition, Jim made other suggestions when we mentioned problems with our old kitchen, and the results were wonderful. For example, I didn't like the way I had been storing spices (in a deep drawer). Opening the drawer made all the spice bottles fall over, and it was hard to find just the one I wanted. Jim suggested a very narrow spice rack cabinet, and that has been a real blessing! Nothing falls over, everything is visible - perfect! Sharp knives were also a problem. I hated the huge knife block we'd been using - took up counter space, attracted dust - not a good solution. Jim was able to make me a pull-down knife drawer that fit under one of the upper cabinets, with a flat knife block in the center, so two knife blades can occupy each slot, their handles on the two sides. It was an ingenious solution, and we love it! Jim is also there for every installation, making sure everything goes just the way the client wants. It was a pleasure to deal with him, so much so that when we needed a large bookcase built for our living room, we again called Jim. There's not much he can't do!
