Let me explain, I am a professional woman with a high level of financial security. I am new to STL and a very qualified buyer. I was referred by a top agent from the KW REalty group in Denver (note: same company) After being pawned off on another team member (no big deal) I was finally ready to start my search... Again, I am new to STL and the housing dollar goes much further here than Denver so I opted to want to explore several neighborhoods/price ranges before I commit to a big house and mortgage. I have a generous budget for the Midwest. But again, I am a single professional woman with zero desire for a big home/mortgage. Despite my telling this agent that I really wanted to explore multiple price points, she continued to only send me listings at the high end of the range. OK, fine. SO I sent options back to her. And although we had a date to finally see a property (Near her so she wasn't too put out) she told the Denver agent that she didn't want to work with me because of the price points that I was considering. Isn't that some form of discrimination in this business? Seriously, I NEVER EVEN MET THIS WOMAN, but she was so concerned that she was going to have to pay a referral commission to my agent back in Denver (on a lower budget) that she discussed MY BUSINESS with the Denver agent, stating that she did not want to work with me because I was expressing interest in lower price points. Again, I NEVER EVEN SAW ONE PROPERTY! Talk about counting your chickens before they hatch! Anyway, here's the deal... YOU HAD A QUALIFIED BUYER! A GOOD salesperson would've shown me the silly little house that i wanted to see, PLUS 3 additional homes - better, more expensive homes. Use the Nordstrom Shoe approach - the customer asks for a simple black pump - the salesperson brings back two other pairs you may like! DUH! And keep in mind - I NEVER EVEN MET HER! She never showed me a single property, and I am a sure thing! I just moved here with a lease ending in August - I am not playing around! And PS, You don't know me or my situation in life, the potential next homes that I may buy or the future referral business that you may have gleaned from this transaction from both the original Denver agent and me. THIS IS A BUSINESS THAT SURVIVES ON REFERRALS! So In a nutshell, agents are a dime a dozen, find someone that meets your needs. I would absolutely not recommend Gabrielle De Hart with the Robb Group or anyone in this group considering that this is a best practice amongst this team. In an age where this profession is largely becoming obsolete, you would think they would actually try to keep potential lifelong customers happy.

Claimed I lied about my realtor contacting him!…read more My realtor and I tried contacting Mark and Becci to get more info on one of their listings which had been posted for 3 days and after several attempts and voicemails left we were unable to make contact with them. My realtor wanted to see if we could see it that afternoon or if there were already offers on the place. After being unable to contact them or schedule a time to see it I along with my realtor followed up the next morning. I went to their office and they were not there and the others in the space said they would leave a message to get back with me. I then tried calling from their lobby. When I finally got ahold of Mark he called me a liar about trying to contact him and trying to see the place. Also said he only would speak with my realtor even tho Becci and Marks numbers are listed on the Zillow posting. Additionally my realtor was not able to get ahold of them and left messages to be contacted. He proceeded to tell me again I had lied about trying to contact him and my realtor was a problem for him and he didn't want to discuss further with me. I asked if he could call my realtor back and he said that was not his job. I proceeded to end the call after being treated with ZERO respect! Do not trust this guy or his unprofessional team!

When I decided to purchase my first home I opted to go with Theresa Leland at CBG, the agent who…read morehappened to be listing the house I was interested in. She represented myself and the seller. I highly recommend a dual-agent. Especially if you have a time crunch like me. I had to be moved out of my apartment by July 31st, and she basically told me that it could be done, even though we were starting early July! I was cautious but decided to trust that it could be done. We also used US Title which is in the same office as CBG. We toured the house and met our agent and everything went well. It was the last house we toured and I decided "this is the one!" We told her we were serious about making a purchase and showed her our pre approvals. She made the process very easy to understand for me, a first time home buyer, which I really appreciated. I had to go out to her office a few times to sign some papers which wasn't too much of a hassle. The only issues arose when the seller wasn't communicating very well but that really wasn't her fault. She worked great with our lender who happened to be in Florida, not Missouri. She gave me pointers on scheduling the inspection and how to present my requests to the seller in the contract. There was a slight two day delay on closing but judging from stories I'd heard from others about home closings, this was nothing. We moved into our house in only a few days and everything went pretty darned smoothly. She even gave me a little present at the end of the closing which was really sweet of her (literally, it was for the chocolate shop next door that I tended to uh visit way too much when I went to sign paperwork!) ;P Overall, I'd recommend CBG. Yes, they do charge a "fee" of $250 which is really odd considering the agent doesn't even get that--and they call it a "commission" fee too-- but I was willing to overlook that considering the level of service we got. I'd highly recommend Theresa Leland as an agent. She will definitely go above and beyond to help you buy or sell a house!
