Longer than I'd care to admit, probably, and longer than anyone but locals calmer here for sure. The thing is, it's amazing. It's cheap, it's delicious, and it's consistent. Those are all of the factors that make me want to give a place five stars and Fu Yuan checks them all off the list. The menu is limited - they do what they do perfectly and don't bother to do other things half way. It's a stand, so no seating. Whatever. Order rice noodle rolls, order them again. Get all the sauce, get some of the sauce. You literally can't go wrong.

We ordered: -Curry fish ball rice noodle (L) $8: if filled up the whole quart container. Good portion. The mixed sauce ( including peanut butter) was good. Fish ball are ok. - beef stew rice noodle (L) $8.75: we asked for beef stew sauce instead of pb sauce. It was a bit bland. Beef stew was lean and on the drier side. Portion of beef stew was small but reasonable for the price I paid. - beef rice noodle roll (L) $7.50 : this is the best out of 3. Tender beef with thin rice noodle with adequate soy sauce based sauce. It took a while for the order to be ready. We told the lady we will return to pick up 10 min later. The lady was nice and knowledgeable about what she's doing. No receipt given to us but she recognized our faces upon our return. When we picked up our order, there was at least & persons on queue. Will definitely return and order beef rice noodle roll.

The simple push cart setup has a nostalgic charm and the owner, Sophie, is such a sweet lady, she reminds me of a familiar auntie. The buns were soft and the dogs had a nice snap to it. Best of all, they were just $2.50 a pop, I had to get two. Great food, amazing value and welcoming. Definitely going back for more!

Her old cart was hit from behind while stopped at a light near the firehouse. The GoFundMe raised money for her to purchase a new cart. She was out for about 2 weeks. She's back as of this weekend, 8-23-2026. Her service is always tops, she's a sweetie. It was a nice refreshing day to hang out at the park and catchup with Sophie. The new cart is a bit longer and wider than her old cart and runs a bit hotter. So she's still getting used to it. The hot dog was delicious. She is currently out of the onion sauce, her supplier seems to be out of it the past month or so. Her spirit is strong and she's so happy to serve and chat with everyone. Her special is $7 for 2 hot dogs, a drink and chips. She has a spicy sausage that I have not tried yet. Please keep stopping by and supporting this wonderful lady! Sophie is a local treasure. I want to find a way to help her with her signage and I am hoping maybe someone else has a line on some jars of onion sauce for her. Some of her customers are missing that topping! We also need to find a way to get her some protection from the elements. The umbrella is near the center on this cart, not protecting her like the old one did. Good food, great service, sweet lady. So glad to see her back up and running! Many heartfelt thanks to all who pitched in to the GoFundMe to help her out! Awesome community for an awesome lady.

I've heard so many great things about the cheong fun here and how cheap it is. I was recommended to go earlier in the day since they leave early or whenever they're sold out. Considering it's street food, take the cleanliness to your liking. My family and I got 5 different bowls and the total came out to $18 which is NOT bad at all. They offer soy sauce, peanut sauce, and/or chili sauce. Definitely only get the soy sauce for the protein options and peanut sauce + soy sauce for the plain one! Take it from me, my dad ordered all three sauces in all of our bowls and it was too much flavor mixing together in your mouth. Food: Plain Cheong Fun (8.4/10): The silkiest, softest cheong fun I've put in my mouth. You must eat this right away. This is not a take-home option because it will clump up together. Take it from me, I made the mistake of bringing this back on a 15 minute subway ride. Although I had to wait to enjoy, it was still delicious. Dried Shrimp Cheong Fun (7.6/10): I love a good dried shrimp and green onion cheong fun but this one didn't really hit the spot for me. I wish there was dried shrimp within the cheong fun. I maybe got a few pieces within each bite but those bites were still delicious.

Cash only! I wanted…read moreto try the Cheong Fun Cart for a long time, but never got the chance to during my other New York trips! This time I found the opportunity and am glad I can say I've been now! Its literally a small cart on the corner of the street intersection. There was a line formed and so we just followed suit. No place to sit to eat, so just be mindful of that - especially since the containers they give you the food in can be super hot! We ordered one fresh shrimp rice roll, and waited about 10 minutes for our food to come out. It is PIPING hot so it was hard to hold and eat, but we managed. The first few bites were delicious and the rice roll was super silky. However I felt like since it was shoved inside the plastic container, the rice roll keeps cooking in its own heat, and thus got overly goopy. Still, I enjoyed the cheap snack on the street, but have definitely had better long-standing rice rolls in NY.
