I've probably been this clinics most problematic patient lol, they've gone above and beyond for everything I've had issues with. From strep, to flu, Covid and even regular checkups. I love the nurses, the nurse practitioners and Dr Long especially. Good people and good experiences. Even through the crud, these folks have come through. I took my daughter in on October 4th and she tested positive for Covid and strep throat. They spent 10 mins with her to charge me $185. They never checked ears, throat, heart, lungs, pulse ox, blood pressure, NOTHING! They just did swabs for strep/covid/flu. Gave her an antibiotic without even checking that she had just had the same antibiotic a month and a half before for strep throat. They gave me a school excuse for her to return to school on Monday October 7th. On Saturday, the 5th, her fever spiked and she felt worse. She still had a low grade fever and was not feeling well. On Tuesday, October 8th, I called around 9"30am to get her Dr. Note extended through the 9th. I was told I could pick it up anytime before 6pm on the 9th. I had covid and strep as well, so I asked them if my son could pick it up and she said yes. I sent my son to pick it up at 445pm that day and they wouldn't give it to him. I called to find out why and they told me I had to bring her back in to be re-seen to get the note? For what? We already knew it was strep/ Covid! What more would they have done for her? They didn't do anything but swab the first time! Why didn't anyone call me earlier or tell me that at the time I called for the extension ? They knew I was sending my son to pick it up. My guess, that's how they can charge another $185 and file on my insurance for a 2nd time. No one gets over strep and covid in 3 days, and more so to expose everyone else at school to covid! Pretty sure this clinic cares more about $$$ than the health of the patient or the community for that matter. We will never go back. Oh, and Ashley, the 3rd person I talked to that day was so rude and dismissive. She tried to tell me it was a CDC rule that if symptoms don't improve in 3 days, they must be re-seen for a dr. note. I would say this place is not bad at all; the only bad experience I had was when I was in an accident. I needed to be checked out It took a bit, but they did see me and got me square away. Now the good I've been sick multiple times, and each time I have gone to Long's office. Everyone behind the front desk is nice and often remembers names off of a 1-minute interaction. The nurses have always been sweet and ask if I need a throw-up bag or if I need water. I can even open my door after throwing up and ask for a cup and get an "of course." They are very good people. Long is good at what he does; he is nice, very knowledgeable in many aspects, and overall a good man, which I respect. Kristen is one of my favorites; she is so sweet and knowledgeable as well; she was very helpful when I was sick as a dog with the flu. Last but not least, Stephanie is who I saw most recently. My coworker got COVID two days prior, and then I was feeling sick. She canceled out COVID and the flu and let me know it was probably just a bad stomach bug, and well, what do you know? She was right. It cleared up within about 2 days, and by the 4th, I was fine. Everyone here is highly educated and experienced, and personally, I will continue to go to Lubbock Cooper Health Center. read more

Charged me $125 office visit. I didn't see Dr Long, but one his PAs....she barely spent 5 minutes with me, confirmed I had fluid in my ear, told me to buy Flonase. That's it. Even after I told her my ear was hurting. NOT IMPRESSED read more

All in all a great facility! But their front desk receptionist ehh needs some help.. Went there with my mother yesterday for a visit and while we were there one of the receptionist was being really ugly and yelling at her manager! Not very professional if you ask me. I felt bad for the lady you could tell she was so embarrassed! While the manager is talking to her she storms off into an another room! All I'm saying is this new generation have NO respect. I'm not sure if this is the kind of people you want working for you. Poor manager looked stressed wouldn't be surprised if the poor lady never went back. I went here to establish primary care. Dr Long talked a good talk and seemed impressive. He ran a lot of tests that I normally would not have done. Three weeks later I'm still waiting to hear the results of these tests and any change in treatment. After 2 weeks I called and left a message with the nurses voicemail, no one called me back. A week later I called the front desk and was told she would leave a message with the nurse, still no response, but I got an email saying my statement was ready. read more

Established care with them 2-3 weeks ago and I just went back to get the BioTe pellets. Everyone is so nice and attentive. I've only been there a couple times but so far, I'm very impressed. Dr Long is great! He didn't rush me and listened to my concerns. And I can't remember the nurse's name from my first visit (to establish primary care at this clinic) but she was fantastic!
