This city ran utilities company boasts about being one of the 'most affordable, most reliable, and most respected' utilities company in the country... then why are they stealing from their citizens? Millions of dollars they are taking from us, and nobody seems to blink an eye. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. The stir of change was happening, and the last mayor felt the pressure so much that he refused to run again. Greed is running rampant and consuming elected officials. Something has got to change. This isn't right or okay. Horrible customer service. The employees hate their jobs. You can tell by the way they treat callers and not do their jobs. Everybody wants to pass the buck, give you the run around, read from a script, and not give straight answers. Lpandl shut the power off on A disabled war Vet and her children 2 hours before they close, on a night it was below freezing!, so she had no chance to get it turned back on! . On top of that they charged her fees that put her even further behind. ($867)and there threatening to shut it down again?! She went overseas to fight for your freedom! LP&L is the biggest criminal organization in the entire state of Texas. The Cartels have nothing on LP&L. HOW TF for 1 man and 1 6 year old, the water bill be exactly what i was paying when i was paying for electricity and water from you criminals. HOW TF is my water more expensive than my electric. For 2 people you charged over 300/month. My electric is never over 175 and my AC stays at 68. LP&L has been robbing Lubbock Ites blind for as long as i can remember. The worst part theres nothing anybody can do about it. The run the city, the city counsil, the police. Terrible terrible service. Lubbock is a corrupted city monopolizing on high power prices. Service is terrible, business is outdated, and the customer service is the worst. I would give it a 0 star if possible, so glad I'm not living her and dealing with them for much longer. Shut my power off one time after I had already paid the bill. Their payment system isn't working now and I'm being charged late fees for no reason. I hope Lubbock enjoys being taken advantage of because they aren't getting rid of big brother anytime soon... That's right, Lubbock city council members own stock in LP&L, so they won't let competition in and steal their money... God help us all read more

I don't know how it remains possible that LP&L can continue to rip people off!!! I absolutely hate everything about LP&L. They always hike up the fees whether its hot or cold outside. They completely suck and I wish there was a better alternative. They are all criminals and assholes. BUYER BEWARE!!! At this point all options are limited. They obstruct everything then tell you to call the number on the truck if you have a problem. THEN go get big "boss" to come out and scream at you like a freaking idiot. You have a loooong way to go in maturity before you could ever run a truly successful business as your customer service skills leave MUCH to be desired. Might want to take a workshop in growing your customer service skills. I've worked in customer service my whole life and what you did was truly tragic. You didn't even know what was going on and you still came out yelling and acting condescending. No apology for misunderstanding the situation nothin. I'd rate a 0 if it would let me.
