Theres no comparison, Luca's is some of the best pizza in south jersey! Staff is always friendly and accommodating! Let me also say that they do NOT skimp when it comes to toppings! We usually get something on half of the pie and when I say its LOADED with toppings I mean ANYWHERE else, you would have to request EXTRA toppings to get the amount that they give you at Luca's! This place is located in the mall, used to work here as a teen, back then was the first one not in the family, even Italian, they welcomed me in worked me hard taught me alot but their food is good, no matter what you get. Lucas pizza has been around Forever and I remember going to the mail when I was very young with my parents and getting pizza. They have a broad menu and I've had the cheese steaks, calzones, garlic knots, fries, Stromboli you name it and throughout the years I've probably had it and it's all good. The restaurant is family owned and I've known the family for a long time, basically just from being a local and eating here throughout the years. They've always been polite and very nice and always greeting everyone with a smile. The best menu items to me is their pizza, it's amazing how good this pizza is. A nice thin crispy crust light on the sauce and perfectly cheesy. Though their prices are up there it is % worth every penny! If you're in the Cumberland Mall and have an itch for pizza stop by Lucas and dig in, you won't be disappointed. read more

I ordered the cheese fries, mega fries, buffalo wings with ranch, half pepperoni and half meat lovers, cheese calzone. I called and placed the order and when I asked for the total the lady said she couldn't give me a price because the register was busy which was fine but that's until i got the the place and it was 71 for the total, pretty pricey for mall food imo. I overall thought the food was pretty decent, pizza was alright and the cheese fries were also decent. They forgot the buffalo sauce on my wings but the wings were nicely crispy. The calzone was alright but they didn't give Mariana on the side so ask. I overall thought the place was mid for the price I wouldn't recommend because the quality didn't match the price. read more

I've eaten a lot of pizza, and this is the best NY style by far in NJ (I'm a block from Bricco's, btw). Why? They hit the mark in EVERY area. Have I had better sauce? Yep. Cheese? Yep. Crust? Meh...not A NY style crust, but the texture, flavor, cooking on all these elements is a solid 9.5 all around in ALL areas. I feel like good pizza usually has one good thing going for it or they try too hard to be fancy. This is NOT fancy pizza. Like if they nail great sauce (Bruno's tomato pie in Haddonfield), great crust (Bricco's, but they're too frou-frou), great cheese (Manco's) the other elements either suck or are just passable. This is the perfect amount of everything, cooked to perfection. Boardwalk style Muenster or cheddar/ and mozz cheese blend, savory but not bitter nor overcooked sauce, and crust that's light, chewy, airy, but still somehow sturdy to keep it's shape while eating with just enough salt. I'd guess they're using 00 flour for it, but that's the baker in me! I drove 2 hours round trip twice this week to get this pizza, and I'll probably do it again! read more

This place is a must!! Currently out here in Millville for work and I was craving something nice. Hot. Ready to go and I came across Luca's Pizza! This is some of the best pizza I've ever had in my entire life. If there's one thing Jersey knows how to do. It's pizza! I'm from the west coast. So it's hard to find good pizza. I got a fresh pepperoni pie and man o man was it delightful. Found myself in Millville with time to kill. Saw the rave reviews for Luca's. Finding the place was not an easy task. My GPS kept telling me I was there. WHERE? I'm in a freaking parking lot! Somehow, I figured out it was in the mall. Ordered a large veggie without the broccoli. BEST PIZZA I've had in years! This includes the dozen or so I ordered from in Filthydelphia for the two years I was there. Perfection! Nit pick, maybe a tad too much garlic but that's an easy fix, "light garlic" next time. Only problem is that now I have to drive almost an hour round trip to get it. Damn you, Luca's! read more

I grew up in Brooklyn and this is the best pizza in the entire Millville area. The Luca's Pizza family is from Brooklyn and all I can say is that they make a great pizza. They sell by the slice and have all kinds of options for whatever your pizza preference is. I usually get a large cheese with pepperoni. There are actually two Luca's Pizza locations in the same Cumberland Mall. That is a testament as to how poorly this mall is doing. Unlike most mall food, Luca's excels. Their crust is perfectly balanced as a crust should be. If one holds the slice from the edge, the slice will not sag. I am partial to their mushroom pizza. They cook their slice pies plain and then add the toppings once the 'za is out of the oven. The mushrooms are canned, but my are these good. As one can imagine, mall pizza is on the expensive side. They always have slices ready. There is little waiting when one orders. The help is friendly. We've enjoyed pepperoni rolls, garlic bread, and calzones over the years too. I never mind coming to the mall when Luca's is on the agenda. read more

Dirty! The phase clean food practices appears to escape them. Witnessed server pick up trash from floor barehanded then was going to grab pizza out of the over. Until, I asked her to wash her hands before she touches anyone's food. She turns around and looks at me like I have two heads. She puts the plates she had in her dirty hands back on top of the clean plate pile. I had to inform her the plates she handled are now dirty and need to be thrown away. Ordered two large Stromboli's for New Year's Eve for pick up at four. They were just coming out of the oven as we got there (and we were fifteen minutes early). They were perfectly done. One veggie and one steak. Lots of veggies and just the right amount of cheese. The steak was tender and tasty. Friendly staff who were helpful when we asked for extra sauce. My boyfriend and I discovered Luca's Pizza yesterday while en route back to Philly after a lovely stay in Cape May: we realized that we'd forgotten to get beach pizza while on our trip. Before we traveled inland any further, I quickly searched within the yelp ap and Luca's popped up first. It was all very good timing since we were about a minute away from the Millville exit on Route 55. Luca's is located within a mall, and at first glance, with tons of big box stores planted on every corner, us hungry out-of-towners weren't sure if it was the kind of mall with smaller stores built inside as well. Not wanting to put any more time in between us and pizza, we called the restaurant to find out where exactly we could find them. The nice man directed us to the entrance near Old Navy and we easily found Luca's. We were delighted to see so many options of slices and their topping in front of us upon entering the restaurant. Something that looked delicious to both of us right away was a square slice of margarita pizza. The crust looked thin, so we each decided that we could pack in a slice of cheese as well. Boyfriend was feeling extra hungry, so he ordered a slice of the broccoli and ricotta, too. It turned out that the nice man on the phone was also the nice man ringing us up, and then the nice man bringing out out slices to us from the oven. He seemed to be interested in receiving "feedback" on yelp, so, here I am! The rectangular slice of margarita pizza was really something special. As I mentioned earlier, the crust was thin, and at first bite, we realized how perfectly crispy it was -- if you are a fan of this, this slice is to die for! The sauce was ample, flavorful, and had bits of tomato within it. The fresh mozzarella was cut to the perfect thickness and spread out wonderfully over the slice; not too much or too little. Topping all of this is what we found to be the best part, which was a nice amount of chiffonade basil and drizzle of olive oil: YUM. This was wonderful! I only got in one bite of the ricotta broccoli pizza before it disappeared, but it was really quite good, especially right out of the oven. The cheese slice was good as well with my usual application of crushed red pepper and liberal dusting of garlic powder. In scanning the reviews of Luca's yesterday, I could easily tell that this is a local favorite, and having dined here, I loving knowing why! We'll be back! read more

I got a slice of "supreme", which seems to have pepperoni and veggies in it. The crust of the pizza was different in a good way. It was crunchy but not oily. Aside from that, it was just a very typical slice of pizza, other than it being slight overpriced at $4.25 per slice. read more
