I wasn't ever planning to review this place, due to being convinced I'm the only person on planet Glasgow to have ever had a bad experience here but Kaz K.'s review has given me courage to speak out!
They would have gotten 2 stars because Frenchie and Patsy were absolutely lovely. However, overall the service is a definite one and done.
I had planned a wee tatt for my 23rd, a quote one of my best friends had written in a card on a really special occasion for me, anyway. She had a huge back piece done by Kev that year and raved that he was ''the man'' for fine line work and it was a fairly fancy font I was after so, I decided to book in with him. I booked the appointment for my birthday (October) in July, nipped in with the deposit and the artwork etc and all seemed rosy.
However a week before my appointment (3 months later) I was called to say Kev wouldn't be able to do the tattoo, it would be the new artist, Paul, doing it instead. I was pretty miffed at this as I wasn't really given a reason and I'd booked specifically with Kev on a friends recommendation. However, had a look at Paul's artwork and was convinced it'd be just fine as he's pretty damn talented.
On the MORNING of the tattoo appointment, I got a call whilst travelling to Glasgow to say they had ''misplaced'' the font and text details, sizing etc that I'd given them, so when I arrived, I had to give them all this information again. I thought this was ridiculously unprofessional and by that point I just wanted to get the tattoo done and leave.
So Paul drew up the tattoo, inked me up and as I came out to pay, Kev strolled in and started chatting to my friend, turned out he's just buggered off on a jolly to Amsterdam, so he obviously wasn't too bothered about taking my tattoo seriously.
The tattoo turned out fine, and I love it, but based on the service I would SERIOUSLY advise you to go elsewhere. The overall experience was not enjoyable and I left feeling like they just really didn't care for my business. read more
