She was very personable but what really made me appreciate her work was her level of communication. I must say this has been one of the most pleasant barbershop experiences since I moved to this area. The shop itself is very cool and had an awesome retro feel to it. You're offered a drink when you first come in, which is a nice. Asked for a side-part with a bald fade. Sandy, the owner, did a terrific job on my haircut and was very friendly. Not only did she take her time cutting my hair, she was also extremely detailed with the cut asking what I wanted each step along the way. For all of you ASMR people, I recommend getting the additional head massage and hot towel for an extra $2 as it was totally worth. Usually Asian hair can be tricky to cut but Sandy did a wonderful job. Probably one of the best cuts I've gotten. Definitely will come back again. read more

After going almost a month without getting my haircut I scheduled my appointment with hands down one of the best barbers I've ever had the pleasure of receiving a cut from, Beck Hall. Lucky Devil in itself has a great atmosphere but "Beck" with her amazing skills solidified my future business with Lucky Devil. It's hard to find someone that gets the kind of cut you're asking for and she did an amazing job! My son (9 yrs old) and I have been going to Lucky Devil for a few years. 9 times out 10 Sandy cuts our hair, but I believe everyone else has cut our hair at some point. We have never had a bad experience, all the barbers are professional and give great haircuts. They even went above and beyond when my son wanted a Mullet. Rude. Walked in on my wedding day. Need a 5 minute shaved head. Literally that long. On my wedding day no less. 3 available employees doing other tasks but no one good find 5 minutes to help me out. (Did I say, on my wedding day) my clippers crapped the bed that AM, and I was under the gun with 3 hours to go until I walked down the aisle. Yes, I did let them know it was my wedding day and no, no one could find the 5 minutes to have compassion for a man standing their with his young son in tow. Thank goodness a shop up the street had compassion and actually treated my son and I like we matter and snuck us in (took 5 minutes) to make our day come together. Never be back. Oh. Okay I set the appointment for my husband to get his hair and beard cut and a style done. We walked in the door to 3 friendly nice girls. He showed the girl what he was wanting to try. She looked at him checked out his hair and beard and said I can do that look on you and it will work. I will have to say this I was very happy when she was done and so was he. Just moved to the area and have been searching for a new barber. I'm happy I found this place. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Bronwyn was very patient in helping me figure out what haircut would be best for me. As a woman with a short androgynous haircut it can be hard to find a barber shop that I'm comfortable going to. This shop is awesome! I recently discovered them, and have gone back for my last two cuts. I recently took my 11 year old son there for his last hair cut too. Their whole staff is great! You're always greeted with a smile, and offered an ice cold soda or water as soon as you walk in. Brittany has been cutting my hair and she continues to do an incredible job! When she cut my son's hair a week ago, he walked out so excited about his new look! All the barbers/stylists are great, and all do amazing work. I highly recommend this shop. I was recommended this place by a friend for my son's haircut. I'll start by saying the haircut was fine, nothing necessarily wrong with it but not great. My real issue was with the staff. I called to make an appointment, gave my son's info, including age. When we entered, there were no signs about mask wearing, but I had my mask on, however my 7 year old and my 4 year old did not. We were told to go wash our hands then he could sit for his haircut. While we were in the bathroom, I was approached by another staff member and told my kids needed masks. I explained I was unaware, I had my oldest son's in my hand (just in case) but my youngest was in the car and I could go grab it when we finished washing hands but I explained they didn't wear them in because of the Governor's rule (under 10 don't need one). This is where it gets ridiculous. She goes in on me about how we shouldn't even be in the building without one and barber shops have different rules than everyone else. Ok, cool. Like I said, I have masks, I will put them on as soon as their hands aren't full of soap and water. She continues to argue with me that we shouldn't be in the building. I point out that I wasn't told on the phone that children were required to wear masks and their staff allowed me into the building and didn't mention anything about the kids not wearing masks. She continues to go on about how we shouldn't be in here and I need to stop arguing with her. I just ignored her at this point. I walk to my car and grab my youngest son's mask, walk back in, and she is talking trash about us to the other stylist. At this point I did everything to keep my cool because all of this is happening in front of my children. My 7 year old son says "mom, you weren't arguing, she is" which I point out to her that even he can recognize how rude they are. She did the hair cut, which again was fine. While I'm paying she asks me if I want to leave a tip, which is ridiculous because now I'm pressured to do so. I point out to them that their website says the kid's haircut is $16, but they are charging $20. She said their website is wrong and if I had used the app it would've been up to date. Their lack of respect for their clients and complete disregard for how they treat people is disgusting. Both myself and my friend will not be returning. If you want an average haircut and don't mind rude people, then by all means go see them. read more

I would definitely recommend this place with no reservations. I went in this past Saturday after scheduling an appointment online, which was super simple by the way, and came away thoroughly impressed. I was greeted immediately as I walked in the door with a few friendly "hello's" and smiles. The place has an edgy vibe to it, reminiscent of a tattoo shop. When I walked in there was some sandalwood incense burning and it smelled great, like a masculine scent. Other than the great smell, the first thing I noticed was the overall cleanliness. It was neat and clean inside which is a good sign and is a quick indicator of how well a business is ran. My appointment was scheduled for 2pm with Andi White. I arrived at about 155 and before I even sat down Andi was walking out introducing herself to me and ready for me to sit in her chair. That was great! Andi was super friendly and extremely professional. When I was describing what I wanted she took the time to ask questions about what I was looking for as far as hairstyle/cut etc. and really listened to what I was saying instead of just going through the motions. I'm very indecisive when it comes to things of that nature and have trouble trying describe exactly what I want, but she understood me perfectly and her recommendation basically read my mind perfectly. The haircut I received was great, it was exactly what I wanted without being able to describe it specifically. Probably the best haircut I have ever received. A word to the wise...don't be cheap, spend the extra $2 on the hot towel and head massage with your haircut. That quite possibly was the best $2 I have ever spent. In summation, my overall experience from start to finish was excellent. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the prices are fair and the stylists, especially Andi White in my case, know what they are doing and really strive to make you feel welcome. I've had cuts from Kira Saltzman before, but with her skill and Lucky Devil's atmosphere, I won't be leaving. Kira is, hands down, the best in the beach when it comes to a good fade! She always makes you feel like family when you're in her chair, and she won't let you leave until SHE'S happy with the way you look. I made a last minute appointment here on a rainy Sunday. Alana answered the phone and was very polite and helpful. She nicely let me know that they were closing in an hour but that if I could arrive within the next 30 minutes that they could fit me in. The reason I was going in is because I have been trying to find a barber that knows how to cut a low bald fade. Once I arrived I was offered coffee and tea and asked to stand by for an open barber. Alana ended up cutting my hair and I was very happy. During this visit she fixed the last barbers attempt at a low bald fade which ended being a high and tight. She was able to reverse the Bert look alike cut the was on top of my head into something that I could not only live with but felt comfortable going out in public with! I am looking forward to going back after my hair grows out more so that I can get the actual cut that I want. It is nice to find a barbershop that takes pride in there cuts. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I read online that they took walk ins so I decided to stop by shortly after they opened. I sat down and waited for someone to call me back to have my hair cut only to sit there for well over an hour while 10 other people who made appointments came in after me and were seen before me. It wasn't until another walk in came in and was told they were all booked up for the day did i realize i had just wasted a good chunk of my time on my only day off this week. Why no one said anything to me i have no idea and angry i walked out. While i understand they take appointments it is TERRIBLE business practice to say you take walk ins and neglect them for your appointments. I will NEVER come back read more
