I am baffled as to who could be giving the high rating to this restaurant. The Chinese food at a mall food court would get a higher rating from me. A frozen grocery box fish and chips would get a higher rating from my dining partner. Nice people, good service, pleasant and clean atmosphere. But the food will not entice me back ...even at half the price. read more

Decent place for Chinese food in Red Deer. The service is always fast and friendly. I have only ever had their Chinese food so I am not sure on the western cuisine. They give you lots of food for a good price. Nothing about the food makes it stand out to me. read more

The location in the middle of the casino is a bit odd. You literally have to wander through slot machines to find the restaurant at the centre. But the food was great. When I finally found Lucky's there was a long line of people waiting for takeout for their families. Several people in line mentioned it was worth the awkward walk and the wait for the best Chinese food in Red Deer. So far I have to agree, the food is great. But family dining, and the journey through the casino carrying layers of takeout boxes can be a pain. read more

Love this place! The Chinese food here is exceptional, the prime rib outrageously delicious and tender! It truly is magical with a little horseradish. Curried beef on rice super yummy and better then most places I've been to. Wonton soup is excellent. I alway enjoy this place for hockey games as there's lots of tvs. Service is fast and efficient and always friendly. Can't wait to returm! Yum! read more

I love the burgers at Lucky's and when Dino's moved locations and stopped making burgers - this place filled the void for a no frills tasty burger. Their prices are great too! I also really enjoy their egg rolls and the pork dumplings. I am determined to find out what chili sauce they use for their dumplings as it is so good. If you're in the mood for non-fancy but good burgers and apps then I think this place is a great one to get a take away from. I tend not to eat in-house but only because I'm personally not a fan of casino environments. read more

Headed into Red Deer for a Chinese late lunch after some antique shopping. We ordered four items, Szechuan beef, lemon chicken, spicy @ salty chicken and Singapore rice noodles with a side bowl of steamed rice and a pot of green tea. For the total price of $62.00, this is indeed great value with good portions for 4 people, wow! The beef was tender with plenty of green peppers and onion slices that were properly cooked. The dish was dry with no sauce which was abit different. The lemon chicken was alittle doughy as it needed to be fried alittle bit longer but the amount of chicken inside the dough was very good. The lemon sauce was ok. The rice noodles had a good curry kick. The spicy chicken had very good size chicken chunks but really was not salty or spicy enough. Good quality dishes but some needed abit more flavour from the spices, for our preferences. Very good value for the food, excellent service, good decor and a well kept restaurant, clean and uncluttered. Metered parking is in front and free during the weekends. The meal was very good but needed that extra kick in spice and heat. read more

I moved here from Vancouver 6 years and had yet to have decent Chinese delivery here until last night! Lucky's Kitchen was fast delivery, great price and very fresh! It tasted great and the portions were really big! The delivery guy was really nice too! We heard it through word of mouth seeing as it is in the casino and we're so happy to have finally found good Chinese here! We will be regular customers for sure from now on! I really usually enjoy eating their food, and I usually always take it to go as I live right next door and it is very handy......however I have been really disappointed with some of the chinese food daily specials because they taste "fishy", and I have experienced this more than a few times as of lately.....in that regard I am quite disappointed for their inconsistency...and the fish taste is a turn off, especially when ordering chicken chop suey or beef....it is really a shame that there is no consistency with meals sometimes. read more
