I went to get my nails done on 11/12/16. Had a big surprise date night that night, so I had appointments to get my nails, hair and makeup all done for this special occasion. Kimmy did a fantastic job on my feet, gave me a massage, introduced herself, friendly, wonderful wonderful job on my pedicure. Five stars for Kimmy. My manicure however... the guy, I don't know his name, butchered me. He made four nails bleed on my left hand, and two on my right. ALL my cuticles on my left hand where red and looked picked at. I was in such a hurry, I didn't notice I was bleeding until I paid, with cash, including gratuity, and on my way to my next apt. I started to panic, were their tool sanitary? Am I going to get an infection? How much of my nasty bloody hands going to show up in the photos? My feelings where hurt. Very, very, hurt. How can someone do this? How could an "experienced licensed professional" do this? And not notice? No apologies? And still make me pay full price? Every other aspect of my appearance that night was spot on... but this guy butchered my skin, which detracted from my overall experience, and set the night off on a bad foot. One star for the butcher. I'd go back for Kimmy, but BEWARE of the guy. Supposedly he's been doing it for 10 years.. He needs a new profession if he's still making half of his work bleed. Bummed, I spent $70 with tip included for someone to botch my poor nails. And I didn't get a receipt because I paid in cash. I paid in cash because I noticed all they're signs saying how fees went up and they'd appreciate cash tip. So I just paid the whole thing in cash. I get it, I run a small business myself, we would rather have cash as well. I will not be a returning customer. read more

I should have known the place was not worth it when I went in on a Friday at 5:30pm and I was the only customer there. I went in for a basic pedicure... $23 on the menu that I was shown. I got my pedicure done which seemed fine. I checked out and she charged me $28. She didn't speak English at all so I just let it go because I thought she did a decent job. The SAME NIGHT, two of the toenails have chipped paint already... 4 days later..THE TOENAILS LITERALLY PEEL RIGHT OFF. Now I'm missing actual toenails. I work in podiatry so I consulted the doctor (my boss) and he said the place I got my pedicure gave me a foot fungus!!! Probably from not sanitizing tools. I have never had a foot fungus before this and because of my job, i get my feet checked regularly. I AM DISGUSTED. Will NEVER be back and DO NOT RECCOMEND!!! read more

Not the worst experience but for sure the worst quality. I had a gift certificate so I came in for a gel manicure. The staff was very nice and friendly but when I look at my fingers I can't help to only think "thank goodness I didn't spend any money on this." The gels don't feel as thick as when I usually get gels but we will see. I also have never gotten designs but this time I thought I'll go for it. Well as I looked at samples I found a few designs I liked but they all looked sloppy. I thought it was just because they were painting on plastic not a nail so maybe it changed the quality? Idk. But it didn't. I had to request the design for be removed because it was so sloppy. Aside from the quality of service their shop was also filthy. I watched them "wash" the foot spa and it was wiping with water, a sponge (repeatedly used) and NO SOAP. Maybe it's just me, but GROSS. After seeing that I couldn't help but let my eyes wander around and well, I soon regretted that. The whole place needs a serious makeover- it just feels "grimy." read more

A friend recommended me this nail salon and I have to say I am impressed. I believe the nail tech "Henry" was the one assisting with me. He gave me what I asked for along with fixing one of my other nails which happened to break and another that was filed so thin from a previous business. The prices are reasonable but they do stay busy! The staff are nice/welcoming. I will be making my appointments here often! read more

So I've been off of Yelp for a while as I've been moving around and traveling the states. During my ventures I've been to and seen some amazing places and have decided to start writing reviews whenever I have some down time. During one of my trips through Arizona I decided to splurge a little bit and get my nails done (this is splurging for me as I rarely bother getting my nails done). I stumbled upon Lucky Nails and Spa and decided "Why not?". One of the best decisions I made in this state. I was greeted and treated well, even as I waited (and not long mind you) for my chance in a seat. I never felt like I was forgotten or just another person in queue here. Kimmy ended up helping me and she was amazing! Super friendly and super professional. We talked while she worked, which at other places always made me feel a little embarrassed to engage in conversation with someone working on my feet, and it definitely felt more like having a friend over for a spa day then someone just working for your cash. You can tell she loves what she does. As it turns out, Kimmy has been doing nails for a long time, has gone through different beautician schools and programs and has all kinds of certifications. As for my nails themselves, I did want to keep things simple as traveling is not as fun when you have to mind your nails at every turn, but Kimmy managed to keep them on the shorter side and still make them look great. My only regret is that I never thought to take a picture. Photo aside though, I say give this place your business. Be sure to ask for Kimmy! read more

So let me say that I love this nail place in a typical basis i would give it 4 Stars - it's well deserved - my daughter turned me on to it and I've never had a bad experience. But - I went with two of my friends on Saturday and I called the day before for an appointment for all of us. I had to wait until my friends pedicure was complete before mine was started. The woman I had was very nice - she did wear reading glasses when she was doing my toes and It had been about 6 weeks since my last pedicure and I know my nails were bad, but she was obsessed with my big toes - scraping and nipping them and clipping the corners of my nails and I had to say 3 times - you are hurting me. And today I have a scab on my left big toe cuticle and it hurts. read more

I decided to give this place a try because Where I am a regular was extremely busy. Worst decision ever Tony is not very friendly with Kids. My daughter of 3 yrs and I usually get our feet done together but he refused to provide service to her because she was too little. Like I said my daughter and I usually get our feet done and since Tony decided to not do my daughters feet she was taken out of her routine which left room for exploring which you can tell Tony really didn't like and was cringing and micro managing all of my daughters moves and actions. I've only had my nails "done" at home or at a resort spa, so I expected a lot from Lucky Nails. Kimmie and Henry were so friendly and knowledgable. Though I'm a guy, they really made the experience comfortable. Their other customers knew them well and spoke highly of them. They were right - they're good! My nails are healthy and clean. Their shop is clean and the staff is respectful. They offer a great deal. Also, I understand that Kimmie is well known on the west coast as an expert in permanent make-up tattooing. I was skeptical at first because I've been to so many other places where they did terrible and rushed just so they can get paid. Long story short they have made me a costumer for life! They take there time and cater to your needs. I accidentally messed up one of my nails before leaving that when I asked if they can fix it they did it with no problem! Your appointment means nothing here. My friend and I arrived on time and ready to go for our 11am appointment. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated for our pedicures. The first thing the man says to me is that it has been a long time since your last pedicure. This is factual I work tons of hours and never have time to treat myself, that is why this was a special day. I apologise for the condition of my feet and picked out one of the higher priced pedicures knowing that my feet might take more work. He then proceeded to say "You painted your nails yourself last time." Again this is true. He said I did a sloppy job. Pretty much by this time he has completely embarrassed me in front of my friend.. He then told me he would be back in 5 minutes and went to do some girl's manicure. 45 minutes later my friend's pedicure is done and I am still sitting there with callous remover on my feet (which started to burn about 15 minutes prior). He finally returned and I informed him that I was not continuing my pedicure I was done. He said I am not done he's gonna do my pedicure whether I like it or not. He insisted that he remove my callous Then proceeded to show my friend the amount of dead skin removed from my feet. Just in case I wasn't embarrassed enough. My friend's pedicure looked delightful. I am sorry that I came here, I am sorry that the man working here didn't feel that I deserved good service. He insisted that I pay for a basic pedicure for removing old polish, trimming my nails, and callous removal (Im guessing that the embarrassment was free) Go anywhere else or just drink wine and paint your own damn nails at home. read more

Atmosphere is ok, the woman who sat me in the chair was very polite but when it came to pedicure time, the gentleman who did it noticed my toe was a little ingrown and decided to take it out. I was ok with it until he literally started making my toe nail bleed. He tried to play it off like there was no blood coming out and when he saw that I noticed he said sorry. My skin by my ingrown nail is now black and I'm in a lot of pain. Wouldn't recommend anyone getting a pedicure here unless you want to leave with an open wound. I wear sandals so have always gotten callus remover when getting my feet done. The person who did my pedicure recently applied the acid gel to a piece of plastic wrap which she rubbed around on my heel, and before I knew it, all of the skin on the back and sides of that foot was burning. When I told her it burned she smiled and indicated I should wait, because she was working on my other foot. I insisted that she wash it off, but someone there had to translate to her what I was saying. She apologized, but had not been trained properly. It has been almost 2 weeks, and I'm only just healing. Another staff member waxed my upper lip, but the next day I noticed an area as large as my finger print that still had a lot of hair - about 1/4 of the area! When I returned, two days after the waxing, for it to be redone, she was rude, saying maybe it grew back, but you could see it was long! Very rude management and poor quality of service mean they should have earned NO stars! read more

Worst place ever!! I went to go get a pedicure and full set of nails...not sure who the lady who did my nails was but while doing my foot massage she put some kind of oil on me and massaged my feet for a little and then stopped to put some on her arm and massage her arm....didn't make a fuss about it because I'm sure she was tired....so I let it go.....then I switch over for my full set of nails. I wanted an ombré look on them...so I ask the other lady if she can do that....she gives me a dirty look and then says 'no!!' In such a snappy tone! So I thought fine I'll just get the same color as my pedicure....(I should of walked out the moment she gave me attitude) she proceeds to do my full set and with the little drill/sanding thing she cuts my cuticles and as she starts to put the actual fake nail and powder I notice that she's rushing and trying to get me out of the chair....but again I let it slide thinking she's going to fix it once she starts filing the nail....then comes the filing....my ring finger and thumb on my left hand looked crooked....my index and middle finger on my right were slanted and crooked. So I let her finish and before she starts buffing it out I tell her that I don't like how those look...so she gives me the dirtiest look ever and rolls her eyes at me and fixes them...of course she starts speaking in her language to the guy there and she sounds very bothered! And to top it all off she demanded I pay before she painted my nails...which by the way was terrible too!! Be ware of this place!!! It sucks!! Terrible customer service! It's my fault for staying after the first incident but I will never go back here again!!! read more
