I have been utilizing this particular laundromat for many years and the current management has made phenomenal upgrades. The staff is extremely courteous, helpful, and friendly. The establishment and machines are kept very clean . I particularly use them for cleaning my large items, such as blankets and quilts. And they offer special rates at different times of the week. Ive driven past this place hundreds if not thousands of times, really never paid much attention to it. My usual laundromat is closed, awaiting the new owners to take over so I thought why not? Its a further drive but worth it. This place is clean, air conditioned, has vending machines with snacks and everything you need to do your laundry. It has music playing and is reasonably priced. Service Has Declined Time to Move On I've been using their laundry service for years, but the service has steadily declined. They've always returned clothes in plastic bags, but this time the bag was torn at the bottom and the bundles were extremely heavy placed directly on the ground. Not great handling. They also don't follow special instructions, no matter how clearly I write them. And over the years, some of my white items have been ruined from heavy bleaching fabric worn down and torn. I've stuck with them longer than I should have, but I think I'm done now. Time to go back to doing it myself read more

There is no sign on the building, so have attached photos so you can find it. The Laundromat itself is small but well laid out. They are front loading and there are several load sizes. The machines take quarters or credit cards, and both change machines were in good working order. Nice folding tables, too, and you can get drop off service. read more

The machine took my money twice but didnt work and the lady at the laundrymat said she couldnt give me any money. Then she called the owner all over 1.50$ in quarters. Im not going back here again. The owner also said she seen me over the cameras using the wrong machine which is indeed not true. It was the correct one. read more

This was my go to place to do laundry. The issue now is that many times the "good" machines are being used by staff and they jacked their prices for all of their machines. Not to mention their contactless pay doesn't work anymore. Hasn't been for a while. Swish & Swirl is now becoming more convenient for me because they have a contactless system and has better pricing now that this place jacked up their prices. read more

I've been coming here for years and cannot beleive I haven't rated them yet. Guess that's because I was supposed to do so now. They used to be great but the past few times not so much. I don't know if they've been sold or what, but there are lots of broken machines. The bathroom door doesn't have a key anymore..they use a wire to poke the lock open. The bathroom sink is literally about to fall off the wall, no seriously there's a sign and everything. It's still clean and the staff try to be helpful. But the broken machines made it really hard to get my stuff washed. read more

I could not be happier with Lucky Oak Laundromat. I was drowning in laundry due to a long camping trip, a puppy, kids, the whole kit n kaboodle. We dropped off a ton of laundry and had delivered back to us, beautifully folded... stains that I have never been able to get out are gone. My dryer broke and I needed to wash sheets. This place is clean and the machines are in good condition. The washing machines are all front loaders. The machines take credit cards which is super convenient. They are expensive, though. The least expensive washer was $4.50. I had tried another local laundromat but it was dirty and some customers weren't wearing masks. read more

The best and friendliest staff. I have accidentally left my laundry overnight and when I pick it up the following day it is always folded perfectly. The facility is clean and offers plenty of washers and dryers that are in great condition. Also, it helps that there is free wi-fi so I can get my work done while I am doing laundry. The attendant today informed me that they offer a laundry delivery service, everything is included. I am definitely trying that service the next time I need my laundry done. This is the second laundry place we try in SLO. So far, the best. In this hoy weather they offer good air conditioning, but hey also offer free wifi which is a plus especially if you hate doing laundry because of all the valuable time you loose while doing it. The wifi service is ok, fast enough. The place looks clean and the staff is very nice. They have coin operator machines, change machines, soap center machines AND each machine accepts cards and apple pay. Downside.... They charge an extra .25 for using cards, and most of the card system machines did not worked. They have a nice in front parking, and walking distant places to eat, hang out or walk. Their prices range from 2.00 through 8.50 per washing machine and 8 minutes per .25 cents in the drier machine. The also offer fluff and fold services. Bathrooms clean! read more

Feeling disrespected and disappointed...I work 12 to 16 hrs daily caring for my disabled husband and elderly mother and because of immune deficiencies I must do laundry (a lot) several times a week. It is usual for me to get there at 7:45p - and finish up just in time for closing. Matthew (employee who took over for the 2 ladies who used to be there) treated me as a big inconvenience telling me he still had to sweep and mop. Should've considered starting earlier instead of kickin it with customers, chatting it up and having a good time. I was trying to hurry and get out of his way and dropped my drink - he turned and walked away - now really annoyed. I have never left without making sure to wipe down the machines I've used and picking up any debris- I used my own towel and cleaned up the drink and when I asked for access to the bathroom (now 10 minutes before closing) he doesn't even look my way as he tells me "no, I've already bleached and mopped " ok - really , I was only going to wet my towel to make sure nothing sticky was left behind. I miss the ladies there- when it was spotless and pleasant place to be. Matthew, you are not the only one with a job . And if I'm not mistaken your shift ends at 10p right? Lucky Oak Laundry is saving me! We bought a house that didn't have a washer and dryer. I saved up for a new new set, ordered it, and then the COVID reality set in. I've been waiting for months for them to arrive (it's always just 3 weeks out! every time I call) I ordered to arrive; at this point it's a matter of stubbornness. I want the ones I chose, darn it! I hunted online and found Lucky Oak. With kids and home schooling and work and living in the country, I don't have time to add going to the laundromat to the mix. Amazingly, thankfully, gloriously, LO drives to the boonies to pick up, wash, fold/hang, and return our family of four's endlessly dirty clothes. Given that they have commercial washers, I've sent all of our blankets to be washed (those are an extra cost, but I'll never get them this clean, even with my Unicorn set that might arrive next Halloween) and they've turned out great. Nothing has been damaged. I've called with changes and the team has adjusted my order. I've written notes on my preferences (e.g. cold water wash for darks, etc) and LO adapts just great. We would be a disheveled mess without them and I can't thank them enough. Hopefully I'll only be using LO for three more weeks. read more

I just have to say that I really appreciate how well this laundromat is taken care of. There is always an attendant here and they are constantly cleaning--wiping the machines down, cleaning out the detergent compartments on the inside and sweeping the floor. This place is usually immaculate. And because they clean out the inside compartments I can wash my clothes with my preferred scent free detergent and walk out of here with my clothes smelling 95% scent free. I've been coming to this laundromat for a year or two. It is one of the better self service laundromats in Atascadero. For the most part it is clean. It can have stuff on the ground after peaks in use. Also if you come during those times, it's a mad dash for a washing unit. There is usually staff there. Sometimes in the morning they coming in to open then disappear for awhile but it is not that frequent. This place also has WiFi which is an added bonus. There are a lot of washing machines and dryers or different sizes which is great. The machines all appear newer or they do a good job of maintaining them. The only real "con" that I have is they let the broken machines stack up a little before a service person comes and repairs them. I would venture to guess they let about 15%of the machines go down before they fix them. I try to come first thing in the morning so the traffic isn't as bad. The other bonus is there is a donut shop across the street if are brave I'm dodging the traffic and there is a J's burgers and Subway next door. So food and stimulants are nearby. I will continue to keep coming here as they are great. read more

Normally, I am very impressed with how clean and tidy this laundromat is kept, but not last Sunday. There were used dryer sheets and other debris on the floors and tops of the machines. The attendant was only there for about 5 minutes, right before my laundry was done. It may have been because it was Sunday, I am usually there on Saturday. read more

I absoultly love this place! Free wifi, a bathroom, big screen tv, $1 and ¢.25 machines. They even take plastic on the side of each washer and dryer. 4 size washers and 3 size dryers. They also offer services for wash dry fold and/ or iron. The ladies are supper nice and very helpfull. The day manager(?) Is always helping older pepole and men to use the machines insted of charging them for the services. The night girl is also dupper sweet and helpfull. They keep the place super clean. The only issues I have had are with a paticular parttime nite attendent. She WILL NOT let you start a wash load after 8:15pm despite the 8:30 cut off time. On 3 seperat occasins I was turned away. Tonight I came in at 8;22. She began to try and kick me and my stinky un metionables out but I calmly said " But its only 8:25 and i really need to have clean underware! Please oh please!" She agreed. .... Well it wasnt exactly that way but I got my laundry done. read more
