Maybe a little bit of both? Hey Boba reminds me of the boba tea shops in San Antonio, TX. It's privately owned and not a franchise. Because of this reason, there is no regulation on the products the shop uses. If you are used to milk tea from popular boba tea franchises like Tapioca Lounge, Sharetea, Gongcha, Tiger Sugar, and even Kung Fu Tea, then I am sorry to say...the milk tea at Hey Boba and similar privately owned boba tea shops taste "diluted" and sometimes "powdery." Hey Boba tea does not taste powdery though, but does taste diluted. I want to support local businesses which is why I gave it a 4 stars. For me, the best boba tea shop in Tulsa is Kung Fu Tea even though Kung Fu Tea is my least favorite out of all the boba tea franchises.

The tiramisu always hits the spot. Pink butterfly isn't what I'm accustomed to but it was still delicious. There are a couple of tables and some seating available . I had a few questions and the young woman behind the counter was very helpful to me since I don't usually drink these sort of things or eat the taiyaki. They were pretty nice and crispy which was nice. Overall I probably won't be back unless they add more flavors to try out.

There's a 25% discount when check-in on Yelp however the code has been deactivated. I got one of the workers to help me with the discount and he was able to use a different code to give me 25% off. Great place for a different type of desserts. I would highly recommend.
