I finally find a tattoo shop that I can call home. I first saw this shop when I dropped my car off to get repairs across the street. I went in and wanted a small tattoo because I needed to see if the work was as good as the pictures looked on yelp. Well the rest is history. Lucky has done 3 of my tattoos and only lucky. I will not go to anybody else, not because their not good but because I believe in staying with the artist you feel understands you. I am in no way in artist so most of my inspiration comes from others on the internet. I will take pictures of certain tattoos and show him, then the magic happens. He will come back with a collaboration of all the pictures I brought him, the way I want it if not more. That honestly is what blows me away. And then he just draws it on my skin, talk about skills. Once we get started he makes sure you to keep you laughing through the pain. And it's a plus when the place is full because everybody is laughing and having conversations. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received here. My tattoo artist's name is Yogi and he was rude and unprofessional. He did not make me feel comfortable. When I left, I noticed he added an extra detail in my tattoo that was not on the photo I showed him. I went in the next day and asked him to add it on the other side to make it even, and it came out even worse than before. It is not symmetrical at all, and he tried to make an excuse about why it wasn't even. He seemed to be in a rush and it did not seem like he cared at all about what I wanted. read more

By recommendations I went to Lucky Van's to get my side tat done. It was my fourth one so I've been to a few tattoo shops and this one is by far one of my favorites. The people are so welcoming and friendly. And the establishment is actually really well put together. I was totally comfortable the entire time I was there. I've been to a few sketchy looking shops and that is definitely not this place. Now onto the work...AMAZING! I absolutely loved my new tattoo once it was done (by Danny) that I knew I was going to go there to get my other side done. I tell him what i want brings it to life or he free styles it on me. I love how everyone is so welcoming and friendly, they make you feel extremely comfortable right form the door. That's 4 stars worthy alone! Safe to say I've had 8 tattoos done by Van! I specifically went to Van (the third/ or Jr?) because my sister referred me to him. Mind you, I was coming in for my second and third tatts, nervous and all over the place. I've been contacting Van for about two-three weeks, constant back and forth on changes and figuring out what I wanted and where. First off, he's such a good guy because I bugged him 24/7 and he was always so nice and responds so fast. THANK YOU. Finally went in today, personally I think Van was such a easy-going, tattoo artist. He made me feel at ease right away because my tatts placement were in my breasts area -- I think he knew I was nervous so he definitely went easy on me and made a few laughs here and there. I appreciate his patience, honesty, and his light hands.. I didn't feel pain at all and I'm such a cry baby. He made every effort to keep me comfortable and pain free as possible. Came here for cheap nipple piercings 2 for $80. But you get what you pay for. I had Yogi pierce me and it was all sorts of a mess. Piercings should definitely be done in a separate room NOT behind the counter with a little room divider, it was so uncomfortable having my tits out and about with people coming through the back. Got my nipples done, great I had left with an adrenaline rush only to find out that my left nipple was not only crooked but also partially into my areola NOT my nipple. Came back the next day to ask for a refund so I could go get it redone by a different piercer. They said "well we normally don't do refunds" Well do you guys normally pierce people's areola's too? Maybe I'm being a little harsh but this was just frustrating. BUT WAIT, there's more. I had to take out my crooked nipple piercing, wait for a whole month to heal, and came back to get it redone. The first time I got my nipple done, Yogi at least gave me a little pep talk, tried to distract me from the pain but this time around he was legit talking to his coworker as he pierced my nipple without fair warning. I didn't really get to look at it because they didn't have a mirror on hand but instead a big mirror in the hallway where people would see me look at my nipple. When I got back home, my left nipple piercing was finally not crooked. BUT it was still partially on my areola. And as you can tell by the length of this review I'm pretty heated. Im not even going to bother try and fix my left nipple anymore because I'm pretty over it. Bottom line, do not get pierced here. read more

So, I'm an honest person because I truly believe that's an important quality to have while journeying through life. This review will be honest and from the heart, no lies. I was looking for a tattoo shop while I vacation and this shop popped up. I looked for reviews and couldn't find many but people mostly said good or average things. I called the place, they answered, were friendly, had a $50 minimum so I figured why not. I got to the shop with my friend and it was a tiny little hole in the way. My friend went with the other artist and I got an artist named Yogi. I had sent two pictures of what I was looking for and Yogi showed me how he drew it out. He gave his honest opinion about size and placement but made sure to emphasize, it is MY tattoo and I should get exactly what I want. I sat down and was ready to see how this would turn out. I want to mention the other artist Junior who was friendly and very personable and was a bonus to the experience. But I want to make sure I say this properly.... I have a guy back home who is like family to me and Yogi is just some random guy. My last words before leaving the shop was "You weren't supposed to be this good." Because that's the truth. I am genuinely surprised more people do not review this shop because the talent that this man has is IMPECCABLE. Hands down the best work I have ever seen. He wanted to do my heart tattoo because it wasn't simple, he likes a challenge. He made the original piece look like a piece of garbage compared to the masterpiece he created. I kept telling him "you weren't supposed to be this good" but his favorite words of the night were " I'm not done yet" because Yogi is a perfectionist and has an eye for detail. And even that is the biggest understatement of the century. I live all the way in Chicago and would easily come back for another piece from him because he is MORE than THAT GOOD. Besides he was personable, funny, and made you feel very comfortable, his talent is something the whole world deserves to know about. He looks out for his customers and makes sure they will "walk out of the shop smiling at their new tattoo" as he told me at the beginning. He cares about his customers being happy and wants them to have artwork to show off and be proud to have on them. Words cannot describe how amazing this shop is. Yogi is THE best and I would recommend him to ANY person looking for a MASTERPIECE from someone who will not only pay attention to every detail, bit challenge himself to exceed the standards you are expecting. I cannot say it enough, I have never been so happy over a tattoo that has been done for that it exceeded any thought I expected it to turn out to be. I am so glad I chose this shop. It might be a small hole In the wall but I promise you, you will NOT regret choosing this shop. Thanks again Yogi for this impeccable work.
