Tina immediately made it easy - super warm, easy to talk to, and genuinely attentive. She gave honest input, suggested tweaks where it made sense, and really took the time to understand what I wanted. We narrowed it down to a few designs, and she printed them in different sizes so we could play with placement. That part was actually really helpful! I didn't feel rushed at all. Once everything felt right, we got started. Tina walked me through what she was doing as she set up, and even told me when she was about to begin, which I appreciated. The tattoo itself was way less painful than I'd built it up to be. She's incredibly precise and has a really light touch. She also made sure I left with clear aftercare instructions and answered every question I had. Overall, such a great first experience. I'll definitely be back for another!

I saw her line work and it was right up my alley, so I reached out to her and book my appointment. She was so sweet and communicated so gently with me, constantly reminding me that it was okay to make changes as this was a permanent change on MY body -- she is such a sweetheart!! The day of my appointment, I got there very early (as I'm an anxious street parker and don't like to stress about finding parking spots) and I was greeted kindly by the owner, Daniel. He was so kind and friendly, started a little chat with me and then he showed me all of his artwork across the shop. He told me that he wants each tattoo artist to show their art at their working stations and it was so unique to see all the representations/muse of each artist. It made me feel confident in my decision to choose Lyfestyle Ink because Daniel is so dedicated to art and making others happy through that expression. Now onto my actual tattoo, Dash was given all of my ideas and photos of what I wanted -- and she brought that to life. The second I saw my design, I was so excited and she was able to make the little changes to make sure I was 1000% satisfied. During the actual tattoo process, it felt like I was chatting with an old friend. We were laughing, getting to know one another, and before I knew it, my tattoo was done! I have a mandala where the color fades mimicking layers, think art class, people. Currently getting extension on other pieces and Lobell picked up some new needles that I'm obsessed with- fine lines! This amazingly talented artist, Airu (@honeybeetattoo_airu) doesn't usually do touch-ups or add color (after so many years later). But considering we went to her to mark the year my healing began, it was extremely important to go back to her to commemorate what I was celebrating that day - the official end to my breast cancer journey. Airu is the first and only female artist that tatted me. She is kind, friendly, meticulous, and clean. When she heard about the reason for doing this, she made the exception to make it happen.
