The woman who washed my hair was gentle and checked in with me to make sure everything was okay. I was able to speak to the owner briefly as I was reading a flyer posted in the salon that had a heart warming message for cancer patients and how they offer services to woman impacted by cancer for free. Hair review Walked in on a rainy Thursday morning. I searched Yelp to help me find a decent Dominican blowdry. The reviews did not disappoint. I was greeted with a smile from the hostess and the stylists. The hostess speaks both Spanish and English. The majority of the stylists speak Spanish but they are able to communicate hair needs in English. I requested a wash and blow out and was immediately attended to. I was sat in the wash chair and consulted on needing a deep conditioning treatment which I was definitely in need of. I have curly hair and my hair was in a high bun for the past 4 days, so yes to conditioning. The treatment was an extra 10$ and maybe an extra 15 minutes under dryer. The head wash was everything! Deep scalp massage and double wash. My scalp felt cleansed. The stylist consulted on what type of blow dry I wanted (flat super straight, volume, bouncy) and I requested a super straight look without needing a flat iron after. My request was fulfilled and I left with my hair feeling glam. The heat was strong so if you have a sensitive scalp be ware and tell stylist if it gets too hot but to achieve the look I wanted I know it was needed. Very happy with my drop in stop and I will be visiting again. Total cost $55 plus I tipped the stylist. read more

I was referred here by a co-worker and I must say her being from BK and me being from the South Bronx shows our level of commitment to great hair! I went there today to get my hair straightened and it was completely terrible I told the lady numerous times she was burning me or can you not do certain things and she completely disregard what I said. But I asked for my hair to be washed, blow dry, and straightened and to be completely honestly it just looked like it was only blow dry. So I went Dominican salon very nice I ask for Lucy I told her exactly what I wanted and she ask me questions about my hair and got to work right away she was honest with me and told me step by step what I really needed and worked with me to reach my hair goal. Staff is very nice. I was very nervous she put the bleach in did the color process and my hair came out exactly how I wanted it THANK GOD. She also gave me a well needed trim and I was scared she might cut off more than what I needed but I was wrong again she cut just the split and dead ends which was only half an inch another GREAT JOB DONE I am very pleased my hair feels soft and healthy my color came out AMAZING all thanks to Lucy.
