Awful experience. Still fuming from the disrespect. Went to get an inspection and mistakingly had the wrong paperwork in hand. Instead of this being explained I was told to "use my head". Obviously this is not the treatment a customer wants or expects when going somewhere to pay for a service. Maybe its time for the owner to retire if he dosn't have the patience anymore to treat his clientelle with respect. Certainly wont be returning and will be spreading word to my clients and associates in the area to look for an alternate service center. read more

I ended up here on a whim after destroying my battery trying to get my little car up a snowy hill near Okemo. They had to run into town to get the right battery for me, but they were super fast and all at the very end of the day in a crazy snow storm. The head guy was incredibly nice but also totally honest. I watched him deal with a few different customers while I was waiting and was impressed not only by how many he new by name, but also the general extent of his knowledge on the details of each car and his inside out knowledge of the different issues and options. I would consider moving to Ludlow just to have this man as my regular mechanic. It is a little bit tucked back from the road and not a ton of signage, but worth it if you need someone in the area. read more

So, I wanted to write this review following my experience but I waited until we returned from our trip. We were skiing at Okemo for a few days and the place we were staying required us to drive down a few muddy roads filled with potholes. By day 3, our last day there, my truck started vibrating. I called Ludlow SC and requested an alignment. The guy I spoke to on the phone correctly diagnosed the problem as NOT an alignment issue, but a tire balance issue. He asked if we had been driving through mud. After recounting my story, he suggested checking the rims and cleaning out the mud- no need to bring the vehicle in. I would've gladly brought the truck in for service if he accepted my request, but this guy was so honest and so spot on. So, technically, I've never been to Ludlow Service Center, but if I ever have car trouble while at Okemo, I won't think twice about where to go. I highly recommend this shop. Honesty is a business like his is hard to find. read more

I was visiting Okemo for a ski trip and had a big problem with deep ruts in the mud due to nasty spring conditions. My car bottomed out and had significant damage caused by impact with the mud. The car was a mess with the plastic air dam hanging off and mud caked in the wheels. The folks at Ludlow Service Center were amazing! Tony was able to get me back on the road by safely reattaching the air dams, and cleaned out the mud from the wheels and from the engine compartment. They did the work at a very fair price, and were able to get the work done while we skied over at Okemo. I highly recommend Ludlow Service Center if you need repairs done at a reasonable price. This is a family business with a very friendly, knowledgeable proprietor. Stop looking! You found the right place! read more

Picked up a check engine light on the drive up from NJ. Tony was a bit overwhelmed with a mechanic on vacation, but offered solid advise on how to proceed. His advise was spot on, turned out to be a non critical sensor. He could have taken me in and dragged on a service. Refreshing to find a mechanic like this. When my "check engine" light came on in my Mazda during an extended stay in the Okemo/Ludlow area, I Googled for service centres and found the review by Kristin G. above. That made me decide to go to Ludlow Service Center where I noticed a number of local folks getting their cars repaired. I also caught some fire department vehicles being serviced. Although the service center is small and no flashy beauty, it's all heart. Tucked up the hill and a bit back from Rt. 100, it's easy to miss. But a young man named Keith made an appointment for me and, when I came back, Tony (a father-son team?) handled the problem. He explained that it was a minor emission problem and that I would have no problem driving the 600 miles back home to Canada and my own mechanic. I also asked for new wipers which they installed. Total charge $69.22. When I called my mechanic to tell him what happened, he said that was very reasonable -- and I thought so too. So, if you're in the area, I totally recommend this garage if you run into car trouble. read more
