Warren's Warren is actually Wesley, and he's a hardworking, honest businessman and mechanic. If you're in the Manchester, Vermont area and need a mechanic, go to Warren's Garage. The first thing that impressed me was that Wesley answered the phone at 3:45 on a Saturday afternoon when we called to get help with our Kia Sorento. In my experience, it can be difficult to get help from a mechanic late in the day on a Saturday. After we told him that our SUV started to hesitate as we accelerated up the hill on the highway outside of Manchester, he invited us to stop by. When we got there around 4:15, he plugged his computer into the car, diagnosed the problem and, as expected, said that he couldn't do anything about fixing it until he got the necessary parts on Monday. When Monday rolled around, Wesley was able to get an after-market part from Napa Auto Parts but it would have cost $300. Wesley was appalled at how expensive it was! Instead, to save us money, he arranged for us to drive over to NY to pick up the parts from a Kia dealer (our car was drivable). Once we had the parts, Wesley installed them in about 15 minutes. And, refused to allow us to pay him for his time! In the end, the repair cost us $150 but could have cost as much as $500. Because of his integrity, Wesley chose to help us out and to not take advantage of us when he easily could have done so. He said that he didn't like that tourists in need are sometimes preyed upon and that it wasn't a practice of his to do so. Like other's have mentioned, I was visiting Manchester from Philadelphia when the infamous "check engine" indicator came on during the last night before we were departing. The next evening, we had to catch a ferry from Eastern Massachusetts (220 miles) followed by the drive back to Philadelphia (348 miles). I called Wesley in the morning to try to get the problem diagnosed and confirm whether or not it would be safe to drive to our next destinations. He said, "Give me an hour and a half ... bring your car in at 11:30." I cannot express my relief that he would take us on such short notice. It was a Sunday and my rear right tire just wouldn't keep much air. I found this garage was open. We gave them a call beforehand and they said they'd be there. Once there they threw the car up on a lift, located the offending nail and repaired the tire. $20 was all it took. They also have 4? really cool dogs. I obviously can't comment on more complex repairs, but good for something simple and open on Sundays. read more

I recently met the owner, Wesley, after breaking down in the Walmart parking lot. Even though he was just leaving with his family, he still stopped to offer his help and advice. He did not leave until he made sure that I had a ride and was all squared away. I brought my new car to him to do a quick look-over and I was impressed by how knowledgeable he was. I offered him money, which he refused, stating that "he didn't even need to put it on the lift". This is clearly someone who is not trying to nickel and dime you. As a person without a lot of car knowledge, it was refreshing to meet such a genuinely good and trustworthy person.
