They included a heavy 40 pack of water and 2-40 # bags of salt. I requested help out. (they were heavy!) No one was coming! I waited. I finally told her I'd be at the front door. Waiting..... Finally I asked George (I asked his name) from the self check out and he said he would help me. That is what he did. Put all the heavy stuff into my car and was kind about it. You can still find great deals there--the last time I went I got a 32-oz jar of organic coconut oil for $10 (this same item was marked for around $23 at the local health food store). It's definitely hit or miss but when you find the good deals, they are worth the drive out there.

Most of the time the checkers don't speak except to say there you go, have a nice day as they hand over the receipt. The other day I looked at the guy checking and said "you're welcome and he just turned away. I went to customer service and told the guy there that since my money spent there helps pay the help, they could at least say thank you. He just nodded and looked the other way. I know how hard it is to find help. these days, but it's important to train the checkers and other staff the importance of treating the customers courteously. I live out of town and have to drive quite a ways to get to the store. I guess I better find another grocer as I won't be treated that way any longer. I guess my business isn't wanted. As for the bakery section, know any other bakery that sells 4 day old pastry? They take fresh baked pastry, place them in a plastic container and they get all soft. I was excited to see quail eggs available, but opted for local chicken eggs instead. We slso grabbed a couple of pounds of carrots for the begging burros. Prices were reasonable. They were following safety precautions- counting customers in/out & encouraging spacing... there were also directional floor stickers that were regularly ignored. Staff were incredibly friendly and each one we crossed not only greeted us, they also made small talk, without being overly intrusive. Staff were in masks, as were about 50% of patrons. Self-checkout, do no cashier interaction to rate. We were pleased & would shop here again.
