I don't recommend children under 2 for his ride. The adult elephants are very high, could get a little scary for the smaller kids. The camel rides have a age limit of 3. The elephant feeding is fun too. The zoo provides chopped apples that you can hand to the elephant. They take them out of your hand with their trunk and eat it...so cool! The nicest part of the zoo is the giraffe stand. Where you can walk to the top and be face to face with the giraffes inches away and watch them feed out of a box. They are docile and friendly animals, real gentle giants. The zoo not big so walkable without a stroller. Kids under 4 are free.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was very expensive but also very good. Our breakfast was included in the price of the hotel and it was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this hotel for families as the waterpark (comparable to Great Wolf Lodge) adjoins just a short walk away. Also connected to the hotel, a grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, DD Dunkin Donuts and much more. Shopping at an American style mall is minutes away as well. Our teenager had a great time at the waterpark- so did we. We also loved exploring St Gallen and Bodensee in Rorschach, about 15-20 min away.

They have several "Catapullar" like machines, a crane and a front loader the kids can operate for one Frank. Super realistic . They also have mini cars and a cool track where the kids can drive- also one Frank for about 5 minutes. Really fun. Above the restaurant is a city owned park with gobs of water features, climbing stuff, a mini zip line and ropes to climb on. Gorgeous park! The restaurant is called Schlucher-Treff.
