They were extremely helpful and told me the cost if the part and shipping which I found very affordable. I had a complicated repair job…read more My $6,000 John Suttner concertina case was broken because the lesser quality hinges had entirely snapped off, and were barely useable. In fact, my concertina fell out of it's case, on a snowy day, and onto the pavement. By the grace of God, the instrument was not seriously harmed beyond a nasty scratch. I was sure that Altman's was going to use plastic or something etc. I spoke to them concerning my trepidation. They said that I would be very happy with the result once complete. Considering that I paid less than I expected, I was very pleased with their work. They had to remove the lining and put it back etc. They ordered the best quality well-made hinges with stops that allow you to leave the top of the case open, now and then, without the hinges simply snapping over time. Note: It is still better to lean the top of the case against a surface etc, Prior to this the case had to be leaned against surface area all the time or the hinges would snap over time pretty quicky.

I only wanted the suitcase. I messaged customer support and they told me they cannot do anything. I tried to send an email instead and the text box just disappears when I click on it. The website feels unpolished as so many errors occur preventing me from making the purchase I want. Additionally, the customer service is horrible. This seems like it should be a very easy fix.
