At 3:00 the day of the job they called and said they had other jobs come up and would be out "within a week." That did not happen. After about two weeks I called and spoke with a receptionist who told me I would receive a call soon with an estimate as to when the job might be done. That also did not happen. 53 days after the original no show, they called and said they were coming that day to do the job. No apology or explanation was offered. There was no acknowledgement of the fact that "within a week" had turned into close to two months with absolutely zero communication originating from them. So I opted not to give them the job. Unfortunately, I have no idea how good a job they do, and I'll never be finding out because the service was thoroughly unacceptable in my experience, and that was before they had even done anything.

I've been a long time customer of SpringGreen-Marietta OH, with no major issues until this year…read more This year the quality/consistency of their services have declined considerably and they're not providing all the lawn treatments that were quoted to me when I prepaid for the entire year in advance. When I call their office and press "1" for EXISTING CUSTOMERS, I get voicemail. When I call back immediately and press "2" for NEW CUSTOMERS, they answer the phone. In my opinion, it appears they're more focused on getting new customers than servicing existing ones. In previous years, they treated my lawn on a fairly consistent schedule of approx every 6-weeks. This year, they've extended their treatment schedule to approx every 8-weeks. That's nearly 2-months between treatments, which is way too long to promote a healthy lawn. I've had to call them twice this year to ask WHEN they're going to service my lawn. My latest issue is SpringGreen-Marietta not providing services that were quoted to me by phone in March of this year. They quoted me a price for "the same treatments as last year." I specifically asked if Grub Control was included and they replied, "Yes, same as previous years." They offered a small discount if I prepaid for the entire year in advance, so I provided my credit card number. Today I was told Grub Control was not part of my contract, even though I've always had Grub Control in previous years. I spoke with their Manager and reminded him of our conversation in March when he said Grub Control would be included..."same as previous years." His response was that we must have had an error in communication. He made no effort to correct the error or provide the Grub Control treatment that was quoted to me. When I asked him why their treatment schedule has extended to nearly 2-months between treatments, he said they have only one relatively new Technician to service all of Belpre and the surrounding areas. If you're considering SpringGreen-Marietta (or any other lawn service company), I'd suggest you get a Quote in writing before you prepay them for the entire year. Make sure to ask them what frequency they will be providing the lawn treatments. Do not depend on their PHONE Quotations, as they may be subject to "an error in communications."
