Initially Allen said he charges 3,000 per day and the job would take three days to complete. He then called his son Trevor over and asked him what he thought they should charge, Trevor immediately said 2,000. Allen drew up the estimate and had me sign. After looking more closely at the estimate, he had written 3,000 instead of the agreed upon 2,000. He also required a 2,000 deposit, i.e., one day advance payment. Considering the deposit was 2K, I again am under the impression that he is charging me 2K per day. Good Ole Boys completed the job, we discussed additional work and I told him I didn't have the funds to clear the remainder of my driveway as I was focussing on other projects at my home. Also, he was pressuring me to have him cut down another dead tree that is at the edge of the property. Again, I reiterated that my funds were being directed to my home. He did the additional work without my consent and without discussing and agreeing upon scope and cost, then sent me a bill via text message for 3,000 the very next day. I responded that I would like to discuss billing with him. He sent a barrage of photos and videos of the work he had done. When we finally discussed the billing he denied the "bait and switch" on the estimate and told me I owed him an additional 3,000 for the unapproved work. If I failed to pay him what he demanded I would be sued and a lien would be placed on my property. He even resorted to name calling. Wow, what an unprofessional business and shady business practices. I am a senior and feel that I have been hoodwinked and bullied. Beware of this man, he is not the "Good Ole Boy" he wants you to think he is, all he wants is your money.

Coulter Berry made an appointment in 2 days and did a complete job. After taking tree down, him and his coworker hauled off all the limbs and trunk and did a complete cleanup of yard in one day. I want to retract my review of this company. I was SO IMPRESSED!! But, in my cost (close to $10k)…read moreit stated my chain linked fence would be taken down and replaced back in PROPER place. When the guys returned to pick up the huge brush pile, their removeal of fence and their replacement of it was pathetic. I have dogs (they knew this). The chain link fence post holding the two panels 1) wasn't even hammered back into ground 2) there is now at least a 2-3 inch gap at the bottom that can easily be pushed so is of NO USE. The top of the chain link was attatched (two sections mind you) by two hooks that they haphazard "rigged". Due to health issues (a broken foot) i was unable to CK the fence but thought it would be great given their professionism. I was WRONG. I've sent multiple emails, calls and texts to owner Ed Sheffey and Bo Rowan since the beginning of Nov. with NOT EVEN A WORD in response. Everything I previously stated I retract. Any company (esp one you've done $$$ business with) should respond to ANY inquiry. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & TAKING RESP FOR THEIR WORK. I (who am on a very limited income but was fortunate to have some funds, due to my Father's passing, for household repairs.) NOW will have to spend MORE MONEY to replace / repair my chain link fence that was in excellent condition with no holes, gaps etc.. No response is unacceptable with the amt of money you have to spend for tree removal and for the end result to be shoddy, inconsiderate and ignored. I would give NO STARS if I could. I do NOT appreciate a company taking my money, mangling my fenced area for my dogs (which they had knowledge) and having NO RESPECT or CONSIDERATION for their customer. Pathetic. Do not let them lie to you about their great, Veteran service because 1) there is no respect for their customer and 2) any follow up or questions or ANYTHING - after THEY DEEM JOB COMPLETED- will be IGNORED. In my exp this indicates that they acknowledge their mistake but do not give a damn to either speak to their customer about it or to repair the damage THEY caused and guarenteed.
