Do not waste your time!!! My wife ordered a chicken bacon ranch wrap with no bacon. It came out with bacon in it. We sent it back. They sent it back out saying that there was not any bacon in it. Server asked if we wanted something else. She said no. She picked all of.the bacon out and told server to show the kitchen staff and I said I would not be paying for her food. She said best she could do was 10% off. We asked for manager. We were told manager was too busy and the 10% off was best we were going to get. Paid the bill and said we would leave reviews and would never be back. Thoroughly disappointing experience. read more

Expect long waits for food. This is my second time and on both occasions it took an hour plus to get your food. On my list for most sub par cheese curds -expensive and quantity is terrible for what you pay. Hamburger was the only plus. It was very good. We love going here! It's a great little place, and always busy, when we see a less full parking lot we have to stop. We were greeted right away and seated just as fast. Our server was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed, even before we asked! (Kids always need extra napkins, and we didn't have to ask.). The food was hot, good portions, and we didn't have to wait long. They had baseball on the tvs and it was not ridiculously loud. Made for a great experience as usual. read more

Cheese curds are spectacular, beef tips are oddly fried in a batter, pretzel bites are luscious. Ribs are really very good, pork steak is not. Salads are just ok. Came here for dinner on a Friday night and was not at all disappointed. We got our waitress from last time (Celeste) and she was before and now a very good waitress. Attentive, very friendly and inviting. We started with the crab dip which I highly recommend with both pita bread and chips. My wife had the Italian sausage and pesto which was great (but you have to like pesto which she forgot she doesn't, but she still enjoyed her meal) and I got the risotto, which I admit I panicked-picked lol but ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Stopped by here on Labor Day, the place was packed so looked like a good spot. The bloody Mary's were delicious and the server was friendly. We ordered two appetizers, nachos and cheese curds. The appetizers were disappointing to say the least. Typically when I order nachos they come out piled high these were simply a few chips scattered on a platter with beans and cheese on top. As a sports bar, the Lumberyard is pretty good. As a food place, not so much. It's a cozy place to chill, watch the games, and nosh on some standard bar food. The Lumberyard has a lodgelike look that makes it seem like you're at a remote cabin in the woods, except that it's attached to the hotel and faces the main street and parking lots. It doesn't feel like a hotel restaurant, though. The bar is stocked well with local craft brews and few major brands and the employees are friendly. The food is standard bar food, presented well-enough, but just lacking any real pizzaz. Not that it was bad, just ordinary. If you're in need of a place to watch the game, have a beer (or more) the Lumberyard is great. If you're in search of a breakfast spot, or even a quick lunch, but have no need of a trendy, high-brow place, this works for that, too. read more

Bar/Restaurant is connected to the Woodfield Suites. Not too sure how old it is but is seemed pretty new and clean when I walked in. About 15 stools surround a doglegged bar. Maybe another 15 tables fill the rest of the room. At least 8 average sized TVs with at least 3 different sports channels on. No sound however. There is country music playing in the background. My review is both good and bad leading to an average rating. The meal started with one of the smallest side salads I have ever seen. 1/8 of a semi fresh tomato, 2 thin cucumber slices, 3 or 4 small store bought croutons and about 5 forkfuls of not so fresh iceberg lettuce. Also came with a bag of Paul Newman dressing! The on the other hand my soup was very good! I ordered the Chicken Rice and I thought it had great flavor with lots of rice and veggies. My main course (Sirloin Tips with mushrooms) came out pipping hot I thought it was a good deal for the price. $12. A drawback to this establishment is in its design. Noises carry very easily in the open space. Regular chit chat is not a problem, but loud noises seem to go through the whole room. Kids and people with booming voices or loud laughs can ruin a quite meal! It would be a great place to watch a game with friends however! Keep in mind that this place is more like a nice sports bar with food than a restaurant. read more

The food was fantastic! I went on a Thursday and there was a 25 min wait, but it was worth it. I had the Big Tex burger with cheese curds. My wife had the Hangover burger. Both were huge and very good. Ordered the fried pickle spears to start. I liked these but prefer fried pickle chips. I will definitely go back some time. read more

We had a great Fish Fry here on a recent Friday night. I was in town visiting family and we had a good dozen of us. They were very accommodating and our server did an excellent job of taking good care of us, especially all our varied beer needs! The fish fry itself was good. The fish was a good sized portion with a nice batter, I liked it a lot. The coleslaw was just OK, nothing special, and the same with the tartar sauce--seemed like it was from a jar, not homemade. But all in all, it was a good fish fry. read more

This is the restaurant/Bar & Grill connected to Woodfiled Inn & Suites. We stayed at the hotel for a wedding and included with our stay was complimentary breakfast which is at Lumberyard. It was a Saturday morning so I don't know if this is always the set up, but you are given a small menu of 3 choices for breakfast and everything is made to order, instead of a typical hot buffet setup. The choices were Oatmeal, Eggs with a sausage patty and toast, or pancakes. We went with the Eggs platter. Your breakfast also comes with your choice of a beverage. We opted for coffee. The waitstaff is very young, so young that when we tried to order bloodies, we were told that they can't serve alcohol and would have to call their bartender to come in since they were all underage. The eggs were fluffy, the toast wasn't greasy, and the sausage patty was very adequate. I have no complaints. The staff, being as young as they were, our coffee mugs were constantly refilled. Even though the service was attentive, I saw many people leave without leaving a tip. People, these kids still have to wait on you and clean after you regardless whether or not you paid for the food. Please leave a sufficient tip, just a few dollars will do. Pro Tip: leave a tip! Elite Pro Tip: surprisingly awesome and cheap craft tap list! Wasn't the all time worst but was certainly not good. Potato soup was gross. Mushroom soup was watery for a cream soup. Wrap was not good beef tips were greasy but had a great flavor. Everyone had stomach cramps and had to use the restroom. While we were washing up another customer also had same issues. Worst service in recent memory. Waited 80 minutes for breakfast order to arrive. Left before food was delivered. Waitstaff didn't think this delay was out of the ordinary. This place is a gem hidden in marshfield. I spent two weeks here last year while my husband was in the hospital and wish I had known about it then. My family stayed at the hotel connected to the restaurant so eating here was easiest. What a surprise to see GF meals that included PASTA!!! BURGERS!! an APPETIZER *what what? I had the chicken alfredo and thought I'd died and hit heavens gates, only feedback is noodles were a bit mashed together. Maybe over cooked. But the flavors and chicken were excellent. Next meal, I had the most amazing burger on a GF bun. The GF bun to beef ratio was PERFECT. So often, the bun over powers the beef and I usually end up ditching the bun, but this burger was PERFECT! It's a small town so I thought I'd come back to what I've already enjoyed and dinner tonight didn't disappoint... the medallion beef pasta dish. Good God. It was delicious. Their roasted carrot soup is to die for. If you find yourself in Central Wisconsin...and are human and get hungry, please don't NOT eat here! Service was great, friendly, fast. I arrived at this restaurant around 6:30pm and the bar and restaurant was packed. I went by myself and the hostess gave me an option to either wait 30 minutes or can have my dinner at the bar. Due to I was the only one, I preferred sitting at the bar. When I sat at the bar, there are 3 bartenders and I was served less than a minute, which is perfect. I ordered my dinner right away which was the Friday Fish Fry for 9.99 special. I was given the options of baked fish, deep fry fish, black grill fish. I picked deep fry. I also ordered the fries with that and they had the choice of potato. While I waited, I was served a diet dew that I ordered with ice. While I waited, I looked around. The establishment is clean, it is a sports bar with sports on the tv screens around the bar area. There was a birthday party happening in the corner of the restaurant, so I know they do hold small birthday parties. I noticed that even with 3 bartenders working behind the bar, they smiled only at their customers, but not while preparing the drinks. They were also tripping over each other instead of being in the designated stations. One server slams bottles and glasses on the bar, back bar, and anywhere she can slam something and never smiled while making the drinks. It would help if she made at least one smile while making a drink. She does smile at the customer when it is served, but not while making the drink. They all need to work on that. The dinner came less than 10 minutes. My plate consisted of the deep fry fish, toasted bread, coleslaw, tarter sauce, fries, and garnished with lettuce and a slice of lemon. The fish was excellent with the right temperature and not under nor over fried. Fries were not hot, they were warm and there was no steam coming out of them when broken in half. The coleslaw tasted fresh. Everything else was excellent. My thoughts, I will come again and hopefully the bartenders can make the drinks with a smile. read more
